  1. Paper in Illinois said he dropped his 40 time from 4.6 to 4.4 over the summer and tested at that speed at a college camp at Illinois State. He also added 20 pounds working out over the summer. Love that work ethic. Article said he used to be all about Basketball, but has turned into a football player.
  2. I honestly didn't know that was legal, but hey, it was a classic. At first, I thought they screwed up, and decided to hike the ball anyhow, but now, I know it was planned all along. Callahan's post game conference confirmed that. Perfectly legal. No different than the qb making an audible. Qb can't put his hands undercenter and then remove them, I believe. If he is under center he can pull away.
  3. They said during the coverage today that he was almost ready to play this week and has a pretty good shot at being ready next weekend. That would change the context of the game.
  4. I think he called all those to get the players into the game. It just didn't seem like we started as well as we could have. However, at least we finished a game. GBR!
  5. As much as I would like to play OU, I was looking forward to another shot at Texas.
  6. They deserve it too We will be watching a very good class of seniors play for the last time. Don't forget about Cadavy (?sp). I believe he is a senior and is blind in one eye.
  7. I have to say I don't see Slauson in the inside. We pull the guards quite a bit and I'm not sure he is mobile enough for that. However, I can't remember if he pulls from his tackle position. Anyway you cut it our O line should be very good next fall.
  8. There are now two Roarks on the team. I get them confused, but one was scheduled to be the starting center at OU after spring ball. However, he left the team after a semester. He enrolled early at OU, but has to sit out a year. I'm not sure if he can redshirt. I remember reading he had to sit without redshirting because he transfered to a school in the Big 12 but I may be mistaken.
  9. The way some of these guys predict football games it makes me wonder how they got the job. Big Red by 17. Go Big Red!
  10. Scored Two touchdowns against Texas A&M. Had some good runs also.
  11. I would like to see him play safety and give us a force in the defensive backfield. Someone that makes receivers think twice about coming across the middle.
  12. Colorado 02, KSU 05, Mizzou 06 All three games were rockin'
  13. If true good for him. He has made it known since he came here he wanted to be a head coach. I just think it's unfourtunate that it has to be in our conference. Interesting to see if he will be able to help stop the WCO. Good Luck Jay!
  14. I'm going to be at a continuing education class for the Big 12 championship game. I believe we are staying at a hotel around Mars, PA. Does anyone know a good sports bar in the area that will have the game on? If not I'll order pizza, get some beer, and enjoy in the hotel room. Thanks
  15. Everyone seems to think that he won't take the job, but every coach has to start somewhere. That beeing said, I think he still wants to accomplish some things at Nebraska before he moves on. I hope he doesn't go because that would hurt. It's nice to see some other teams wanting our coaches because it means they must have talent
  16. Hopefully he is just using one of his allowed visits so he can see the "Game of the Century" in person. Seems to be the reason. Good to see Fabian gave his approval even after Callahan's downfall with the Raiders. Wasn't Cally already gone when Fabian was drafted?
  17. Close early, but our system and better palyers take over. CU plays us tough more often that not.
  18. Since he's a juco can he sign a LOI early or does he have to wait with everyone else? I'm fairly certain that the JUCOs that committed by the early signing period did sign early and those that committed after that signed on the regular February signing day. He will sign here in the next couple of weeks. I believe around the 15th of December. Then he will enroll for the spring semester.
  19. Still didn't make an impact when he had the ball. He's good but we have a short yardage back that's not to shabby either. Anyon know what Glenn's conversion percentage is on 3rd and short. I don't think it's as good as Lane's, but probably pretty good.
  20. I have thought since we lost him that it was going to bite us in the butt. I didn't want to have to promise him playing time, but he is going to give us fits in the next couple of years. We need to get a young qb that can battle him in the future.
  21. And the Dr. Phil Award goes to huskerpt34 Could care less what someone living 1500 miles from me thinks about me. Just thought some people could use a little perspective on the situation. Everyone on the team makes bad plays.
  22. We needed to win a game like this. We needed to pull a victory from the jaws of defeat. This will help us in the future. We played a crappy second half and still won the ball game. I'm proud of the effort and refusing to lose, sounds familar. I like the victory, don't like the way we played, but there is a difference. We can, and will, learn from this. We needed this for the program, we just be a team we weren't supposed to beat, according to the "experts". When was the last time we did that? Michigan in the Alamo Bowl. But I agree with your point. NOt really a hostile environment. That's what I meant, but thanks for agreeing anyway
