Not as a true freshman...

Visited TCU...His dad played there, so there is some connection. They want him at safety, but said he could give QB a try...but they really want him at safety.

Enjoyed his visit...especially the facilities. Wants to make a few more visits. No final decision anytime soon. Distance may be a problem, the cold less than he initially thought.

I was reading that he played safety in HS and is looking to move forward to the LB spot in college. He must have been one BIG safety in HS!

It is a two horse race...NU vs Arky. He will decided after his official to Arkansas. Per his twitter... from post above.

States that Miami and Notre Dame are no longer in consideration.

Who's the 2nd JUCO LB? All I know is Zaire Anderson... The other LB we have is Michael Rose a HS Senior.

It was said that while he looked good in drills and 7 on 7, he struggled during the season....especially decision making and throwing the football. Let's put it this way, it is hard to ignore the fact he completed less than 50-percent of his passes during a high school football season (even if it is in Texas).

Didn't get the ACT needed. Will take the SATs this week and retake the ACT again. Still is trying to make it in January (I don't know how)...might try and take a course to raise his GPA.

23 touchdowns and he has yet to throw a single interception in 13 games. That is one stat that impresses me.

Still along way to go with this one... Georgia is putting out feelers and he is expressing interest. Might take an official visit to Athens later.

That's a good question. The top 7 remained the same and they are all 4 stars...so he is right on that cusp.

Rivals is giving him some respect. Biggest jump in positional rankings: Moved up 8 spots to the the #8 Dual Threat QB overall.

Jared Afalava set an official visit for December 16th.

This shocked me. I agree. I actually like our chances now. It is always risky to use your one head coach in-home visit early, but I think this really made an impact. Kinda of a had to make a statement and I think it worked. I may be wrong, but I am thinking he will be "N" when all is said and done.

Said he will sign early and get to NU in March...can't practice until spring, but will watch and be around the team.

They are still young. I look forward to seeing Kevin Williams, Todd Peat, and Jay Guy make an impact. Agreed. People said that Kevin Williams might have been pushing for playing time if not for and injury and Todd Peat was a much more heralded recuit than even Mr. Valentine. Just wait until he can get his parents here on campus when he officials. That is a huge thing here. VV is the real deal. Look at his offers. There are a lot of teams on there that have defensive minds that know what is going on. VV and his parents don't care for your kind, PC. They wish you'd stop talking about him on message boards and want you to get a life. Well...........Nexus is HUSKERJEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HAHA...that's awesome. What ever happened to HUSKERJEN???? She sorta was like a flash in the pan...here one minute and gone the next.

FSU has entered the picture....they might be a "scary" offer. I hope our interest and relationship with him pays dividends. I think he could step in and make an immediate impact, especially since he already had D-I experience from playing at Memphis.

Getting Jon's commitment at this point would be a miracle. All signs point to Clemson MAYBE Cocky. I think the staff has moved on. However, if there is something I don't know anyone feel free to enlighten me. Haha...I'm glad we are close enough to him to call him "Jon."

Not suprising given the situation, but no longer an option. NU stopped the talks I don't have any insider info, but I've read on some other blogs/message boards that we might still be in play...? Guess we will all have to wait to find out.
