i definitely think he will be playing on sundays. it might be backup or maybe it might not be. he has the arm and with a good coach he could be a very good player. on the bright side of his injury, at least we dont have to hear about his transferring to NU every time we play! that got annoying.

think about it? If the offense vastly improves then it makes bc look like an idiot...which we already knew he was but if another team saw that that was interested in hiring him after this season they would think twice. Then every husker fan will be like "why didn't you start Ganz in the first place?" Im just saying i wouldn't put it past callahan to tank the last 3 games so that way he doesn't look as bad and gets another job. i have to disagree with you.....there are lots of guys that come in as the second string QB and play very very well....ie. the current starting QB at wake forest was a second string guy that got moved into the starting role due to injury and did a great job. Everyone thinks that the wake coach is great, but he didnt recognize the talent he had on the sideline. not that i want callahan to stay or anything, im just looking at what you are saying from a different point of view because if ganz plays great i dont think that BC should be criticized for it, im sure he will be criticized but i dont think that would be right.

i am just curious if anyone knows anything about this. is it possible, according to NCAA rules, to scrimmage with another team for the spring game? obviously it wouldnt be someone we play during the season, but something like UNL vs UNO or UNL vs IOWA (not Iowa state). i think that would make the spring game more interesting and tell us and our coaches a lot more about where the players are than the current spring game does. just thought i would see if anyone knows if that is OK by the rules. thoughts? thanks

ITA here's my positives: I am extremely happy, they gave a great effort. 1) There was not many delay of games 2) only one interception 3) Blitzing 4) More than a 3 man front 5) played 2 minute offense 6) Didn't try to use the same ball carrier through out the whole game 7) Most of all: THEY DIDN'T GIVE UP! Seven great reasons why I am happy but at the same time, I am sadden Keller was hurt. It worried me when Ganz had to take over. I guess I forgot how well he can QB. I got excited when I saw him keep the ball and run it. It reminded me of TO's offense. I think these next games Ganz will be QB and that is ok with me as long as they play like they did today. For the first time, I have hope maybe not bowl game hope but hope. correct me if im wrong, its been known to happen , but we didnt get intercepted did we? i believe there was a fumble but not an interception. just curious.

now this is the kind of game i like to watch!

i just read that there are going to be 5-6 plays made for ganz to run this weekend. and they are spread option plays. that is interesting.

Mike Stoops is a head coach, I have a hard time believing that he would leave Arizona to be an assistant coach, even if he were to be fired! Look at Dan McCarney, he went from head coach to D coordinator at USF. Not too hard to believe. Plus John Blake: former head coach at Oklahoma. and you are correct in thinking this.

to be honest i am interested in seeing what he can do.......a lot of those small backs have been doing very good lately, so who knows. i do agree that it seems odd to burn a redshirt with 5 games left, but not much has made sense this year. do you think that maybe Cally is mad that he will be gone and/or is leaving in some way, shape or form and will try and make the team spin out of control until he is gone? i say that because A)he would definitely be fired and get his buyout B)i'm sure with his tradition-hating ways, and all the negative things said about him, he would love some type of vengance yeah i agree, but at the same time i am interested and intrigued.

Can you confirm this?... that would be hard to confirm, short of getting the pilot on huskerboard. This same rumor/post was closed on huskerpedia.... and a couple of other places i have noticed
