I typed this response to HuskerShark's topic entitled "For the guys who only post on this board when things aren't going well..." but it was locked, so I started my own. Enjoy. It's "fans" like you guys that will be/are the downfall of Husker football. You continue to have your head buried in the sand. I will continue to watch the games and support the team by giving them my money for season tickets, but I will NOT act like it is OK how we are playing and hope that Bo will turn things around. There are more ways to support a program than to just hope and pray that we will eventually turn things around and start playing better. Hope without a plan is just a frickin PIPE DREAM. Bo has no idea how to turn this thing around, or he would have done it already. Bo has had 5 years to show improvement but we keep seeing the same exact mistakes week in and week out. We've got to weather the storm? This is a hurricane, not a little rain shower. If you think the Huskers will be just fine after this game, you are out of your mind. The Huskers under Bo Pelini will only be OK when they have the chance to play against inferior teams that have no business being on the field with Nebraska (ie FCS teams). Anytime we play a solid team, on National TV, we get our a$$es handed to us. Enjoy being the sunshine pumpers you all are. You have no grasp of reality.

Im glad that I amuse you. I read this board on a regular basis. It's a lot easier to have discussions with people when they play poorly. My opinions of Bo and the direction of this program don't change from week to week. Im not going to come in here and bash Bo when we are beating lowly Idaho State 70-3....thats just pointless. When we play poorly on national tv, in primetime, game after game....and continue to make the same mistakes over and over....that's when I come to the board. I guess I think I can knock some sense into people around here. That's what this forum is for. You don't amuse me, you annoy me, there is a difference, please don't confuse the two. You also find it easier to get people to agree with your point-of-view after a close game or loss because you're working with raw emotions and knee jerk reactions. That way you can have your, "Ha, see I told you people!" moment. I know your opinions don't change from week-to-week, you make that obvious so there is no hiding that. Why won't you bash Bo when we are beating "lowly" Idaho State so badly? Can't you make your points about Bo whether we are winning or losing? Or do you need those "raw emotions" to try and prove your point? I could definitely make my points, regardless of who we are beating. I just chose not to. It's not worth my time or energy to argue every single week with people. People should know that the teams we are beating easily are inferior opponents. The first time Bo wins a game against a team they aren't supposed to beat, I will be the first person here to congratulate him. If I annoy you so much....feel free to NOT click on the topics I create. No sweat off my back. Did you start a post after Clemson in the bowl game? How about Oklahoma 2009? Missouri 2010? How 'bout Michigan State last year? Hell, Oklahoma State a couple of years ago? IMO, none of those games were games where we shocked people that we won. The only game that I was somewhat impressed by, was the OU win. Also, Im very reluctant to give Bo any kind of credit for games when Suh was playing, LOL. If Bo starts winning those kind of games with "his" players, come talk to me.

It doesn't matter if or when we stop beating ourselves because tonight we beat a "name" B1G team.

They found a way to beat a Top 20 team, on the road...good for them. If we beat Ohio State next week, I will feel pretty good about that too. However, it won't change my feeling about the direction of this program under Bo Pelini. what will? Im not sure anything will at this point. Bo has done so many negative things that absolutely blow my mind, I just don't see how we can be successful under him. I would start to have more faith in him if he hired more established coordinators, showed a willingness to not be so stubborn to "HIS" way of defense. I have a long laundry list of things I don't like about him....don't really feel like typing out a novel here though. I don't feel like writing a novel either so I'll start with one question. What on your "coaching resume" qualifies you for making a laundry list of a, dare I say it, "proven" coach? Nothing except the fact that I have a pretty solid knowledge of Husker football and football in general from watching it and playing it for many, many years. That's why Im posting here with the other arm chair QB's on this message board. Nothin anybody says here matters. Its just fun to debate. I just don't get how some people can see things so very differently, unless some people on here just have zero football knowledge.

Are you kidding me? The defense absolutely sucked in the first half which allowed Wisconsin to establish some kind of running game that led to their lead at the half, along with our TO's. The defense started playing average in the second half which was more than good enough to shut down that PATHETIC Wisconsin offense. Have any of you watched Wisconsin play this year. They are horrible. You guys thought we made strides tonight? Guys stepped up? I bet you were saying the same things last week after our win over that FCS team. You guys really need to take off the rose colored shades. I've watched all the Wisonsin games, they are better than any team the Huskers played with the exception of UCLA. Listen to what you're saying dude. Outside of UCLA we have played Southern Miss (0-4), Arkansas State (2-3), and Idaho State (1-3, FCS).

Why is everyone so excited. We won, great. Wisconsin is a TERRIBLE football team. I can't believe we had to come back from down 17 to win this game. We should have won this game by 21pts. This win just masks the problems that are so obvious. The problems that never get fixed. The problems that will cement us as a 9-3 team, at best, under Bo Pelini. If we finish 9-3 this year, in THIS conference, Husker fans should be pi$$ed. I pray to God we don't make it to the Big 10 title game this year and get the pleasure of playing Purdue or some other crap team who we would smoke. That would buy Bo another 5-6 years and this nightmare we've been living in for the last 10 years will continue. I just hope we don't get embarrased next week. Rip me all you want, I'm not drinking the kool-aid.

We should be down 30-10 right now.....this team is pathetic. How can you be so lost on defense? I came to Martinez's defense early in the season but once again he shows his true colors in primetime. The kid just isn't that good. This team is so stupid it's a joke. Absolutely no intelligence anywhere on that field, including the coaches.

I'm sorry but you can't really start saying things like, take this year out bc of a player. You could also take 08 out bc it was installing a new system and taking over a terrible defense. The other thing is mentioned above, but also just in general stats don't always tell the whole story. Regardless, if you look at all the years, we are a lot closer to a 23pt per game ave than we are to 10pt per game ave. Even including Suh's freak defense, we are only at 20.5 pts per game. Hardly anything to write home about considering we hired a supposed "defensive genius." We will never hold teams to a 10pt per game ave but we should be able to be around 14-17. IMO, our defense has underwhelmed under Pelini, except for 1 year.

This year we have ave'd 23pts a game. That takes Pelini's yearly ave up to 20.5. If you take out 2009 because Suh was a once in a lifetime player and greatly changes the average, Pelini's yearly ave jumps to 23. Pretty middle of the road defense.

There was no read there by Martinez. He had his mind made up to keep that before the play even began. Stupid

I would have liked to see Brion last year, with last years Taylor. However, I do give Taylor major props for improving in the offseason....This is his team now.

Look Bill...you were fired because you were horrid as a head coach. Go away I think Bill is loving his situation these days.
