  9. Thanks, AR. I do what I can. Now, can we discuss a possible salary? Also, if anyone has any suggestions on how I (or any others that do the games) can possibly make it better for those unable to see or hear the games... please share your thoughts. Talk? Yes. Actually pay? No. At least, that's been my experience. Rumor has it ETR has some kind of slush fund for hookers and beer, though... Hmmm I would have guessed that was more up DaveH's alley..
  10. Everyone is coming in even according to Bo...so Zac will get his chance. A lot of people have forgotten how Zac was a good team player when Callahan took his job away from him when Keller came in...I haven't. Keller was a good player, don't get me wrong - as immobile as he was, but if I would have been Zac I think I would have had a crappy attitude when BC brings in a transfer for one year, I don't think Zac or anyone else had a chance really of winning that starting job. BC was convinced that he, and only he, had all the answers - remember...we were too stupid to understand. Everyone is not even. Ganz is the starter right now. Lee has the shot to unseat him as does Witt, but they are not on even ground. It's the equivalent to BC saying that Keller and Ganz were on even ground last offseason. It was never a competition but more or less 'coach speak'. And what are you talking about? Keller taking the job away from Zac?
  11. First of all none of the students on this board answered my question as to whether or not the email was real and second... Half the reason i posted this is because I know what happens when you say the B word on this board and i have a very twisted sense of humor.

    Tix?

Stand out in front of the stadium with $60 in your pocket buy them from a scalper. The closer to kickoff you buy them the less money you spend. More than likely wont spend the full 60 if you dont care where you sit. I got into the Ball St. game for twenty cause it was my B-day and i showed the scalpers my I.D. so they cut me a north end zone deal. Other than that if you want to spend less than a C-note per ticket you better have some good friends
  13. I am really starting to think that there is a real problem with the leadership on the team, I haven't seen any in the last couple of years. When is the last time you saw one of the captains come out and say something or kick someone's butt verbally to get them to straighten up? Last year all I ever heard from the captains were excuses on why they couldn't. It is time for them to step up and take a roll on this team, be leaders. That begins at the coaching level and works its way down...I hope that Bo and staff is working to put an end to some of this off the field crap, otherwise you are right, we will be right where we were last year. I blame the lack of leadership on the coaches. Everytime somebody started to show leadership, ESPECIALLY ON DEFENSE, they were shut down. Remember when CAPTAIN Zack Bowman turned in his blackshirt and nobody followed, he spent the majority of the second half of the season on the bench. And when Octavien got in coxgroves face about the D being too soft he kinda just fell off the radar.
  14. The two players that were cited were second or third stringers

  16. game one of the double header is a 3-2 nebraska winner
  17. I know what happens when people say the B word on here but i saw this on another board and wanted to know if anybody has any info to verify it. And by the way I in NOOOO WAY support a b******* but here it goes..... Dear Cornhusker Students, First and foremost, thank you for supporting our football team. As we await the start of spring football, I hope this finds you well and looking forward to the April 19 Spring Game. As promised, we have been searching for a solution to the problems occurring in sections 12, 13, 14 and 15 in the South Stadium as well as overcrowding in the East Stadium. As you are well aware as a student season ticket holder in 2007, we have had increased conflict between our students, season ticket holders, security and event staff members. Concerns have escalated over the past few years and have caused unsafe situations for students and season ticket holders. With assistance from ASUN, who submitted two new seating options to the Athletic Department and to the Fan Behavior Group last fall, the Athletic Department has approved the implementation of Option 1 (general admission seating, preference for upperclassmen in the East and elimination of block seating) for the 2008 football season with one addition—student seating will extend to the top of the South Stadium, just as it currently does in the East Stadium. In return for your movement, UNL student ticket holders of the future will receive additional student tickets in the total allotment; preferences for juniors and seniors and potentially some sophomores in the preferred East Stadium; general admission seating in both the East and South Stadiums which will reward those who come early and more accurately reflect the current seating practices; and a guarantee of no increase in student ticket prices over the next four years (2008-2011). We hope you will support this solution. The Athletic Department will begin the process of relocating season ticket holders out of the upper sections of 12, 13 and 14. The student seating will now extend to the top of sections 12, 13 and 14 and will no longer be located in section 15. While I know there are concerns that students are losing lower seats in parts of section 14, I feel compelled to alert you that regardless of where the student section begins in Section 14, the lowest rows of this section will continue to be reserved for non-traditional students, student-athletes and Husker recruits on official visits. Therefore, the general student body is not losing these closest-to-the-field seats in those sections. While block seating that previously occurred during signup will no longer be in effect (per ASUN Option #1), those students who come together can sit together, much like the current practice. The Athletic Department will provide wristbands for those students with preferred seating in the East Stadium, to protect students from overcrowding. Those who prefer to sit with underclassmen may still do so in the South Stadium by indicating that preference upon signup. I can assure you that moving students up in the South Stadium will not produce a financial windfall for the Athletic Department. Fans who are moved to lower sections will not be required to pay more. Also, the higher one sits, the better the view of the entire playing field. I sit high in the North Stadium and see the game much better than those in the lower rows. In April, we will have season ticket signup by class status, with seniors allowed to sign up first and to pick their seating preference (April 7-9), followed by juniors (April 10-12), sophomores (April 13-15) and freshmen (April 16 and beyond). We are confident the preferential opportunity for upperclassmen to sit in the East Stadium (who with the previous lottery system may never have received that chance), the increase in the total allotment of student tickets, decreased conflict with security, event staff and season ticket holders and the guarantee of no price increase through 2011 will meet with your approval. We appreciate the leaders of ASUN, who over the past few years have provided their time and expertise in solving these difficult issues that have been prevalent for decades. We appreciate your continued support of the Cornhusker Football Program and Nebraska Athletics. When you pick up your tickets in the fall, you will be given a new Husker T-shirt, commemorating the beginning of a new era in Husker Football. And just so you know, we've been listening and there's a definite possibility that the T-shirt will not be red. We hope you'll enjoy wearing it to the first game. You are valuable members of our team. Tom Osborne
  18. First game of the doubleheader is being pitched by jon klausing for UNC. Sound familiar? He pitched seven shutout innings against Wichita State in 2006 for the huskers.
  19. Wow! I certainly hope you don't have daughters. That doesn't have anything to do with. Law is not based on emotions. What if the presiding judge has daughters ?? should that weight in on his decision. I am not trying to down play what happend at all. But I assumed that Rape laws like assault laws have different levels that differ in relation to the act. I just think that first degree sexual assualt is rather steep given he didn't poke her, forget football for a moment were talking about a 21 yo drunk who did something really really stupid, that I don't think he should have to carry around with him for the rest of his life. He felt a girl up, was it wrong, yes but I don't think he should get the same punishment that somebody else would get for un-consented sex. Actually MCAT800 is right. . . Should have been charged with second degree. 1st Degree Sexual Assault -- sexual penetration of any orifice of the victim's body by a body part or object, achieved through force, threat of force or coercion. 2nd Degree Sexual Assault -- physical contact of a sexual nature without consent, with a victim's genitals or buttocks or a woman's breasts. 3rd Degree Sexual Assault -- sexual activity between one party who is 18 years of age or older and one who is under 16 years of age.
