The Associated Press reports former NFL RB Lawrence Phillips was arrested Sunday, Aug. 21, after allegedly running his car into three teenagers who argued with him during a pickup football game, police said. Phillips was already wanted by police for a domestic violence investigation. As previously reported, police had been seeking Phillips since earlier this month for allegedly attacking his girlfriend twice, once choking her into unconsciousness, they said. Phillips joined a group of 16- and 17-year-olds in a pickup football game today. Phillips got into an argument with several of the teens, said Los Angeles Police Officer Sandra Escalante. He left the park, but returned and drove a black Honda onto the field, allegedly running into three teenage boys, she said. The teenagers were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said. he's being held on a domestic violence warrant, but charges are pending for the trying to run over the kids. i don't know if the charge of 'aggravated assault with a Civic while being a complete asshat' exists in the city of Los Angeles, but it would seem that would be the most appropriate. i had read a couple of months ago LP was trying to get his life back together. looks like he fell of the wagon... i'd clone my dog. but i'd also ask for some improvments. you know... make him faster... stronger... better. i'd also ask him be bigger... 60ft tall, in fact. and have laser beams and death rays grafted to his skull, too. he would be a playful harbinger of death. i would then name him 'scruffy, destroyer of worlds' and turn him loose against canada. not that i hate canada or anything, but i just think they could do with a spot of excitment now and again. i'd point at a map and say, "scruffy, fetch calgary!" and he'd go off and haul back a Tim Horton's doughnuts or something. i mean, if we're talking hypothecials here.

i'm a big fan of Firefox, too. converted both my mom and dad overt to fox laster year and they both love it. imported adblock scripts into the browser and nary a pop-up has been seen since. i bank at FNBO and it digs Firefox fine. for years, i swore by IE. i looked at alternatives and to be honest, nothing really tripped my trigger. then while i was in LA last year, the guy i was visiting (he works in HOLLYWOOD, donchayaknow!) turned me onto it. i'll be dipped if i've ever looked back since. i just know Firefox works for me. going back to IE feels kinda clunky, but at work i really don't have a choice as a lot of enterprise networks don't want to take a chance on a open-ware project like Firefox. whatever works, i guess.
