  1. XD! That's a great piece of work.
  2. If we win, good things will happen. If we don't - well, it'll be a test of our midseason mettle. Remember last year, after we lost a heartbreaker to TTech? After beating Baylor on the road (by 9), we then went on to lose 3 straight, including a rout by KANSAS. Losing can kill our momentum and make it a long season if we don't react properly. Recent history (2002, Penn State; 2004, Southern Miss) suggests that we should be worried about maintaining momentum.
  3. I agree, Chase Daniel looks like the real deal. Ok State and ISU aren't looking too bad; OU I'm not scared of at all. I just think it's such a pity we're not scheduled against them this year, because it's the perfect year to beat them.
  4. We were 17-point underdogs to CU?!???!!
  5. Texas DROPPED...wow. if we win, I say we go top ten.
  6. Well is an understatement there - 28 points out of a defense is monstrous I made a bunch of bad decisions, in general...ah well. KansasRed had a huge day.
  7. Man, I hope OU doesn't lose. If they escape with just one loss (likely Texas), we'll likely face them in the Big 12 championship if we can knock off Texas...better than facing Texas twice. I don't know - I just see (or maybe strongly hope) the Sooners pulling off a victory here. 31-20.
  8. Jake Plummer, you're killin' me. Aim9 - you think you had it bad? Jake threw 3 ints and lost a fumble. And with Drew Bledsoe's performance this week, I'm thinking I have a QB crisis...we'll see. I thought I was solid at QB...
  9. On the flip side, NSU running all those rush plays didn't help out our rush DEF stats too much. We're coming into the USC game with the most passing touchdowns thrown in the nation, and who would've thought, 6th in rushing...
  10. I sure wish we played OU this year. I'll be rooting for them all the way so we can see them in December.
  11. I'm liking our CU matchup this year. One thing, though. Just a word of caution. Remember, back in the not-too-distant past, no matter how much they sucked, they always gave us a good game? Er, well, not a "good game", a good game would be like laying down 62-0, but the scores were 17-12, 27-24, 16-14 (I think?), 33-30OT, 34-32...every year in the recent past, playing CU was kind of...who knows what's going to happen? That said, I'll enjoy CU's slide as long as it lasts. If they wind up beating us though - knock on wood - we'll look so terrible By the way, I LOVE how one of their fans said "We are the new Baylor"! We need to compile a list of depressing things CU fans jumping off the bandwagon have said these past two weeks.
  12. We've seen Lucky in short yardage situations before where he's got it, and in short yardage situations where he's been stuffed. There have been a number of short yardage situations this last game where we didn't get the first down...inexplicable, in my opinion, except that the O-line, while improved, is not entirely dominant. I think we should be a little worried about how our O-line will fare against USC...if we can't pound it inside on 3rd-and-2 with efficiency, we'll have to go for speed runs outside or short passes, which are less preferable because they're more risky. Bottom line, we need Glenn to step it up and make those plays all the time.
  13. Definitely. If we fail to establish the run, look out. That's how it was a lot of times last year, if I recall. We were relying too much on the pass, and without a reliable rushing attack, we just weren't able to get it done. We can't have Zac tossing it up fifty times a game, taking sacks and hits, and having to ice down his shoulders after every play. We need our rushing attack to be consistent and something we can count on all year. ST also huge...Congdon missed one today, what happened?!
  14. I hate to call it this way, and I hope this won't happen, but here's an honest prediction of how I expect the game to go. Hopefully, it doesn't, again... USC 34 Nebraska 21 Rush - 133 Pass - 272 Not saying that's how I want it to go, or that I don't have faith in our team, but any way I slice it, this game is a probable loss...
  15. Where is Nate Swift today? Just one target so far, I believe.
  16. I would be concerned if this were La Tech - speaking of which, our sack count there WAS some cause for concern for me. But NSU throws the ball three times a game. Hard to get "sacks" in that case.
  17. Ah, I see...it wasn't working on my laptop, which doesn't haveexternal speakers plugged in, so that may explain it. Thanks. Lucky over 100 yds!
  18. Let's not get ahead of ourselves yet We're still playing Nicholls St.
  19. Could've been good running the option. For an option QB, that's decent passing ability.
  20. Hey - for those of you listening to the online radio, can you do me a favor? I'm still trying to diagnose my problem on my other computer. Right click somewhere in the bottom-left region of the window, it should say "About Flash Player..." For those of you with working audio, does it say "About Macromedia Flash Player 8"? Or "Adobe Flash Player 9"?
  21. Got it! Worked on another computer, so switching PCs now...don't know what happened...
  22. I had to click on the "more" icon of the football article on the front of huskers.com. Then it will take you to a page wher you can cnlick on "live broadcast" link. the site seems to be a bit slow. That's what I did too. But it's different now. Isn't it? It's going through Flash player or whatever...still nothing going.
