I agree w/ you about injuries. But this season he will be handling most of the carries, if he can in fact stay healthy, and I really think that if he is successfull then his confidence will continue to build. He is a very important aspect in getting our running game well, up and running, if I may. He has shown great ability to break into the secondary. Also you never know if one of the backs lower on the depth chart will emerge. Jackson was third string @ the start of last season. But I have plenty of faith in our North Hollywood boy!
I don't know...it's just that nothing he has done has made me say 'wow'. He just seems like a back that's a little above par for NCAA and don't think he'll ever do much (if he even goes) pro. He's injury prone, afraid to run at holes, isn't really all that quick compared to some other backs in the game, and my number one biggest gripe...he goes down fast...doesn't break too many tackles.
