  1. Somebody really enjoyed the literary work of John Kennedy Toole... confedracy of dunces right?
  2. Helen Keller is scary against our rush defense. I laughed aloud! I don't get it. Is that Sam's mother or something? can we pick both? and remember kiddies(actual sign being refered here) helen keller could only see possibilities(used to be up on 27th and fletcher in lincoln across from a taco inn) ... that was either one of greatest post or the worst post ever. i have no idea which.
  3. maybe have wyatt as a hold over as well? he was wanting more intese physcial practices so maybe he and bo would get along.
  4. The only ones that I can think of that would fit that would be Venables and Shawn Watson or maybe Missouri's offensive coordinator(his name is starting to get out there). we get the oc from missouri and i will hang myself from the 9th street overpass...nothing from missouri touches these huskers except the tigers asses as we kick em.
  5. Are you serious?? that would be freaking sweet. I think it would look so awesome, in some youtube video it shows Benard Thomas after a sack and the creator of the video made his jersey turn from red to black and it looked awesome. I think this would kinda give our team a defensive mind set also with the blackshirts tradition. Wow. OK. Yes I am serious. I don't know what people's fascination is with black but. NEBRASKA WILL ALWAYS BE SCARLET AND CREAM. PERIOD. END OF STORY. DONE. I'm really glad you thought it looked pretty cool in a YouTube video but I think it would look putrid. You think people complain about broken tradition now? Holy sh#t! no not always orginally we were black and gold.
  6. Calling this person a "big time Las Vegas donor" was how my source charactorized him. I know my source would not have passed this on if she had not believed it to be true. She knew that two other coaches were talked to (interviewed?), but she could not remember who he said they were (Not Turner Gill, as she would have remembered him). Someone from a Florida school (Southern Florida?) she thinks. Hope springs eternal, I know, even without proof. Probably South Florida's Jim Leavitt. I like Pelini better. Is Jackie Gaughan (sp) still alive? I know he was from Nebraska and owned casinos. Scott as per wikipedia yes he is, borin in 1920
  7. I guess a better way of asking would be something like having a clause in your next contract that "You could leave at any time to take the NU job" without exacting a buyout. doesn't glenn have that in his contract?
  8. Yeah being glad that a kid got hurt. What a MORONIC thing to say. :asshat
  9. For the same reason TG is at Buffalo. It was his opportunity to "get his foot in the door". now follow that up with, "what was Navy like before Johnson and what is it like now?" the answer is for some 30 years Navy was b*tched-up by everyone. not as bad a Temple, but they seldom hit the .500 marker many years. while johnson has been at Navy, they've had four winning season out of five. and right now they're shaping up to have winning season this year too. when you keep that in mind and take into consideration that he's also won two D-II titles, i'd easily give the huskers over to johnson *way* before i'd trust them to pelini. at least johnson has a record as a head coach. hell if gill can get buffalo to a 5 win season that speaks volumes(hello 7 wins in 2 years at a school that won 10 games the previous...6 years?) just in case you missed that the first time around. johnson has earned his spurs as an HC. turner is just starting out. oh i don't disagree, i think Johnson would be great as a head coach here. i just don't understand all the bogasms we have, i'm starting to feel dirty coming here.
  10. your right, winning 6 games at buffalo in less then 2 years is nothing to be proud of , yup. i'd rather have gill then pelini.
  11. so...Pelini is more prepared to be a head coach? hm..i disagree i would think the fact that Turner is a head coach shows that he was more prepared for that mantle. and what the hell are you smoking, Buffaloe[sic] isnt[sic] really hunting for the mac championship? they are one loss out of the lead for their division, yeah, not in the running. Bowling Green is 4 - 1 in the division(you only count your division record to get to the mac championship game) while Buffalo is 4 - 2 in the same division, that seems to be in the running to me(Bowling Green is the leader of the division)

  13. more foreign callahans...but they lost 2 of their big things..i mean...the making of fun jim rose...and pedeyshine!
  14. BUFFALO...get that in your head...HE HAS BUFFALO COMPETING FOR A BOWL GAME. if that doesn't work...try hiri-kiri it's the only way to redeem yourself.
  15. the one thing i notcied for the pitt vs navy game, was that they lit pitt up on tight end passes. they always creeped up to stop the qb or the pitch man and so at the last second you get this hanger pass for the tight end for a 25 yard gain or a touchdown.
  16. bit west coast, bit spread, bit option, just a mix really, and they get good production(also he's done a great job changing players to different positions(their starting tail back might be sunday bound and he was a db before gill got there, their best d line man was on the offense at tight end i believe and he has something like 10 or 11 sacks if i remember right))
  17. content not available...want to throw us a bone?
  18. the big thing with Paul Johnson is he'd be very disiplined as a coach and would expect the same of his players. and i'd love to have him, not because of the triple option(he runs it out of the flex doesn't he?) but the fact that he's very good at getting the most out of his players.
  19. hmm...so i guess your the bad type of sooner fan? unlike the other what? 100 that have been here or other major husker boards who want us back competeing with them?
  20. he should have been ejected for taht hit, the announcers were so upset about it.
  21. No way to sugar coat that Is it the defenses fault that they keep playing the Big 12 offensive player of the week? mmm...in a way...
  22. Looked like they gave up durring the Missouri game not after. they gave up after usc if not during usc. they had already given up before ball state.
  23. That's really weird. Some people I know here in Denver were saying the same thing. They said they heard something about a "dating scandal." Alas, we can speculate 'til the end of days, but all that matters is the "witch is dead." did we throw water on the witch?
  24. http://www.huskervideos.com/ that should help ya out!
