With an average college FB QB this is a win. Defense played their guts out. Make 50% of the easy throws and Nebraska wins this game. And , no I'm not blaming the pick at the end. I'm looking at 4 quarters of missed open 1st reads. This defense and offense are hamstrung by poor Oline play and a QB who can't make the east throws when he has any modicum of pressure.

Nah, the games go the way the O-Line goes. I think our top 3 QBs are all pretty interchangeable. I doubt Fyfe has the wheels of Tommy, JMO QB doesnt need great wheels, imo, he needs to read a defense and hit the passes as needed. This is really the main point. We don't need a run threat at QB. We have a stable of talented backs to run the ball. We need to make teams pay when they sell out to take AA out of the game. Whether that's Fyfe or Stanton I have no idea. But I know its not Tommy Armstrong

Dude, he's had multiple open receivers tonite that he simply can't hit. Anyone can take away one player. MSU chose to take away AA. TA has to make some of those easy plays to make them at and he simply is not a talented enough passer to do that

So is our defense. I miss our overly aggressive defensive scheme under McBride. For one thing it was fun to watch, but secondly and more importantly our players never felt like they were playing passive. They were the aggressors. They were the ones dictating what the offense could or couldn't do. I'm not really seeing anything wrong with our play defensively, they've had a decent half besides 2 big plays by a decent MSU offense. Right now it's all on the offense. They need to figure something out. Also MSU is pretty darn good. No they aren't. They have tried everything I their power to give us this game with turnovers. The plays on offense have been there and our QB literally can't put a ball in a 5 foot window. MSU is exactly what I thought they were. We just have a ridiculously bad QB that can't even hit his first read. It's not even a matter of him working through progressions. The first guy has been open multiple times and he simply can't make the the throw. He is awful. I'm sure he's a great guy and all but seriously even a marginally competent QB has us at 17-10 right now.

Um misdirection, FB screen, trap, draw, reverse, TE drag etc..... He's doing nothing to negate the rush. He is outclassed and an idiot The open recievers have been there. Big gains have been there for the taking. The right plays have been called and our QB misses wide open guys by 5 yards. Beck has adjusted. Tommy Armstrong can't throw a footbal accurately
