he has been committed for awhile, i researched on other boards and found posts from back in october november about the class and he was posted in there.. it will be interesting if we can get 2 of the 3 Reetz, harrison, and Alvarado.

In baseball I think every seed matters. Because if you're a two seed and the "Top 8 National Seed" gets knocked out you have a chance to host the Super Regionals as long as the other team is a two seed or lower. What would we consider a success this year in the postseason. After the Big Ten tourny of course. i would consider at least competing for the regional title as success. Giving a 1 seed a run for their money. Forcing a game 2 for the final, that is of course if we are not the 2-0 team going into the final....

Any word on DeLeon? Erstad said on Sports Nightly that he's on the roster and has no structural damage but is unlikely to pitch this week. damn... hope he gets 100% soon.... for his sake, and ours

yeah it is very pointless to predict regions... it will be interesting to see though... i really hope we can win the tourny and get a 2 seed... hopefully at home if it works out...

Plus, I believe if Illinois gets a decent run (read: beats DoNU in the B1G Tourney), they're in too. Possibly three teams from the B1G this year in the NCAA Tournament, four last year. Not bad considering the dismal recent history of college baseball in this conference. i didnt know the B1G had four teams in last year.... huh, wasnt paying much attention due to Neb not getting in

I think its cool that this conference gets to play its tourny in the MECCA of college baseball

thats a good question, it will come down to those smaller schools that may earn a 1 seed but cannot host based on facilities... it would be awesome to see, as i have a really bad taste in my mouth from the last time they hosted..... san fran dons.... manhattan jaspers..... yuk

I don't get this--if only two B1G teams make it, why would the NCAA potentially force them to play each other if they win their respective regional series? I'm thinking more along the lines of Rice, Houston, or Ft. Worth, if they're going to force Nebraska to play in (former) Big XII territory. I agree... it would be stupid... but with all these mock-ups of what it may look like, there are so many opinions, its more volatile then march madness... who knows other than the top 7 or 8 what will happen

That would be awesome. I do know that some schools have a set satellite radio for home games with the home team broadcast. Would be awesome to see a conference wide one with major sports! i say why not, they could air their radio shows. espn has simulcast with shows, they could do the same, if there are multiple football or basketball games, they could have sub-channels to play those on. I mean the idea is to get them out there, I would be trying to do whatever I could to be a leader in this dept. I obviously do not know all of the logistics of doing this, but it can not be near as difficult as launching a tv network

Met some kids who are best friends with Reetz. From what they said, it is very unlikely he doesn't come - he is very set on attending Nebraska and getting a college education. Take it for what it's worth, I suppose. My cousin is a Junior and plays with Reetz. He is on the fence yet... I dont know how he turns down first round money... i guess we will see. I think he is playing the fence game to see what kind of contract he may be able to get. It really probably comes down to how the early first round plays out and if teams are going to go after him. I have family that attend all of their games and there are many many scouts at every game. I think it will be hard to keep him here... who know but him though, right

The B1G and BTN want to be leaders, they should try to televise as many of the major sports as possible... ALSO, I would love for them to be the leader of the pack when it comes to Satellite radio and be the first conference with its own Station!

i would guess that even fans off the big ten will want to come to the home of the CWS. I believe that would be a pretty good draw. Indiana fans will probably travel, more than anything casual baseball fans who attend to CWS will more than like attend a game of 2. I could def see capacity if NU vs IU in championship game! that would be amazing to attend! I hope that college baseball fans, and husker fans, want the B1G tourny to be in Omaha more times than not. I think they will show up in droves to root on the huskers and show the B1G what B1G baseball can be in the future if everyone starts buying in!

lets hope for a B1G title and a 2 seed in a regional! maybe even host that regional if we are super lucky...
