Well,I'm old enough to remember Fryar,and he was very versitile.He was used as a flanker,we also had a reverse package for him, and he was an excellent blocker.At this point, I'd still give the nod to Irving, but Maurice has the physical tools to be better.The year Rozier won the heisman, I believe Fryar was 2nd in voting, with Gill 4th? Is that right?

I absolutely hate Pavelka as an announcer, as do many others.If we can get rid of Rose, we can do much better than Pavelka as a replacement.

Weis is even more overrated as a coach,than Notre Dame is as a team. I'd love to play them in a bowl.

I need to take off the red glasses, and take what I read,even on this site with a grain of salt.We are not the team I thought we were.Some of our recent 'great' recruits dont seem as great, as actual players.Games like last week against the longhorns where we could have won, help to get expectations too high. We, at best are the 4th or 5th best team in the Big 12, and that is debateable since we play in the north division.We would finish 4th,5th or 6th in the south division.This was fricken Okie State, and they kicked our butt today.We were lucky against KansasIf we played Texas Tech, the could litterally name the score before the game, and put that number on the board as long as it was divisable by 7 or 8! Colorado has been kicked around by us this year, but you mark my word, they will be very competative against us.Missouri looks like a loss to me, with the Aggies a tossup.I want to try not to get too down, but Callihan does not make it easy.

I agree, I knew it was bad when I first saw it, but in a replay from the endzone , it was much more appearent that if he'd have taken the opportunity that the play presented, Shanle could have (and should have) sawed Bowman in half.He needs to get some stones, and throw his body around.

Purify's personal foul takes him off the 'posotives' list for me.Set him down, and play him when he shows he can understand the importance of discipline.

Huskerdrummer,you've been watching another team if you've seen 'quite a few' touchbacks this year, or you are seeing double! I'm an old fart, and I think I could get it in the endzone as often as Cogden does.

I'm hoping we can get Murillo to comit, and he's everything we think he is. Bowman,Murillo,Thenarse, and Culpert in 2007 would make a nice backfield.

The only 2 loss teams ahead of us are Oklahoma, and LSU, so that's about right. I think LSU is too high at 14th.Two losses is two losses, regardless of preseason ranking, or percieved team strengths. At this point, I hope Notre Dame gets beat again, and if we can win out, and beat Texas, maybe we could get in a bowl matchup with ND. I think we'd beat the crap out of them.The last thing I want to see, is ND win out, and the media snake them into the national title game, but it would not surprise me. As far as us holding our poll position relatively well, I think because it was widely televised, many got to see that we had them beat, but for the unfortunate fumble, and it helped us.
