  1. Looks like I'll need a new guy for my sig...
  2. Well thats because they only go to JTS to do the tailgate and get hammered...thats why I don't get too upset when they say Nebraska has bad fans that don't know how to tailgate. Its because we actually like to remember the game/enjoy real football.
  3. Why is it every time I see Texas A&M on this board it is spelled like Texas A@M? It is Texas Agricultural AND Mechanical, not Texas Agricultural AT Mechanical...
  4. For some reason I don't think Griffin will fare too well in the NBA, he doesn't have a mid range game at all. Any game I've watched, I've never seen him with a pull up J, something you need in the pros. Add in that he is a whiner, won't get the calls that he does in college... I just don't see it. I think he will. Who cares if he doesn't have an outside game he is 6'10 and can handle the ball real well so he can get to the rim. By the way, just about everyone in the NBA whines so he will fit it You don't need a strong outside game, but you need to be able to hit a 12 ft shot now and again in order to get the dribble drive, which I have yet to see Griffin do. Big men in the NBA are also better defenders on the dribble than what he has faced in college. I can see the wow factor on his dunks and jumping ability, so there is no doubt he is a good college player, but I'll be interested to see how well his game translates to the show.

  6. Well regardless he needs to make that layup then he won't commit the foul.
  7. Thats absolutely crazy...I have difficulty believing they can even beat NDSU! Iowa St is only good at wrestling and gymnastics, and I don't see that changing ever.
  8. So how do y'all think we do in the Phog?
  9. DJ is the man...both on and off the field. I've had the privilege of knowing him the past 3 years.
  10. now is the time to do it...a lot of the rich people now can thank their elders for investing during the great depression...it has now paid off big time. I want the opportunity to do a half court shot, I know I can drain them.
  11. I've heard about him before. He plays at a high school with Gretzky and Will Smith's sons.
  12. I agree, last year whenever I'd watch a husker game, I'd always keep an eye on Velander. And whenever he'd be open, it would be good from 3.. This year he's lost it.. Its because he has altered his shot. Earlier in the year, probably around the first Big XII game he felt he got fouled on a three, and since then has been trying to draw fouls on his follow through rather than just shoot it like he has his whole life. I see it nearly every shot he takes, he goes forward, has his hands go all over instead of just doing the dead fish.
  13. Me too. Some of My ideal dunk contest participants would be LeBron, Kobe, Dwight, and take your pick of (Bringing back real old ones now) Vince Carter, Iguodala and JRich. Iguodala is very atlethic and it would be fun to see him as that 4th person. I was very impressed with a couple of Brandon Roy dunks tonight though. Iguodala should've won in 06, but Robinson won again...even though it took him 17 attempts to get his final dunk down. So he should come back and win the title, I'm just not impressed with Nate Robinson's lack of dunking ability. I get that he is short and its a wow factor that he can dunk, but I want to see crazy athletic ability mid air, which he lacks.

  15. I watched it. He dunked on a 12 ft hoop actually. I wasn't a fan of Nate Robinson's dunks. If he weren't 5'9" they wouldn't be impressive...especially when he pushed off of Howard to dunk "over" him. Howard's first dunk in the finals was the best one in my opinion.
  16. Did you see Thabeet's 25 PTS, 20 REB, and 9 BLKs? Thats more impressive to me.
  17. Especially with the way they are shooting. 7-17 from 3? Give me a break!
  18. I hope this was the bad offensive half...only 6 or 7 FGs? Horrible. Plus all the turnovers, not too bad only being down 6.
  19. Good work sir. Doubtful I'll be posting and watching at the same time...but who knows. Carroll and Lyons will get their points today I'm afraid, so we need to shut down the rest of their offense. Take good shots, work the clock and we'll be in it until the end.
  20. Thats funny reading. Especially the guy from West Omaha, and his "horrible" encounters. I have one too. When I was at Jack Trice this year in the student section, my life was actually threatened...not a haha I'm gonna kill you thing, but a for real threat. And I wasn't being a jackass about the game, just cheering for the Huskers. I met a bunch of jackasses while in Ames, and my opinion of ISU went down a whole lot after that weekend. And those on that board talking about our lack of tailgating...well at ISU you have to get completely hammered in order to go to the games...where here at Nebraska, we actually like to remember watching our team.
  21. Well I think Doc wanted a large D1 school after UTEP, and he came here, likes it, so I think he would only leave if Arkansas came calling.
  22. I've been clamoring to lock him up to a lifetime contract for a while now. What he has done with this team is nothing short of phenomenal... and if he could catch some breaks on the recruiting trail and actually have the star recruits qualify(Sallie, Joaquim), we could start to become a force in all three major male sports. And Fro, I also really like Anderson. He is a real talent too, he works hard, cares about his players, and seems to be a good recruiter. Took him a while to get Mizzou going, but thats what happens after Quinn. I think y'all are well on your way back to the top of the Big XII. I loved watching the win over KU, anything to knock them down a peg or a hundred is awesome!
  23. So he'll sit on the bench for 4 years before playing. I've never understood why people are so quick to assume where a kid will end up on the depth chart. He could end up better than any QB at Nebraska, or he could suck...we'll see if/when he gets here if he is cracked up to play. Plus, being a backup QB isn't so bad, look where Cassell is now.
  24. I ran into Joey Ganz about three weeks ago at the PBR Bar in the Kansas City Power and Light District. He looks like he's gained 20 pounds since the season ended. I was saddened for Joe when I noticed my girlfriend was much hotter than the chick he was with. Even a pudgy qb for the Skers should still get to bang a hot chick. Really? I just saw him and Slauson leaving from a workout today, and they both looked pretty fit. Especially Slauson, he looks like he is 275 now.
  25. I lived in the same dorm as him in 06 and he came to visit Witt and Mendoza on our floor quite often, and I always liked the guy. He was real personable and didn't think he was better than you just because he played football. Sucks that he was stupid about this...
