I have to agree that we are a young team that is learning to play together. I think we all expected this team to struggle sometime and i'm glad it is now and not in May. What the players need is fans to support them and not be negative. I'm sick of the bandwagon fans giving up on this team and bring their poor attitudes to Haymarket. Last week was hard on the team to play 7 games in 7 days and two of them being double headers. I think we saw great improvements on Saturday after the first inning. Casey could of giving up and continued to let them be more aggressive but he did not. I think there are many bright days ahead. Can't wait for tonights game and this weekend. GO BIG RED!!

I'm pumped for this series probably since I hate TEXAS. It will be a true test of how our young players react to a very talented team and a different atmosphere. If we continue to play like we have it will be a good series! LET'S GO HUSKERS SWEEP TEXAS!

I don't think this will hurt the team much, unlike last year we have enough players to step up. We do have Corriston back and if he isn't playing the field he can be a DH. Neer can catch,play first, or DH. I think this team will step up and fill in the necessary gaps. I really hope that Tezak will get the hardship and be able to play another season. I think this weekend should be a huge confidence boost! Way to go skers!

I have to give credit for the boys showing their fight in all games. The first game could of been way worst but the last two innings we started to make a come back. The second game Johnny pitched his heart out and the boys answered with the bats. The third game Dan pitched well and then the bullpen let him down. I have to say it may of been the conditions of the field that led to that horrible 7th inning. I think we did well this weekend with the lack of outdoor practice. This week looks like it may work for the boys to get outside and this weekend looks wonderful for a home series.

I was watching the evening news last night and they showed clips from media day with the baseball team. I now really wish that it was next Friday so the long awaited season would be here. On huskers.com there are a couple of articles from media day and it sounds like the players are ready to play. I personally can’t wait to see how the pitching rotation is and how well our hitting is. I think we have a strong core of players back that will lead this team to a great season. I know next Friday I’ll be close to a radio listening to the game. GOOD LUCK BOY’S!!! Go Big Red!

My Christmas list... 5. The bullpen will not screw us over 4. Players will stay out of trouble 3. For Mitch to get pay back on K-State or just the player that hurt him 2. For Johnny and Dan to stay healthy and be a force that can't be stopped 1. To play more small ball and let our players steal bases (we have the speed so we better use it) But most of all SWEEP TEXAS!!! GO BIG RED!!

I also attended todays game and loved the loud cheer Joe got when he was announced! Way to go Joe!! KEEP IT UP!!!

Can't wait to sit in Haymarket with my winter coat! Some year Texas needs to be that lucky team we play in February so they know what its like to play in the cold.. Good Luck Skers.. i'll be cheering all year round!
