  1. It would seem to me that the penalty was indeed a personal foul and the ref misstated the penalty, or the enforcement was wrong and the refs will be hearing from either the B10 and/or NCAA about it.
  2. You may be right, I think at this point only the players and coaches know for sure. But I disagree with your argument. The players had a "players-only" meeting two weeks ago, I think it is entirely possible they pulled together on their own to pull this one off. I do not believe that it's impossible that they did this without the coaches being responsible for it. That being said.. I'm still scratching my head over this team. There are serious issues, and they stem from somewhere... if it's not from the coaches, where is it coming from?
  3. 4 games against quality competition this year: UCLA, Wisconsin, Ohio St, Northwestern. We lost two of them and had to make epic comebacks to win the other two. I've learned that even after the bye week, the coaches have still not found a way to clean up the mistakes, penalties and mental errors that are rampant with this team and holding them back from becoming a great team.
  4. Great point! We won by 1 point.. that safety gets called, we may not win the game.
  5. Let me ask you all this. Do you think Bo's demeanor is HELPING in any way? Am I the only one that sees a correlation between Bo's behavior towards players and the absurd amount of mistakes we make? Do you guys honestly believe that him chewing out players after they come off the field is HELPING with this?
  6. I somehow doubt the exchange went along the lines of: Bo: "You shouldn't have made that mistake!" Bell: "F*!K YOU HOLD ME BACK!!" That reaction looked to me like Bo said something that crossed a line. Regardless of what was said, it looked really bad on TV. Couple that with Pelini angrily pulling coaches off the sideline shortly before that, and it looked even worse.
  7. "He kept his composure better than his head coach." - Bo Pelini in reference to Taylor Martinez. Gee, you think that might be part of the problem Bo?
  8. You can hear the relief in Pelini's voice in this press conference. Dude better be kissing Taylor's ass after this game.
  9. You don't think this stuff happens all over the country. Remember when Saban was spanking his QB on the sidelines a few years ago? Nobody cares because he wins titles.... A classless coach in the SEC? We have better standards than that here, I'd hope.
  10. +1 He does look like a fool yelling at everyone instead of coaching Good leaders praise in public and criticize in private. What?? Not in the coaching industry. If you waited till you were in private to criticize a players "play" then how would you make in game adjustments.... Oh, I dunno.. make adjustments to play calling and scheme? Calmly explain players mistakes instead of getting in their face and yelling?
  11. Pelini got caught twice on the sideline in VERY bad situations. First was after the sideline infraction, he PHYSICALLY pulled coaches off the sideline. Second was the argument with Antonio Bell... it is pretty damn telling when you've got players yelling at you on the sidelines. Not to mention the numerous times he was caught chewing out players. This teams issues with consistency?? Pretty hard to be consistent and not make mistakes when you get humiliated by your head coach after making one. Players leaving in the off season, and DURING the season? Players-only meetings? There is definitely a rift between Bo and the players. Kinda mind-blowing when his biggest credential coming in was how "his players run through brick walls for him".
  12. Martinez bails us out. Pelini still needs to go, I'm sick of him making us look bad on TV. And he has clearly lost control of this team as evidenced by the Antonio Bell incident and the players-only meeting a couple of weeks ago.
  13. I think a lot of you think we're about to win this game. Don't get your hopes up.
  14. We're going to be 4-4 after next week. Everyone, let that sink in.. then tell me Bo should keep his job.
  15. Bo needs to be fired after THIS game. Don't do him the honor of finishing off the season.
  16. Bo's the first guy on the field for that sideline infraction and then he goes and PHYSICALLY pulls assistants off the sideline. Anyone near that guy has to be watching their back.
  17. Well crap that looked exactly like the last one SJB got burned on but was underthrown... on target this time.
