  1. Personally, I would love to have Pelini. I think he's #3 on most Aggies' lists, but the inability to defend a rushing attack like Wisconsin's scares some people.
  2. Chip Brown also said there was zero chance A&M goes to the SEC. Guy is a moron. SEC decides what bowls teams go to. Theyre just deciding it should be someone else, like Arky. Y'alls obsession with the SEC is kinda sad.
  3. I'll get an answer to you today, gents. Perhaps I misunderstood him. Good kid. Great kid.
  4. He's a student of mine and has been wearing a Husker hoody. I've been a litte surprised, so I asked him why, and he said it was because he was going there on football scholarship. Like I said, I'll get him to clarify tomorrow.
  5. The 2 year scholarship thing is throwing me off. I'll ask him tomorrow when he comes back in.
  6. No. It's this guy: http://www.hudl.com/athlete/1012170/justin-collins
  7. Anyone know anything about him? I ask because he says Nebraska has offered him a 2 year scholarship?
  8. What type of schedule, specifically?
  9. I'm just gonna leave this here...http://collegefootball.ap.org/article/data-shows-no-evidence-sec-bias-poll
  10. Because you don't do the same when things go well? Don't have time, I'm over here bashing my head against a wall, trying to dispel you crazy conspiracy theorists who have created the SEC Boogeyman. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  11. Just so more people see this BS ESPN continues to shovel: Thanks for posting this. I don't know how to post pics/vids in the forum. Also note the caption by ESPN "Dawgs are now pulling away" [35-32] Also, I believe Tenn answered every one of the "Dawgs" TDs so there was no "pulling away". I wonder if this spin has any effect on voters, the committee. Missouri is back in the AP after losing to freaking Indiana. SCar doesn't fall out of the poll after getting shellacked by ATM meanwhile #15 Arizona State tumbles out of the poll after losing to #11 UCLA. South Carolina beat Georgia, ranked, while Mizzou beat them. It's disingenuous to assume it's just because they are an SEC school. It's almost as if you have SEC-Derangement Syndrome. Everything that goes bad, and y'all start hollering "SEC!"
  12. It'll be interested to see what they think when they all start playing each other. I'm gonna say no team gets out of conference play undefeated.
  13. Yeah, they haven't won a conference championship outright on the field since WWII and struggled to be more than one game over .500 in conference the previous five years. Pretty quality. Missouri records and conference finishes since 2007: 2007: 12-2 T- 1st B12N 2008: 10-4 T-1st B12N 2009: 8-5 T- 2nd B12N 2010: 10-3 T-1st B12N 2011: 8-5 5th 2012: 5-7 T-5th East 2013: 12-2 1st East No, no outright championships but they have clearly had a run of success. They haven't exactly been B12 bottom feeders like Kansas
  14. And I DO think the SEC is the best conference in football, but I certainly don't think they are VASTLY better.
  15. On the Duke comment...you have to look no further than the Mississippi schools every year for that truth. Ole Miss and Mississippi State are usually absolute crap, but get through their first three non-conference powderpuffs and find themselves ranked in the teens or better. It's early. They haven't played anyone, and LSU might be the worst team in the SEC west. It'll all shake out, whether or not you believe in the SEC media conspiracy. This is why I love the idea of the playoff committee not coming out with rankings until late October. It will show a greater body of work to prove why one team is ranked above another. This is an excellent point. You can't stop the media and coaches from voting, but the "official" ranking waiting til October is good.
  16. Yep, we went 1-1 against the SEC. So apparently the SEC is just as bad as the B1G. These two statements say that that at the very least, the B1G is as strong as the SEC... Vandy is flat out horrible. No argument there, but certainly not indicative of conference strength. Line up the conferences from top to bottom and what are the records of #1 played #1, etc, all the way down. I don't know enough about Mizzou to know what triggered their success, but they've had a quality program for awhile. A&M went through a coaching change, had one of the best college quarterbacks in a generation, and changed their system completely...not to mention have had a HUGE uptick in recruiting. It's not as if the same team that blew several 2nd half leads our last year or two in the Big Dumpster Fire is the same that went to the SEC. LOTS of factors were different.

  18. First of all, I wasn't arguing how much better the SEC is than the B1G. I was simply saying arguing Mizzou as evidence that the SEC is weak and that there is some media conspiracy propping up the SEC is false, especially when the fact that that coaches have a poll too, that also shows SEC quality. As far as NU vs A&M, I really only think performance in current conferences is relevant. Overall A&M: 24-6 (80% winning pcg) NU: 32-12 (72.7% winning pcg) Conference A&M: 11-6 (64.7% winning pcg) NU: 17-9 (70.1% winning pcg) So, according to this, A&M is better overall while NU is better during conference play. We could also examine who each team plays every year and how well they did if you REALLY want to delve, but again, my point wasn't to argue that the SEC is better than the B1G OR that A&M is better than Nebraska. I was only pointing out that a lot of energy on this thread was being dedicated to media conspiracy about the SEC and that SEC isn't very good.
  19. Because which one of us has won more games last year? Or three years? Or five years? Or 10 years? Or 15 years? Or 30 years? Or 50 years? Who is "us?" Nebraska vs A&M? B1G vs SEC? How far back does it matter to still be relevant?
  20. Maybe y'all could focus more on winning and less on how this is all some SEC conspiracy? So Mizzou lost...this year's team is different from last year's team. Y'all are acting as if one team losing proves the entire conference is weak.
  21. Beat the Hell outta Miami!! WHOOP!
  22. I disagree. Granted, they haven't really played anyone yet but Oklahoma looks like an all around pretty solid team right now. Plus the fact that Trevor Knight looks like he could be a good one. Time will tell. We will see tomorrow on how the show up against WVU....
  23. Well yeah. We had 39,000 students at the last game with 104,000 attendance...so....what? about 38% of the stadium?
