Go Northwestern is the only thing I can say for this game.

Maybe there's a good reason for them playing at 11 am. I thought Michigan had a better D then ours. They didn't bring it today. I have a friend I need to text.

How many senior QBs will we not have to face next year? This year we had Blough, Patterson, Bush, Hornibrook, Thorson, ... who else? Some of the teams we played have been playing together for a while. That's what impressed me about our offensive this year. They might average 650 yards a game once they've played together a while.

Last year they quit, this year they fought. Like Frost said they had to figure it out themselves. Had the team flipped the switch in August instead of after Northwestern, they are bowl bound and may an 8 win team. But I'm glad they figured it out and finished stronger.

I hate losing winnable games this year too. The difference between this year and last is the games are winnable. OSU winnable? Who would have thought? The coverage will get better when the rush defense gets better. When players can stuff the rush, they'll be powerful enough to get pressure on a pass play. Defenses are at a big disadvantage due to the rules now so it takes more talent then the past to overcome legal holding, etc.

No kidding. This team should not aspire to be Iowa. Farentz is 151-101 in the BIG. We don't want to be that close to .500 given how easy non conference schedules are anymore. Who wants to beat a ranked team each year and go to a Dec 15th bowl and that's your peak? Our goal is championships not rivalry trophies. Is there even a place to store them in the trophy room?

Our defensive coordinator's job may be safe until he decides to leave. So hopefully we start getting all americans to play for him and he looks like a frigging genius. Count how few make the BIG all team and see where they are at now.

On the 4th down play the announcers said the tight end ran hard deep and stopped to come back. I haven't seen the route but it would make sense given the rain in an effort to get the defender to slip. Maybe Reed wasn't playing off, but was driven off by the route.

Good game. This team has had every opportunity to win 8 games. Last year we had 5 in a row the games weren't close. We're already closer then many people think. Not top ten but playing so much better. Should be able to win this division soon.

Did he throw to a spot? A lot of times the reciever makes a different read and the QB looks stupid.

It looks like we aren't playing better, but I'm certain many posting this year had stopped watching games last year. Iowa scored 28 unanswered last year in the 3rd quarter. Their fake field goal was a mistake.

Almost an INT on a reciever screen.

So which positions should be recruiting priorities? I think big nasty nose guard. Another Barry type player for the other side on D would make an immediate impact. The oline needs better development, and they already are recruiting tackles so they know. Skill players will want to come play in this offense. Get a recieving tight end on offense that can get YAC. Who on the team can step into these roles now?

Well obviously they have more then we do given our 2 year record and theirs. Unless you think our 4-8, 4-7 teams have been more talented then their 7-5, 7-4 teams. Eyeball test of them handling our lines says no. Records say no. We're a Minnesota on the rise versus last year a Purdue on the way down.
