  1. Link was fixed...sorry about that. It worked this morning when I posted it, but OWH changed the story URL.
  2. Just saw this in the Omaha World Herald... Stadium Expansion Details Coming... Story Link Very interesting...personally I hope they also add another huge video board over the south stadium.
  3. This was also the same game (2007 Okie state game) that the fans released their red balloons for our "first" 1st down, instead of a touchdown. It was that bad, and it was in the second quarter I think. I was there, and I'll never forget it.
  4. Well, I can agree that we've definitely got more work to do, but man, I thought the defense did a hell of a job on several occasions. They were able to defeat several third down conversions, downgrading to field goal attempts rather than TDs. I think they did OK. Can they do better? Yes, but I think there was some solid effort today too.
  5. Well, I was there in section 18, row 93, and I think we did a fair share of yelling when we could. It get's pretty frustrating though when you're team is playing pretty badly (more than 2/3 of the game). It's just hard to get excited during times like that. I think the crowd can help pump up the players, but it's a two way street. They've got to be doing something to help keep us in the game too.
  6. Well, it just came on here about 545 with the marching band, so guess I just had to wait a few more minutes. doh!
  7. OK, I authorized the PPV feed at 5pm. It started, but then went about 2 minutes later to a color bar, and then occasionally audio from the broadcasters, but most of the audio has been behind the scenes stuff. It's now 545 pm and we still have no PPV feed. What's up? Anyone else have any ideas?
  8. Uh, not unless you own the copyright to the show, then otherwise it's federal offense.
  9. I should have added, he'd be a first class jerk if he did end up taking the LSU job and ditching NU at the altar so to speak.
  10. Personally, I kind of suspect that he's holding out for Les Miles job, whom I think is still going to Michigan, despite what he has said. If Les goes to Michigan, would Bo rather take the LSU job? Since he hasn't signed a contract here, he'd be free to take the LSU job. Or, the more logical solution, he hasn't signed his contract here so he can still coach the LSU championship game.
  11. Well, now that the coaching situation has been settled, I'm ready to contribute some money to the program. What better way to show support than to support financially if you can. Time will tell what Bo can do for the program, but let's not ask what the it can do for us, but what we can do for it. Send a few bucks if you can.
  12. Yep, he resigned from PBP coverage right before the Kansas Game.
  13. Well, the new computer models are keeping the snow south of Boulder. The models do bring snow up to Pueblo, but no further north. I eluded to this in my second post yesterday morning, and it looks like the models are honing in on that. So, for now, it looks dry, but still cold with an afternoon high just below freezing.
  14. Well, it certainly doesn't look like a blizzard, but definitely looks better for a few snowflakes to be flying before the game gets over. It's still 3 days away, and the system could pull a little further south and keep the snow out altogether.
  15. Weather looks like it might increasingly becoming a factor for the CU game. Weather forecast models are now depicting a better chance of snow during the game with a possible high temperature around 31 degrees. Considering that we haven't really played in any inclement weather yet this year, does anyone think this might be a significant factor? Also, I'm concerned about the altitude affecting our players, some who may not be in the optional conditional state. Team isn't flying out till Thursday, which gives them less then 24 hours to acclimate.
  16. As much as I don't like CU, they're going to be fighting just as much as we are. We're both 5-6. We both need one more to be bowl eligible. You don't think CU will fight for that? At home? I think, even with (insert daunting music) "The Ganz", the CU game is going to be one hell of a tough game in a very hostile environment on their turf. Will probably be one of the toughest games of the year.
  17. The OMH reported that Callahan said he left right away because it was about the players making a big win, not him. Plus, the Nebraska fans have been been downright hateful to BC and company, to the point of being cruel and heartless. He knows he's gone, so why does he need to blow smoke and play nice. He knows he's getting his multi million dollar payout regardless. He's moving on, why can't the fans.
  18. It kind of speaks volumes why the coaches are basically saying FU to the fans. We've treated them like garbage on so many occasions (and apparently their families too), and we expect them to treat us with the reverence fans think they deserve. I think our fans are just as human as any other fans across the nation, and often ask if we (the fans) have been put on a pedestal that we don't deserve.
  19. Personally, I kind of like the records that were broken today. Joe Ganz breaks the game record for passing yards, AND breaks the record for number of TDs. Woohoo!
  20. yes, the seniors needed this badly. they deserved it. One could argue that the whole team (and indeed all of Husker Nation) needed this. I believe this is what the team needed to carry them through to beat CU in 2 weeks, and possibly still salvage a lost season.
  21. It's not that big of a deal I think. The coaches already know they're gone, and rightfully so. If I knew for sure 100% certain that I was already being fired in a couple of weeks, I'd put no effort into acknowledging my boss either.
  22. Go support your team and watch the game. Trick or treating is for younger kids. If you really want candy, give your mom $3 and have her buy a couple bags at Walmart for 50% off the day after Halloween.
