  1. The one in your link is the CBS Broadcast and the other one is the radio broadcast FWIW, the video that has the radio feed added-on seems to be a bit choppy at times.....
  2. pretty good post Hanc, i agree with most of your thoughts. I didn't say that I thought it was necessarily a bad idea to keep Watson & Gilmore..... it could be an outstanding link: the continuance of the recruiting & mentoring of the high-quality young men both have brought to the Big Red. What's interesting is that Pelini, in the past, has spoken very favorably of a power running team AND then he's also mentioned having a spread offense, a "much better" spread attack than Florida's. Seems like there could be a big difference between those two statements. Now, out of T.O.'s recommendation, Pelini just hired two hold-overs -- two of the newest offensive coaches on B.C.'s staff -- who have worked in the WCO for the past few seasons. It needs to also be noted that Watson and Gilmore have quite a bit of experience in multiple offenses, it's not just WCO or Spread. It's just a little bit interesting to make note of these things.....
  3. That's the 1996 Fiesta Bowl DVD version I have..... Not to mention, that is the best game I've ever attended! I believe this DVD is a re-broadcast of the CBS feed. BTW, the main difference is that the other DVD has Kent Pavelka's radio broadcast (instead of using the announcers from the TV broadcast on CBS).
  4. That is a great point. The former head coach of the Huskers despised T.O. so much, he wouldn't refer to T.O. by either first or last name in press conferences (it was "higher-up" or "supervisor"). Pelini will actually listen to ideas provided by T.O., unlike the head coaching predecessor (who will remain name-less).
  5. I think T.O. strongly "suggested" that Shawn Watson and Ted Gilmore be kept on staff as Offensive Coordinator and Recruiting Coordinator, respectively.....
  6. Those CHEFS sure had an offensive offense.... Honestly, I don't think even Cally would cause any more harm than they've already endured this season. He might help ol' Herm keep his job. Perhaps a healthy L.J. would help restore them to CHIEFS once again.
  7. I'm no expert, but my understanding is that ANY foot surgery is tricky at best - too many small bones and fragile structures. So, it could be that while the condition can be fixed by surgery, the term "fixed" may not include having the full capabilities that an elite athlete has to have. Yep... if there were a quick fix, I'm sure Cody would have already got it done. Since there isn't, he's hoping that it heals enough naturally to allow him to compete at a high level again.
  8. IMHO, it's kind of cheesy because Callahan started this 'tradition' only after victories......... If you're going to do it, then do it every time. It comes down to having pride in your university and state, no matter the outcome. I and counter this with...What kid is going to want to sing a song after he just left his heart and soul on the field and still came up with a loss! You know what they say about morale victories......It's still a check in the Loss column! This has absolutely nothing to do with moral victories or moral losses (i.e. Ball St). These players need to show some pride for this state & university, even after facing adversity..... did the Callahan era teach us nothing???
  9. IMHO, Marlon Lucky looks more like a 3rd or 4th round selection......
  10. Any takers? Just curious to find out if anyone would be willing to help me....
  11. Match made in heaven. Baby Bruins, baby Ricky.

  13. Well, after looking at Helu's recruiting page, there isn't any evidence of him being looked at as a linebacker. He played mainly the offensive side of the ball, and was rarely seen on the defensive side (if at all) and I would guess that coaches were recruiting him as a running back as that's what he was projected at and played at. My guess would be that if he was told he was going to be a linebacker, he would probably transfer. http://nebraska.rivals.com/viewprospect.as...mp;pr_key=49784 Also, Okafor isn't a lock at all, he's a soft verbal right now and has publicly been shopping around at other schools. So who knows what's going to happen with him. You can never have enough running backs. So yeah, you might be a little crazy. That may be..... Helu did play safety in H.S., so he could slide over to D.......... that's all I was saying initially, it "could" be a possibility for Bo to consider (keeping that loaded runningback-field in mind).
  14. Hmmm...I hope Fiala is left in place, I really like his commentary, he's a former Husker and an all-around great guy. I like Fiala too and hope he stays. Honestly, I'm not even sure who he was referring to...... he said he'd let me know more after it's been made "official".
  15. OTOH, Brandon Jackson got paid pretty well for being a pro RB with the Packers...... Hard to argue with Marlon Lucky if he thinks he's ready to make the leap. Although, I sure hope he decides to stay at NU for one last hurrah.
  16. Helu to LB? Are you crazy? First of all, Helu is waaaay to undersized, he would just bounce off the players he tries to tackle, secondly, he's a very good runner with shifty moves and will be a great back for us in the future. Asante to LB however is a great idea and one that I hope happens. If Lucky's back, Nebraska is absolutely loaded with depth at RB..... Castille, Glenn, Wilson, Mendoza, Okafor, et al. And, Roy Helu came to NU as either a linebacker or running back, as I recall. So, no, I'm not crazy.
  17. Might be worth sliding Larry Asante and Roy Helu to LB..... likely slot is at Will linebacker.
  18. I suspect that Mack Brown regretted that he convinced his son-in-law to join Texas during the Holiday Bowl game. Hehe......
  19. I've heard from someone in the radio industry that there's changes besides Rosey.......
  20. I suspect that Daddy and daughter suggested to Zac that coaching for aTm is in his best interest.....
  21. The "No Place Like Nebraska" Cally implemented was only sung after a victory, which is kind of cheesy... and Cally didn't even bother to stick around for it after his final win. I say get rid of it unless Nebraska does it after every game (win, lose or draw). The best tradition is winning a lot, and doing it with class.
  22. Byrne hired Yori. And Pederson only landed Sadler after Collier decided to be an A.D. (FWIW, I do like both Yori & Sadler.)
  23. The 'BO' in the center is a nice touch!
