  1. We weren't talking about the tunnel walk... the "Walk" was when the players came into the stadium off the bus and all the fans could line up on each side of them.
  2. I think that has nothing to do with it because they will get their tape. My guess is that the athletic department is still in a bit if debt and the game is something they won't make much money off of. Also is is possible there are still tickets left at the ticket office that Nichollas State sent back that haven't been sold yet and they are looking to push those?
  3. I was wondering the same thing. I heard nothing about it last week, I wondering with the new locker room if it has gotten the ax. Maybe with enough fans asking for it they will bring it back
  4. Absolutly you can listen to the game online at Huskers.com. On Huskers.com on the right side of the page there is a "Live Radio" link. From there you can select to listen to the pinnacle sports broadcast. You can listen to everything from the pre-game to the game to the post-game. You also can listen to sports nightly every night on there as well.
  5. Rose isn't that bad during the games, even though I don't like how he gets overly excited about a 3 yard run. Only problem I have with him is on the Callahan show. He has some of the stupidest statements, followed by even dumber questions. I enjoy watching the Callahan show cause it involves the football team, Big Red Extra on NETV is also a great alternative and you get to list to Adrian whose vioce I never get tired off
  6. Also on FSN's pre-season Big 12 preview an analyst picked ISU to win the Big 12 in a landside becasue 1) They have lost it the last two years on the final game.... WHAT?!?!? So they've lost it in a big game the last two years, and this for some reason shows they can win the division? Great logic buddy! 2) If the guy would look at the schedule he'd see that not only does ISU have a extremly tough schedule but also there defense is made of a ton of guys that played in high school last year. But I guess I am just some college student... I don't get paid a bunch of money to just throw out random ignorant comments.
  7. I would think that would be better on your legs because on grass it gets much muddier and can cause more twisting in the knees if your cleats get caught. It is just one of those things the announcers say to have something to say... did you also hear before the game when the analyst said Marlon Lucky is shakey catching the ball out of the backfield!!! Do your homework... note to FSN, stop giving jobs to former players who are idiots.
  8. Good point... why bring a kid that one won't remember going to the game and 2 you'll have to worry about running off during the whole game. Also since they probably won't be watching the game they turn into a distraction to other fans. My buddy did take his 3 yr old to the spring game and suprisingly he watched most of the game.
  9. 2 years ago when colorado played here I was able to get tickets a week before the game. CU didn't sell all of there tickets and sent them back to NU. I got the tickets from the NU ticket office for $55 I believe and they were awesome seats! I'll be at the CU game too this year... awesome luck on getting both games...
  10. Phew.......... man when I saw your post I about lost it figuring we'd lost another key cog in the system
  11. It's not clearly stated... but do you have a buy a full priced ticket at NU? LINK LAWRENCE, Kan. -- When Kansas football fans Owen and Lisa Foust headed to the Jayhawks' season opener last Saturday, they bundled up 3-month-old daughter Kate to go along. But when they presented their tickets at the gate, they were told they would need an additional $35 ticket for Kate. "I just thought it was pretty tacky," Owen Foust said. "It's just a grab for money." Kansas actually began enforcing the babies-pay policy three or four years ago, said Kansas associate athletic director Jim Marchiony. "Everybody needs a ticket regardless of age," Marchiony said. "The very small children come with backpacks and bottles and toys. ... We've received numerous complaints over the years from people who are sitting next to those people -- enough for us to know that even those sized children need the space." And, Marchiony said, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has recommended that organizations require tickets for everyone at large events as a way to keep track of numbers. The Fousts, both University of Kansas graduates, said they didn't mind paying something for Kate to get into the game, but they didn't think it should be a full-priced ticket. "This is supposed to be a family-friendly environment," Owen Foust said. "I don't think that policy promotes that [environment] much." Kate -- and any child under 3 -- would be able to get in free for a Kansas City Chiefs game. "It's a question of the actual seat," said Chiefs spokesman Bob Moore. "If there's no one sitting in the seat, then there's no reason to sell the seat." Moore said he believed most professional football teams have the same policy. Fans under 2 also can get in free to see the Missouri Tigers or Kansas State Wildcats play, and those under 1 don't pay for tickets at Iowa State. "We just felt like a 1-year-old doesn't take up that much room," said Matt Johnson, director of ticket operations at Iowa State. "We get calls all the time saying: 'Thanks for not making our 2-month-old pay."' But Nebraska, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas all charge for babies who are brought to games. "Our stadium is sold out on a season-ticket basis with a long waiting list," said Keith Mann, spokesman at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. "Everyone has to have a ticket." Making exceptions for babies "leads to too much decision-making at the gate," said Kenny Mossman, athletic department spokesman at Oklahoma. Texas women's athletic director Christine Plonsky argues that safety is an issue. "The ruler here of stadium and game management is our fire marshal," she said. The Fousts say the policy won't dampen their Kansas spirit. "Kate will probably go to some games," Owen Foust said. "And we certainly want Kate to be a KU graduate someday."
  12. I think Brooks will be a big player in the years to come, Callahan has stated that he is on the verge of breaking into the rotation and he is only a sophmore this year.
  13. How were you tickets $65 a piece? I just looked at tickets and for two with shipping they were $87. Or did you get reserved for $65 a piece?
  14. I sat on the grass two years ago... they really aren't that bad of "seats" plus I was standing most of the time. I was also on the side where the team comes out, I was able to stand right up against about a 4 foot high fence and high-5 all the players so that was cool. That berm is in the opposite endzone of the scoreboard/video board and to the left if you are standing on the field.
  15. I was at the game, but was just taking to a buddy who has dishnetwork and he said during the game he saw that the game would be on dish for 29.99. However I do see there is still no annoucement on the University website
  16. I believe you don't have to go through that gate... they just suggest that gate because it is the closest gate to your section. Just depends what ticket taker you get, they may make you go to the right gate.
  17. I park at around 15th and "O". Maybe 16th... just if you are coming off the interstate go south and take a left on "O" and on your right after a few blocks there is a parking structure that is only $5. On your walk from the parking garage there are a lot of places to eat and the NU Bookstore, where they record the pre-game show. What section are you in the north stadium? I entered through gate 12 and had no problem getting in, went very fast. Last week they opened 2 hours before kick off, but no need to be there that early. If you want to see the starting linesup I'd be there hour early for sure and if you are in your seat that early there is no way you'll miss the tunnel walk as that happens at most, 10 minutes before kick off. Also if you get there early go through the Trophy room. It is on the west side of the stadium... in there you can see all of our team and individual trophies and go through the Heisman room. Have fun at the game... it's defiantly heaven on earth
  18. Brown is the top cover corner for the Longhorns and will be out against Ohio State ane maybe longer due to gun and drug charges. Mack Brown hasn't said if the suspension is going to be longer the the Ohio State game, but if he is out for the year this would be very helpful to us!
  19. On the new depth chart released today, Culbert is still listed as a back-up safety
  20. All would depend on the score... a blow out yes... a close game no, it would be possible to even move up in a close game
  21. So in the AP poll we actually dropped a spot. The USA Today poll we went up one spot, we are ranked 21st in both polls. Oregon jumped us in the AP, Oregon played well, but not like we played a bad game. Maybe after we beat USC we can fit into the top 20
  22. I didn't have much problem getting in the stadium... I was at gate 12. I guess I also was there at 12:15. I second the bathroom problem, I am in section 33 and had to walk pretty much to the other end of the north stadium for a men's bathroom, I know the women's line takes longer but geez what were there 8 women's bathrooms for the 1 mens???? On another note, isn't it nice to complain about bathrooms rather then getting beat by Montanta State at home
  23. When players left the field before the game... the only two players I saw in street clothes were Bowman and Nick Covey, both in NU sweatsuits. Keller can not suit up in anyway, but I was assuming he'd be in sweats also, maybe he was just not on the field for pregame activities.
