  1. COME ON GUYS LETS HELP FRAN I JUST ORDERED A LARGE UHAUL TRUCK AND I BET IF WE PULL TOGETHER WE CAN HAVE HIM PACKED UP BY THE TIME HE GETS BACK. COME ONE LET'S MAKE THIS A PARTY FREE PIZZA FREE BEER CONGRATS ON YOUR WIN.
  2. As an aggie I am going through the same thing you guys are. Just waiting for the season to end so we can start anew and rebuild our program. It is very frustrating to have to wait thru the last 3 games when you know you are not going anywhere and that the rebuilding cannot start until the season is over. Unlike Nebraska, we have been promised a contender for a long time, and still no results. We have built the facilities, attended the games, supported the team, accepted higher ticket prices, and been loyal fans. At least you guys have some recent national championships to look back on. 1939 is so far back that it is almost irrelevant!!!
  3. But hey you are in good company Notre Dame is right there with you. Who knows if we lose our final 2 games we could make it too.
  4. I don't know enough about Tedford to know if he is a good fit for A&M. By good fit, I assume you are talking culture wise and the fact he is a californian. Well Lou Holtz went from Arkansas to Notre Dame and Mack Brown from the east coast to Texas, so the right fit could only be determined by someone who knows Tedford. As far as a coach I would prefer him over Tuberville. He has done more with less, younger, more aggressive, better offensive mind - hell hire a great DC with the money we can save by not buying out tubervilles contract.
  5. I know that everyone is talking Tuberville as A&M's next coach but I hope not. I would rather go with Tedford. He is younger, has done more with less, and would better relate to players. He has a low buyout and would have better facilities. Negatives are - He is a california guy and may jump ship to go back when the right job comes along. Tuberville - large buyout, older, similar to RC. Don't worry I doubt if we are going after Bo. I just hope we can pull the trigger soon but even if we do I would think that the coaches they are talking about will be in a bowl until January but still it would be nice for the recruits to know a top guy is on his way. AD's like BB and Tom frustrate the fans when they insist on waiting till the end of the season. We both have cancers in our program and they need to be cut out now, not a month from now.
  6. Being reported on ESPN radio Fran out at end of season. Will get 1 year buyout. Going after Tuberville. News Conference at 4:00 pm Christmas is finally here. Hopefully Dr Tom will do like wise.
  7. I would personally prefer Tedford of Cal but Tuberville is probably their first choice. The reasons TT may move is that the big cigars at Auburn tried to back door him a couple of years ago and there is still bad blood. Plus with Saban at Alabama he might see A&M as a longer term gig. Also he has been at Auburn over ten years and may be looking for greener pastures. I just want fran gone and gone now!!! Let him feel the pain - He was quoted as saying the team needs to "feel the pain of this Loss"!!!! That pissed me off to the point of wanting to resort to physical violence on his ass!!!! GOOD LUCK TO YOU GUYS - YOU HAVE ANOTHER ARROGANT SOB TO GET RID OF!
  8. I don't know why Dr Tom would allow this to continue any longer. Losses like these hurt your program and make it harder for the next coach to turn the ship around. When your ship is headed for the falls if you can't turn it around you at least try to beach it and get out. You don't just sit there and ride it over the falls. Well it looks like that what we are going to do at A&M and it looks like that's what Nebraska is doing?
  9. According to Coachhotseat.com Nebraska is the ideal school for FRAN and we would be glad to let you have him for free. Please respond soon as he may be leaving soon! Bringing the red pill to the masses!!!
  10. That kind of surprised me. For those who missed it: John Saunders: But again, I have to go back to that Nebraska game. The 76 points is the most they have ever given up. Already this year they have given up more points than they have ever given up in an entire season. Embarrassed by a very good Kansas team, the days are numbered for Callahan. I’m surprised that he might not go after this game. Craig James: Well, you know what, 3 years ago we had 23 different coaching changes. So that’s coming around again. I don’t know that we’ll have 23, but you and I both know that when you lose like this and you’re really on thin ice already, Callahan might not make it to the end of the season. Let me tell you what Tom Osborne really has to consider is the fact that there are other schools out there who are all lobbying and working behind the scenes right now. It’s heady man. . . . There’s a lot of posturing going on. Osborne’s got to make sure that he’s not left out by a late decision. I don't think Osborne is going to get left behind by a late decision. I think he's already made his decision, and just needed time because of contracts for other coaches that he might be looking at. Gut feeling only, nothing to back it up. Me either -- I think they are one of the schools working behind the scenes. IT MAY BE TIME TO HELP CALAHAN MAKE UP HIS MIND PUT UP FOR SALE SIGNS IN HIS LAWN. CALL AND ASK FOR THE POWER TO BE DISCONNECTED SEND MOVING TRUCKS TO HIS HOUSE WHILE HE IS THERE
  11. I know this may seem strange but I was kinda hoping we would lose. The sooner we can get rid of fran the sooner we get the ship turned around. You guys are closer to firing Calahan than we are with fran. I would rather lose right now and end the mediocrity and start fixing the program and bring back the Wrecking Crew defense. START THE COACH SEARCH NOW!!!
  12. It is weird watching Nebraska running a west coast offense and a swiss cheese defense. I hope the new coach embraces Nebraska tradition, option football, walkon program, blackshirt defense, and Nebraska tradition. The Big 12 needs a strong Nebraska, a rejuvenated Colorado, and a dominant Texas A&M for the Big 12 to return to national prominence. Hope you guys get a good guy and with Dr Tom in charge I would't have any worries about that. gig em!
  13. This is silly. You've double counted recruiting. And both your "probably"s are wrong. UNL has deper pockets, and we dont have to pay as much to buy out BC as you do to buy out Fran (unless the Booster scandal gets you out of it, even if it does I still think we have deeper pockets) and as far as I know we have far superior facilities. We will not have to pay fran all of his contract - the word is they are talking one year. Please we have much more money to outbid you if we want to. We have a brand new indoor practice facility, A newer stadium with nicer vip areas, a brand new athletic complex with video rooms, lounges, weight complex, study rooms ( Not needed at NU), etc etc etc The recruiting was not double counted one was about the closeness the other was about out of state recruiting. Not to say they are going after BO - I think if they can get Tuberville without a buyout penalty they might go that way. Just friendly speculation. Study rooms (not needed) I just read that, why don't you go look up the number of Academic All Americans we've had at Nebraska. We've always had one of the highest graduation rates for athletes of any top school. Do your homework before you made an idiotic statement like that on a message board. Maybe you guys should save your $$ for the GWB presidential library that 2 people a year will go to. Hope you check the spelling on the building though haha I was wondering if someone would notice that, congrats. Hey I was just tweeking you no real insult meant. But if you look at rankings of Universities you will find A&M is ranked higher than Nebraska but I am sure that Nebraska is a fine university.
  14. I for one am hoping for a blowout - the sooner we can get the AD to pull the trigger the sooner we can get this ship turned around and away from the abyss fran has us headed to. Close wins or close losses only delay the correction of hiring this clown. Oh Fran this time don't worry about saying good bye just pick up your severence check and the box of your stuff we left by the door. Division 1-AA or bust - can you say North Dakota?
