  1. After seeing some of the stuff that has been posted "Behind the Woodshed" you would think that Husker football is MORE important than that
  2. It made me want to throw up: BC- "We had a PERFECT game plan, we just didn't execute." Yep, it was perfect. Perfectly bad.
  3. DING DING DING. We have a winner! That's funny. I must be this Former Fan character because I........make a post or two similar to his/hers? Or because I am critical after a loss? Maybe Hunter94 or Nate is Former Fan? If that's the case, then you, huskerinock, bigrediowan, DaveH, newearthhusker, and gamecocks must be the same person, because you all say the samething.
  4. Maybe they should try and get a mobile qb to neutralize the pass rush. Again, a failure in philosophy. I guess we will never know because the coaches didn't even try. He certainly didn't call the game to win it. I guess I was wrong when I thought that this is what Huskerboard was for Or, is that only when you heap praise upon the team?
  5. MOVED BY MODS TO THE OFFENDING POSTS THREAD DUE TO VIOLATION OF BOARD RULES CONCERNING POSTING ON TOPIC.
  6. Run draws At least TRY!!!!!! If the running game doesn't, and the passing game doesn't, then your screwed. And to those who keep talking about that gameplan was sound, but poor execution due to "pentalties and turnovers" NU had 5 penalties (USC had 7) and 1 turnover. Throw another BS card.
  7. I don't get how that is contradicting himself? What's your angle? What don't you get? He said "We knew we could run..." and then said that "in an evironment such as this it was going to be tough." Which one is it?
  8. Anything angers those fans. I mean anything. If the opposition doesn't have 0 points and 5 total yards and NU doesn't have at least 45 points, it's the worst game in 10 years. It get's old. Excuses get old. True, and NU is not. NU will never get to the promised land with this Big 10 like defensvie philosophie. We need faster, not bigger, LB's, DT's and DE's.
  9. Sure, but will BC give up on that game, too?
  10. Yes, it would be refreshing to have a coach that took responsibility for his lousy performance, instead of passing it off on his players.
  11. I have to throw the BS card in here. You really need to stop making excuses for the way that the coaches gave up. Do you really think that "pounding the rock" against a team who was weakest in its secondary was the way to go? In the World Herald today, BC said that "We had chances, but we just didn't execute." Excuse me, had chances like what, when NU got the ball back with almost 3 minutes in the first half, he ran 3 straight run plays to run the clock? B.S. Hell, even Frank the Tank would have tried to get a screen pass, or get on the corner with his qb. He also contradicted himself by saying that "We did what we planned to do to win the football game. We knew that we could come in and run the football." (Yeah, for only 1.9 yds per carry? ) 2 sentences later-"Again, let me be very clear, we wanted to run the football, and in a tough environment llike this, it's a real challenge to do that."
  12. Do you really expect those guys to give NU fans any props? C'mon
  13. I agree. I thought that one of the reasons Solich was fired and BC was brought in was to get a coach who runs the "dynamic" West Coast Offense.....only to call a game plan that made Solich look like a disciple of Steve Spurrier.
  14. Not I. Beating the teams that NU is supposed to beat, and rolling over to the elite is not going to get a pass from many Husker fans.
  15. As one poster commented, BC has been breaking down film of USC in anticipation of this game since he got here, that would be 3 years. And this was the best he could do Ah from a poster? Hmmm and just exactly what proof did he have of this? Hell I can say all the sh#t I want on here but doesn't mean its true or correct! I thought even you wouldn't believe all you read on here! I don't. It was something that StuckinChicago said, that someone he knows who is "very close friends of BC" had said. I don't know if it's true or not, but if you want to call out SiC, then that is between the 2 of you.
  16. As one poster commented, BC has been breaking down film of USC in anticipation of this game since he got here, that would be 3 years. And this was the best he could do
  17. Kind of like every post you make... What's your problem, newbie?
  18. That is part of the problem, BC really doesn't understand. He can read all the books he wants, and act as if he as become acclimated to Nebraska, but I don't think he could ever truly understand. Thank you sir, for the sacrifices you made to this great country.
  19. Look, I'm not saying that Frank ever would have brought NU back to the top (who knows), but if this staff is going to roll over to "Mighty USC" and not even fight, I would rather have a guy like Dan McCarney coaching NU.
  20. I would rather lose not at all, but aside from that, I would like to have at least TRIED to win. You can bet it will be the same old politician/coachspeak--aka alot of words, no meaning.
  21. Only a true loser would take that point of view. Listen people, its not THAT NU lost, it's HOW they lost. BC didn't coach the game to win, he coached not to get blown out. By doing that, he is not displaying leadership. Seeing that Taylor and some of the others were pissed, I hope he doesn't lose this team, too. IF he even would have tried for one quarter, two series, anything, to exploit the weakness of their defense, I would give him a pass on it. But besides the touchdown drive (which worked well) he never did.
  22. I would agree, and it's another philosophical failure on the part of the staff. How many WR's, TE's and QB's does a program need? They only have 85 to give and it seems as if about 40% of them have been given to those 3 positions.
  23. I agree with you on that! As far as can NU have a good season. Certainly, but it depends on how "good season" is defined. At a bare minimum, if NU doesn't win the North, the season is a failure. It seems like NU still has not gotten back to the level of the elite, unfortunately.
