  1. I ordered the downloadable version of it yesterday (only $6.00). So far I've read up to the part where Pederson is hired (about a third of the way through). My only observation at this point is the author tends to describe things in a rosier fashion than I remember them. Example, the year we played Troy State when Jamaal Lord was QB. The author characterizes the game as a "laugher" but I was at that game I remember we had great difficulty moving the ball against them. Otherwise it's been pretty interesting.
  2. Wow, I'm glad you got that out of your system! It's easy to get an overly negative view of the situation if you spend too much time reading blogs. That's where we tend to vent emotion and "let it all hang out" so there's a tendancy to say things we don't really mean (and I'm as guilty as the next guy!).
  3. I saw the same article. I does make me question some of the coaching change predictions I've heard because Osborne sounds so emphatic that they are not true. I'm just going to try and chill out and wait patiently to see what's coming down the road. If the local gurus are proven correct, so much the better! If not, I trust Osborne to make the right decision.
  4. Wouldn't it be fun if he told Keller to just draw up some plays in the dirt? Oh wait, we've got artificial turf so he would have to borrow Callahan's oversized clipboard. Keller runs back to the huddle and excitedly announces, "Everybody go out for a pass!" Then at the line of scrimmage he barks out the signals: "Hut, hut, hike!"
  5. I'm the new guy here so I'm not trying to cast aspersions at any other members. But I have to be honest and say the problem I have with some of the coaching change predictions is that they make Tom out to be a liar. At the Big Red breakfast Friday morning Osborne said, "What the heck good would it do if you got rid of coaching staff now? Who would coach them? You can’t do that. And I'm not suggesting that’s even in the thought process." It seems to me that statement goes beyond your run-of-the-mill denial that is commonly issued any time personnel changes are in the works. It's a situation that causes me a lot of ambivalence because I want to believe Callahan will be gone by the end of the season but I wouldn't want to see Tom's reputation damaged. I HOPE you prognosticators are right, but it's going to be a long couple of weeks waiting for that Texas game!
