  1. The new db coach is Phil Elmassian. He previously coached at Purdue.
  2. Good, I think that is one of Coach Cal's early bright spots. So far every recruit has said that he was well prepared and could really sell the program. They also like his honesty and the fact that he's up front when he visits.
  3. Solich was also offered the job at Army. (Not much but he did get an offer from somewhere besides Cincy)
  4. Good point HB. By "compete" I mean give OU and KState a good game or beat them. I don't mean we win it, but we are at least in the running for the north up until the end of the season. Your right about getting blown out by KState, that is unacceptable. Your also right about people looking for reasons to run Steve out of town. Some will want him gone only b/c of the way the Solich situation was handled, even if we play good next year under Coach Cal.
  5. Pelini was committed to the Nebraska program. Coach Cal was the one who decided to release him. As far as Pelini goin to OU, he did what any coach would do. Go to the place you feel you have the best chance at being the best. I think Gill can coach a qb to throw, it's just that he's never had a natural passer. If he decides to go to Miami, I wish the best to him even though I would be sad to see him go.
  6. Gotta agree w/ redout. He'll be here as long as BC competes in the big 12, doesn't have to win it the first couple of years.
  7. He's not even ranked by rivals100.com. They have him as a 2 star even though he passed for 3300 yards and 40 td's. But as calhusker said, something could happen to whoever our qb might be. So we'll just have to wait and see what happens.
  8. First of all RMS the reason he called them the dumbest team in America (ain't it great) was because they lost games b/c of penalties. Secondly, it's hard to control a team w/ players who make more money than you do. Would you listen to your boss if you were paid twice his salary? I didn't think so.
