I have responded to threads tonight saying we would lose to South Dakota State, Appalachian State, and that Ball State will beat us next weekend. I'm sure there are more I haven't seen yet.

No way. They have way too much talent. 5 top shelf RBs, a very good OL and a Heisman candidate QB, not to mention a D that returned 10 starters, most of which were all Pac-10, if not All-American.. We were pretty much doomed from the start.

We could all be Notre Dame fans. Put this into perspective. We played well for most of the 1st half. We showed we can hang with them. If either fumble on special teams comes to us, we most likely go into halftime ahead. Come on now, we're coming into Big 12 play as a very strong team, and the rest of the season should be excellent. Put this behind us and push on towards the fun part of the season.

Bingo. This was the #1 team we lost to, and they are #1 for a reason. We didnt lose to Utah or App. State for Christ's sakes. We'll probably be 3-1 going into conference play. If Keller can play the way he played tonight, he will shred our conference opponents. I saw alot of things I liked tonight, even though we lost. I did see a few things I didnt like as well, but its nothing that cant be worked on. We wont see players as good as we did today, thats for sure, unless we get to a BCS bowl.

Going 3-1 into conference play is not the end of the world. Hope we can keep this within 40 while I sleep. I stayed up all day today after working a midnight shift getting things ready for tonight and now I regret it. I'm going to bed. Good night to all of you. Well played, USC.
