No, no agravation here. Although I am sure thats what it seems like. I just hate reading thread after thread of SP sucks, SP is a dick, etc etc. I am not sure I like the guy either, but the same thing over and over gets us nowhere!!! But I am sure it won't stop any time soon. Anyway, this guy does seems like a jerk off or at least an idiot. He deserves what's coming to him.
  2. I would really hate to see Bo go, but I think he will if he doesn't get the job.
  3. It is easy to say that Pederson has looked past Pelini already, but only Pederson knows that for sure. I think he is searching for the best candidates possible before making a decision. Knee jerk decisions of this magnitude are never good. I would say that I would be doing the same thing if I was him. It would be foolish not to weigh all your possibilties. The fact that Bo is still a candidate still puts him in the running. I agree with Eric, I hope this "big splash" crap isn't in Pederson's head either. I think he has the best of the program in mind regardless of "splash".

    Coach Pelini

So much hate for the man who has the future of Husker football in his hands... It must suck to be the man that has to make the decisions. I don't see his ego being enlarged. The guy has to be straightforward and confident in his decisions. I would rather have an AD and coach that are confident in themselves rather than ones that were "Well, I guess this is the right guy" "I guess I could be a head coach". Pederson and Pelini display this confidence. Last I heard, he DID face Solich. They had a meeting by themselves when Pederson let him go. What do you want? A friggin' boxing match or something? Who says Pederson has beef with anyone? Just because he didn't shoot from the hip and hire the first guy for the job? BS. Gill is Nebraska football? Explain.
  5. From what I understand, Snyder hasn't made a decision yet. For all I know, it might just be another jealous woman.

    Ell Roberson

He could still play. Synder hasn't made a decision yet as the facts are still coming to light.

Could you maybe provide a link or some background? I have no idea who or what you are talking about.
  8. WyomingHusker, I have to ask, what is the difference between "buying" a coach and "hiring" a coach? I'll tell you what it is. It's the difference between having a cynical view on the situation and a level headed view on the situation. Of course money is going to be a part of it! For Christ's sake, you have to PAY the guy!!! Anyway, I haven't heard much about this guy. His name is pretty sweet jk. Sounds like he has done good things at Arkansas, but Arkansas is quite different than NU. I agree with Blackshirt on what NU has to offer, which is quite a bit when you look at Arkansas. At this point I would really like to see Bo get the job. I don't know if Gill has what it takes to do it. Where Bo has proven that he does.
  9. He hasn't been scared off. Saunders made the decision that he wants to stay in the NFL. With Vermeil possibly retiring in a couple years, Saunders might want to go for that job. Some people don't like Nebraska. Ferenz doesn't seem to be any different. I say FUGG 'EM!!! Someone who dismisses an opportunity like that with such haste isn't worth anyones time anyway. Leave him at Iowa. I agree, anyone but Spurrier.
  10. Give Ross some time. He shows a lot of promise and a lot of effort, which Horne seems to lack. I am looking forward to an improved Ross next year. As far as Horne's talent, it is useless without effort. I would agree that he has shown bright spots in the past, then just fell off like I said in my previous post. He seemed to stop running with any heart. I don't think it's a matter of NU has given up on him, just that Ross has shown that he is the man for now. He get's the job done the best out of the backs. They won't let him beef up anymore. They had him LOSE weight this year because he was kinda chubby when he came in. He has been on a pork chop diet, thus the name "pork chop". I trust that the trainers and the coaches will mold him as they see fit. Barry Sanders was short and that didn't stop him. Smaller stockier guys are harder to tackle. He doesn't have the break away speed, but he should have no problem cracking off 10+ yard runs regularly.
  11. I wish I was the a former coaches son. Then maybe I could get my own article. So the guy screwed up at his first game at head coach, but at least he won the BOWL game. Which, if you remember, wasn't a sure think in the early 90's under Osbourne. Some people aren't used to a coach that shows that much emotion says more than "We played pretty good." in the after game press conference. Although he seems to have a problem with the "and ummm's" while talking to the press. Lincoln golf scene? hahaha. Rumors, rumors, rumors. I refuse to believe anything about the coaching decision unless it is from the horses mouth. I have confidence that Steve only wants the best for the program. Afterall, that's his job.
  12. I'll believe it when I see it. Everything else is simply speculation.
  13. Ritchie needs to calm down or he isn't going anywhere.
  14. I really think that Bo would make a good head coach. He has some things to learn, like don't mouth off to the refs, but he has proven that he has what it takes. He has a lot of confidence and the results here and in the NFL to back it up.
  15. It is going to be very tough to swallow for MANY if he comes to Lincoln. I think he is going to take at least a year off before trying to get back into coaching. The thing is, he could probably coach wherever he wants. I just don't see him mixing here.
  16. I am going to start calling this board the "Go out and find articles and stuff other people wrote and post it". I would just post a link, then comment on the article myself. Start at least some kind of discussion instead of just posting everything you find. Just an observation Anyway, it would have been nice to get this kid but I don't see it as being detrimental. As every other year, some players will decide elsewhere for various reasons. They have another reason this year. We have a month left to get some more commitments, I think we have a little under half of the class left and I think the class will be decent.
  17. 1. He may be fast, but he can't make a decision on the fly to save his life. 2. He can't hit holes in the blocking HARD, like Ross does 3. He can't hit holes FAST. He waits to long to cut up field. 4. Seems to love to run into a pack of blockers and defenders, then just fall down. His vision of the field seems to be lacking. I would agree that he had promise, I just don't know what happened to him. All of a sudden he just stopped running with heart. Ross has shown that he can and does run hard and quick. I hope he gets better in the off season and keeps running like he is now.
  18. *kicks horse* Yup, it's dead.
  19. Thats actually laughable. Some people need a hobby.
  20. I'll tell you this. Over the last 5 years, I get more and more nervous about the K-State game. wrong thread???
  21. Crouch had enough natural talent and smarts to do well on the field. This goes for most quarterbacks before him also. Lord had physicaly ability, he had time to learn the offense well. A good coach should be able to do something with that at least. Granted, he did play better this year than last year, but not that better.
