  2. hey everyone, My name is Bryan, I've been a residential framer for 7 years now and am trying to find some extra work to do on the side. You can call me at 402-432-7091, email me at seitler1999@yahoo.com or just send a message on here. Thank you in advance. I can provide drawings and free estimates. Bryan
  3. Yeah, I misread what you typed previously. Sorry. I just think it could be a legitimate formation.
  4. Here's my thought process, I understand we need to simplify the offense, but you could make this work, With Green you got a qb draw possibly, that would make the defense have to respect that, Lee would give us somewhat of a passing threat. If they crowd the line, then audible to a streaking Paul, if they play the pass heavy, go with a draw, The cool think about it, is you have Green who could throw the ball also and Helu still in the game. I just think it would make the defense have to think of so many possibilities. If anything it would be fun to watch.
  5. The other day I was talking to my cousin about the huskers, and I came up with this idea for a formation that we could really have some fun with. A three man shotgun formation with Green, Helu/Burkhead, and Lee all side by side. One guy is the designated signal caller and reads the defense, Depending on how they read the defense is who the ball is snapped to and what play is run. We'd have so many possibilities with this type of formation, even if you didn't have Helu/Burkhead in the backfield, they could be more of a wing back or something. What does everyone think?
  6. Everyone seems to want to just run the ball down opponents throats, while I agree to an extent, we will lose on recruiting top notch qb's and wr's if all we do is run. We need to keep throwing the ball, just simplify the playbook. Use our running to take control of the game or to be our fallback if we need it. Keep throwing the ball until one of two things happen, the wr's finally figure out how to catch or these stud recruits at qb and wr start saying, hey they want to throw the ball they just need me to catch it or throw it, I'm in!!! The other thing that I want to see is attacking the holes on running plays, the quicker we get through a hole, the better our OL will be. They don't have to hold the holes as long and thuss not as tired as the game wears on. I'm not a big fan of sweeps and pitches, To slow, Get the ball to the back and go straight up the field, let our backs be athletes and make plays. Same with recievers, quick, high percentage throws, and let the wr make a play. 4 yard slants over and over again, make every down managable. Eliminate 200 of the plays we have, most of them are the same anyway, or we don't use 150 of them so why have them. It's time to go back to basics and use the K.I.S.S. method!!!
  7. Maybe we should have Caputo and Hickman in at the same time. Caputo held his own at center and Hickman can move to guard or tackle.
  8. Your forgetting something though. It's all about the offense in your post. What about on defense, do we sit Suh for Baker, Turner for Merideth, and Asante for an Osborne or another young guy?? You have some merit with what you say, but I think starting Green is a good thing, but the rest is something we need to continually rotate and maybe just go with who's on a role in that particular game. Let them find a groove and go. My only reasoning for Green is for a spark and what a lot have called the "it" factor that Lee doesn't seem to have, but maybe Green does.
  9. Sportin the Husker Hat. New Volleyball hat! Leno noticed it immediately. Get ir dun
  10. No sorry, I don't work with concrete. Generally just wood framing, decks, finish basements, etc.
  11. That might be pushing it a bit. That's a 3 hour drive for me, and in order to make it worth it money wise, it would probably make the project over priced for you.
  12. Good point, I live in Lincoln, Nebraska, not bonded for small jobs, but bigger jobs will give you my boss's name and you could talk to him. We frame houses usually, but do decks, additions, that kind of stuff, But I am looking for side work, will probably do it more on the weekends. Hope that's a little better.
  13. Hey everyone, My name is Bryan and I am a carpenter, expecting our first child in February. I simply posting a note to see if anyone is looking for some carpentry work, like finishing basements, building a garage, or anything like that. If you are in need or know of someone needing this kind of work, please let me know. My email is seitler1999@yahoo.com. Thank you very much.
  14. Has NEbraska ever won a Big 12 championship? If we did it was against A&M right?
  15. Just saw it on the ticker, no reason given, if it was a school decision or a Prince decision.
  16. Forget you!!! You probably are turning in your gear. I can't believe you would do this after all the huskers have done for you. WE are just getting started again!!!! I suppose you gave up on them when TO didn't win the NC for the third straight year, and then jumped back on for the following year and another NC. Then you were gone again and turning to a USC fan during Solich's bad year and back on for the first Pelini/Solich year. Then off for the Clownahan years until we went to the Big 12 Championship which turned immediately in favor of OU. Man I hate guys like you. Everyone stumbles. I'm sure you got into financial trouble at one point and I doubt everyone bailed on you at the time!!! Grow up, we will be back......... Wait, you were kidding! Ummmmm ingnore that rant. I apologize, in good faith I'll only take 2 husker shirts. Deal?
  17. I for one get sick of the wait until he brings in his players crap. A good coach can coach anyone and teach them or adapt to what he's got. Pelini is doing that, it's not a matter of his players, it's a matter of lack of talent and really he's doing a great job with the talent on defense he's got. How many walk on's that now have scholarships is he playing on defense? How many injuries have we had on defense, Thenarse, Lucky, Dillard, Glenn, ...... we are a small team in matters of depth. Part of that is because of the redshirts and the fact that he won't pull them for this season, it's all about the future. Now if Clownahan was here, we would have already seen Will Compton, Josh Williams, and a lot of the others. It's not about waiting for his players to come, it"s about lack of talent compared to the rest of the Big 12, and also because this is yet another defenee that all these guys are trying to learn again. It takes time guys, relax, enjoy the fact that we don't give up, we play our hearts out and we leave it on the field. Better days are coming, give it another year or two, then you can start to critisize more.
  18. Did anyone even notice the message sent to Suh after his PF? He was yanked off the field and met 5 yards from the sideline by none other than Pelini. Pelini couldn't punish Suh for the late hit against VaTech because he didn't believe it was a late hit. The other PF, well does anyone actually know what that was about??? Anyways, so Pelini is holding him responsible for one PF that he did on his own because of his own stupidity, and Pelini sent a message by yanking him to the sideline instantly. Now TT was in my opinion a game where Pelini and the coaches did everything they could do to allow this team to win, it was the players that blew that game. And the stupid mistakes they made are what Pelini was pulling them from the game for, or not playing them or yelling at them for, and even going as far as getting after the position coaches for there mistakes. It's not an argument of having favoritism over one player or another or needing Suh in there so he gets a slide, it's about making a point that mistakes won't be tolerated. How many penalties has the D-line had this year? O-Line? How many for the O-line after halftime of the Tech game, was there a reason to put Huff or Smith back in if Burkes and the others weren't making the mental errors? Take all that into consideration. I think we are trying to add to much into this.
  19. You guys need to let the West Coast offense work. Short passing, had the routes been crisp and correct and had GAnz made good throws, it would have forced Va Tech to ease up on 7 or eight in the box to prevent the short passes. That opens run, and then play action deep passes. Our recievers and quarterback did not execute and that's why it seems like a flawed offense. If we would have tried power running, we would have been stuffed over and over and over again.
  20. Best thing about the Missouri game is it's at home, it will be loud, and all we can hope is that our offense clicks. There could be a lot of points scored, and it could come down to whoever has the ball last.
  21. Hey everyone, I don't post alot, but I was at the game and thought I would share my view. First off I'm gong to address the penalty on Suh and the future meltdown that ensued. It was a penalty, plain as day. A ref is going to protect a quarterback no matter what. When he gives up on a slide or out of bounds, he's off limits, no questions asked. Suh could have easily avoided the hit, he didn't have to dive, Taylor was going out of bounds. It's not like Suh hit him while he was going to the ground, he was on the grounds and then Suh came down on him. Flag is justified. Pelini lost his cool a little and he would probably admit it. There were three stupid penalties that sealed the game in a sense. We had the momentum, had just stopped them on 3rd down, and was getting the ball back down 1 score. We had a meltdown. Taht's the end of that for me. Defense played very good all things considered. We let some big plays go, but Pelini has always said in this defense you will but it's how you respond that shows the defense. We couldnt get a turnover but with the constant short fields and always on the field, we allowed 35 points that last year would have benn 50 or 60. Our biggest problem on defense was 3rd down conversions. That was the problem. Our offense was pathetic, GAnz seemed gun shy. Our line looked like they belonged in division 2. That was our problem. The offense never woke up, never got going, flat out never showed up. Then on top of that, our special teams, couldn't tackle, let VaTech get good field position all night. How is our defense supposed to do anymore than what they did. Here's the best part about the game. 1. I was pissed after a husker loss, haven't had that since Solich, maybe even Osborne. 2. We never quit until there was 5 seconds left. We might lose every game from here on out, BUT if we play hard until the end like we did last night, I can live with it. We aren't a great team, we all know that, but we do play with heart and that makes up for everything in Year 1 after what we were put through last year!!! Pelini is the right guy, right now. This staff is the right staff right now. The heart and sole of this team was left on that field last night, with a lot of the same players that left there heart and sole at home last year. GOD it's great to be a husker fan again!!!!!
