Scheelhaase could also play WR or DB. He played some safety at Rockhurst prior to this year and was very solid. Most schools are now offering him and saying they'll figure out where he'll play later. Also, I'm pretty sure he has quite a few other offers beside Nebraska, Iowa, Arkansas and Missouri.

It sounds like Osborne, Pelini and co. did a heck of a job selling the school/program to Will's parents. Compton is definitely a good athlete. Congratulations and good luck (except when it comes to playing us). Hopefully this is the last recruit you guys get out of Missouri for awhile, ha.

Texas isn't out of "all of the sudden," they've been out for probably a little over a week now. He actually canceled his visit to Texas for last weekend and visited Missouri instead. I don't think Texas was every a really big factor for Williams. I think he kind of felt like a fall-back option for the Horns. Anyway, I think Williams could be a great player with his extremely quick first step. And I agree that for NU or Mizzou, Williams could be the key to Compton. This should be interesting.

Texas isn't a player for Williams anymore. It seems like it is down to Nebraska, Mizzou and Kansas with an outside possibility of somebody like Colorado jumping into the mix. It will be interesting. I think it all depends on the in-home visits right now (I think it is almost 50-50 with NU and MU on this one).

Williams has canceled his trip to Austin for this weekend and will instead be visiting Mizzou. He was originally supposed to visit MU on the 14th with Compton (don't know what this says about Compton). Williams is still considered a soft commitment to the Huskers. What do you guys think your chances are with Williams and Compton?

Yeah, he was benched in favor of his little brother. Supposedly he had an injury that was acting up and it wasn't because of his poor performance. He has played better recently but his numbers still aren't on par with his 5-star status. Many people have said his poor numbers can be attributed to a lack of talent around him, but I haven't seen him play. FYI, the radio report is second-hand information although it comes from a very reliable person. I don't live in the St. Louis area to actually hear the report.

A St. Louis radio station is reporting that Gabbert along with another NU commit (possibly a WR?) are supposed to be in attendance for the Texas Tech @ Missouri game this Saturday. What are Nebraska fans' thoughts on this? I know Missouri fans seem to be a little divided on if they would want Gabbert (probably 70-30 in favor), but I have heard many people over here say that if you guys lose one or two recruits it's not a big deal because it is for the overall good of the program. Also, I'd be remiss if I didn't ask about this receiver (no idea who it is; wouldn't surprise me if the station were off on this part) or Compton and your take on their status. Also, do most Husker fans think their might be renewed energy for the game this weekend or do you think things will be similar to the last two weeks because Callahan is still the head man (for now)?

Yeah, I knew Gabbert had been recruiting like crazy for Nebraska. That's part of the reason I was asking how solid you guys thought he was.

Hey guys, Mizzou fan here. Wanted to say that the Nebraska fans around me at the game the other night made the game more enjoyable. There was good-natured taunting on both sides, but nothing crude. Anyway, I wanted to know your guys' take on Gabbert and Compton. There is a lot of talk about them on the Missouri boards as to whether we would want them if they de-committed, but nothing is out there saying they have backed off of NU at all. How solid do you guys think they are to NU. I know Gabbert was at his game Friday with NU hat on and did not attend the MU-NU game.
