They played hard and with emotion, and that is a good thing, but it is also an EXPECTED thing. I like the fact that you think that you know what all "TRUE" Husker fan is and should do. I will not let go of the past. I also think that most fans realize (with a 4-5 record) that we are definately not in the past. With a 4-5 record, I would be upset if Husker fans were not up in arms with unacceptance. What I'm saying is, you support your team. You see how they played the season to this point, you be happy when they show inprovement. Yes it is expected but with this team, you can't expect it. You still have to show support for your team, the players. Praise them when they do good. Yesterday, and I mean yesterday, they played with the heart and intinsity that had been missing. It's not the players fault Cosgrove did make adjustments to the read-option. They put their bodies in a position to make plays with 8 men in the box and left the corners open, not the players faults. Am I happy that we lost? NO, I'm never happy when we lose. I AM Happy that they finally showed up and played with the above mentioned attributes. The coahes deserve the lashing out, not the team.

I won't disagree saying that they are a legit top 15 team, at this point. I'll wait for the season to play out and if Kansas is as good as they say they are or other people say they are, I'll eat my words. But, just an opinion of one person, I don't think they are all that great.

I would hold off on using the name BlackShirts for a while! Well, they played like Blackshirts for 3 quarters. In fact, that was the saddest part of that game. It wasn't the offense. Keller has been mediocre all along and the OL has been pathetic all along. It wasn't that an average team ended up smacking the defense around. It was that for the first time ever, I heard an announcer praise the Huskers for playing real hard for three quarters. Yeah, 3 quarters..............now if you're a real Husker fan, thats nothing to be proud of. Don't you all remember when the Huskers real time to kick ass was in the 4th QUARTER! NOBODY could hang late in the game like Nebraska. a TRUE husker fan supports their team and acknowledges when they do good things. This season, THIS was a good thing. TRUE husker fans have to let go of the f'ing past and live with they have now without forgeting the past.

Watch out, some of those fair weather only husker fans will come and start talking trash. Again Zoogies, I like your passion, but your argument is, "we're not as bad as many of us thought." Read that again. !!!!! A 'game' is 60 minutes. Again, NU did not play for it all. Ripped apart for pretty much a quarter on rushing is not a game. But it is one that is given up...again. I don't know if we can actually say the defense gave up in the 4 quarter. Cosgrove didn't make the adjustments. Cosgrove continued to pack the box with personnel leaving nobody to cover the corners., what do you expect? The D is going to play the scheme that the DC calls for. This team played with energy, heart and pride yesterday. That was the first time in weeks they have shown up to play ball. I'm proud of what they accomplished and to say out of the next 3 games we can't or won't get 2 of them, I'm not going to. This is college football and this season has shown us that anything can happen. It depends which of these nebraska teams show up to play the next three weeks. Yesterdays team or the OSU, AtM, Mizzo Team. We'll see, it could ACTUALLY be an interesting finish to the season, just got to let it play out. Anyways, we'll see what happens.

Come on now, Coz finally listened to the fans and but 8 in the box most of the day, if we keep asking for changes and making recommendations, his head is going to explode! He doesn't make in game adjustments, it hurts to hard for him to think about what needs to happen.

Callahan doesn't understand the importance of momentum and energy in the college game. True. We make something happen there, get even a field goal, the momentum grows for us.
