  1. Like who? I think that most popular fan polls show that about 75% of NU fans want this move. But in reality, that does not matter. To state the obvious, the CIC is a much bigger factor in this than sports. Period. If you choose to ignore it, then you can keep your head in the sand. That being said, from what I have heard, it seems less promising now that we will jump to the Big 10 then it did a few weeks ago. We can only hope. I clicked the wrong thread and posted this. supposed to be here.. anyway... The things going in at Dear old NU should make some realize this Big 10 thing is no fluke. The new sports arena has been voted in. The new research facilities at the old fairgrounds. Now the stadium expansion.. Already??? Coincidence? I dont think so. This is all steps to the Big 10... Making comparable athletic and academic facilities.. I say it has been in the works longer than we've known....
  2. Because in that scenario we'd assume that Texas is willing to share everything equally like the rest of the members do. No imbalance of power would exist in the Big Ten. since when are we for equal distribution of tv money? we never have been for that at NU, we and Texas take the lion's share and if we didn't like it that way we'd be charitable I'm sure. NU was 5th in the last released info on revenue sharing - though it was 2007 . This does not include gate, concessions, merchandise and pay-per-view. SO if we would do equal revenue sharing in the Big 12 we would have lost about 600k. Texas would have lost 1.7 mill as where Baylor would have made 1.6 more. They would have averaged 8.5 million. Cant remember what the Big 10 gets but its alot more then 8.5 million. See quote below for your answer. The things going in at Dear old NU should make some realize this Big 10 thing is no fluke. 3. I'm stoked for this move to happen. I guess i'm just pineing for actual rivalries (not fakies, aka colorado) being formed in a new conference. I think it's a no brainer.
  4. How many members are on here and from how many parts of the country?/ So maybe the original poster didnt't see it? Get over yourself..... It was a play on how so many people get their panties in a twist when a thread isn't where "it's supposed to be." Thanks for being you and missing the obvious once again. We knew we could count on you to come through. Forgive me oh almighty one.... No need to ask for forgiveness. Just be able to realize what's what before you wrongly pop off again. Question of the day. What do you get when you mix water, vinegar, and put it in a plastic bottle with a long neck?

  8. Jeff Sims- Head Coach at Fort Scott Community College in Kansas. Take a look. http://www.fortscott.edu/athletics/football/bio/JeffSims.asp
  9. I don't know, I still say Simms comes in as the coordinator.. He runs a good offense at that juco, just look at the numbers. I say with the step up in athletes, it could be outstanding.
  10. If the OC is replaced, it's more likely that someone would be promoted from within, rather than hiring from the outside. Like who? Cotton? God forbid! Be careful what you wish for...
  11. And your point is? Whoops, I was replying to post #4, Just forgot to add the quote. I was like...so your saying we might lose Barney or Gilmore...ok! Oh dont get me wrong, that wouldnt bother me in the slightest way!

  13. I think some of you are missing one point on this watson thing. If he is gone, whoever comes in to replace him is gonna be a BIG decider of who else stays on the offensive staff. He is gonna want to bring in people who he thinks can teach his system best....
  14. Repetition, repetition, repetition, And then MORE repetition, They do not have anything harmonious about them...
  15. The football looks small in his hand in the picture!!
  16. I couldn't agree more, because if he goes now who is going to call the plays? Bo? Or Cotton??
  17. I wonder how loud 86,000 of them little air horns going off at the same time would be? Hmmmmm
  18. Blount suspended for rest of season. Including bowl games. It's on yahoo front page.
  19. I also think the government would be startled at the number of military men and women that would choose the side of the law abiding gun owner.
  20. If you look closely, he is averaging about 2 1/2 yards per step at full stride. Five yards in 2 - 2 1/2 steps is moving..
  21. Did anybody record the game? Take a look at what down it was when the intentional grounding was called. If I am not mistaken, that call warrants a loss of down? Pretty sure it was second down when it was called. So should have been third down. From what I saw Kansas got an extra down. Not sure though.
  22. A hillbilly is having sex with his sister. She says, "You do this just like daddy." He says, "I know, Mom told me.."
