  1. At what position? There's no Spain in the Plains....... And, FWIW, I'll vote for Shawn Sullivan (as Anthony Blue has already shown his mettle).
  2. Fact is the Clones improved during the course of the season, so from that perspective, ISU is an improved ball club. Whether they're still poor isn't the point... And KSU is ever an 'enigma', which means "puzzling or baffling". No one knows which way they're heading, at one point the Wildcats are stomping Texas and hanging tight with KU, and at another point in the season they're getting killed by a reeling Nebraska team who had lost 5 straight. It's going to be tough to figure out the middle of the Big 12 North......
  3. I can see you saying Kansas, Missouri but that Colorado game was very winnable. Remind you that Nebraska team was the worse team I've ever seen in my 39 years and still only lost by 14. That team was even leading by 11 coming out in halftime. While Nebraska defense should be getting better just by having better coaching and Colorado's should probably be similiar or a little better with the same coaching staff. There's no way Nebraska will will all there games, but I expect that they will go to a bowl game next year. Well, I'm not okay with the Huskers having to score "scrub points" versus the Buffs, i.e. the last 16 in garbage time. NU was down 58-35 after surrendering a bundle of points early in the 2nd half. Some of those early 2nd half turnovers might be due to Cally's poor coaching, but the bottom line is that CU out-performed NU that day. And, may I remind you that my prior post mentioned that those 3 teams "appear to be better" than the Cornhuskers. I didn't even make mention of an improved ISU or the ever-enigmatic KSU.......
  4. Thanks bennychico11. Nice to hear some good things about JR. IMHO, Johnny attempts to do the right thing, even if he's not always successful. He at least tries to be a good guy. JR just opened Jets All Sports Bar & Grill at 32nd & Harney in mid-town Omaha. As I recall, quite a few years back JR opened a "Jet's Big Red Lemonade" business at football games in Memorial Stadium, but that must not have worked too well because it didn't last long. On a more personal note, I've known a relative of JR's through an association at college, and that unique perspective on JR differs from some of his "public persona". Some positive and some negative..... just like most of us.
  5. If anyone is willing & able to do it, please let me know....
  6. It would be an enormous feat (i.e. difficult to do) because Missouri, Kansas, and Colorado all appear to be better than the Huskers..... keep in mind that Nebraska also has to play at OU and at TT.
  7. I believe Phillip Yancy had a shoulder injury that basically forced a medical redshirt on him....... it will be interesting to see how he fits into the mix at DE. Speed off the edge will be valued more this coming season, IMHO.
  8. Looks pretty good, DJR. Blue is a very good corner; it would be great to see what Amukamara can do at safety. Also look for Baker Steinkuhler to slide into the DL rotation along side his bro. It would not be a surprise for the 2-deep DE's to undergo a shake-up as well....
  9. All one knows is that Bo Pelini did win a bowl game over MSU......... can't wait to see how this season plays out.
  10. Just winning the Big 12 would be considered an enormous feat.....
  11. Uh huh, that practice/scrimmage will be highly anticipated as well.......
  12. 1. Virginia Tech (Sept. 27) - First test (at home) against a top caliber team 2. Oklahoma (Nov. 1) - If it's at home, this game would be #1 3. Missouri (Oct. 4) - Daniel & Maclin will be a tough combination to defend 4. Kansas (Nov. 8) - Mangino and Reesing are a pair of tough competitors, and KU has handled NU lately 5. Western Michigan (Aug. 30) - First game of the season is always ripe with anticipation..... may have been higher if it had been an 'Iowa' or 'UCLA' 6. Colorado (Nov. 28) - Don't really need a reason to look forward to this one 7. Texas Tech (Oct. 11) - NU has lost two in a row to the Red Raiders.... the Huskers only two losses to TT ever
  13. Not a problem. I can wait some more; honestly, I am patient most of the time. As the saying goes: Good things come to those who wait........
  14. One more time, is any one willing & able to help me out?
  15. Swifty & Meno..... and perhaps a couple guys like Niles & big Will.
  16. That was great. Let's get this season underway already.
  17. Is anyone willing to do this? Thanks in advance.
  18. Hopefully Will Compton does at least keep his word to visit Nebraska......... If Will is not fully committed to the Huskers, then it's probably in everyone's best interest if he goes elsewhere. And, if he happens to de-commit, it's not because of the opportunity he could have at Nebraska. Likely it'll be because his heart is no longer with the Huskers. Nebraska will be fine, either way. Although it would be great to have a guy like Compton among next year's LB corps.
  19. Eddie's Heisman should have gone to Tommie Frazier......
  20. That's some good stuff, right there. (thumbsup)
  21. The one in your link is the CBS Broadcast and the other one is the radio broadcast FWIW, the video that has the radio feed added-on seems to be a bit choppy at times..... I have the CBS version and it is really great. It look and sounds like it's live. Now, if only it were in Hi Def...
