  1. Isn't this an argument against the cost of the ID rather than the need to prove who you are before you vote?
  2. Some important qualifiers to that qeestion: 1) A son of god, or the unique and only son of god? 2) Which god(s)... El, Yahweh, other(s)? 3) Will the Christ's return be His second coming, or has He been here before? . And about Faith: 1) Is Faith an either you have it or don't type thing, or can its amount vary? 2) If it's variable, how much is needed? 3) What size mustard seed (they come in various sizes) must faith be to be able to move a mountain? 1. Jesus was the Son of God in the sense that is a part of the trinity and became man. We are all God's children in that he created mankind!! 2. The God that Jesus talks to and honors as his father. 3. Christ talked about a second coming so therefore he hasn't come yet because that is at teh end of days. 1. You either believe that Jesus is the Divine son of God and he came and died for your sins and rose again or you don't. 2. It is not a variable in the belief in Jesus. some may have some rough times in their lives and may say they lose faith but if they still believe in Jesus as the lord and savior that is the amount needed. 3. Yes, You must have faith to move a mountain. Jesus' point is we all lose faith that doesn't mean you lose eternity. You may not believe as much as you think but if you believe in the first sentence you will have everlasting life. So, after all that, "If you have faith that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, where do you end up after Judgment Day?"
  3. What, exactly, did JoePa think he was reporting to his superior? That's the key question. Something was said to him, and that something was important enough that he went to his superior with it. What was it?
  4. I believe my Bible omitted this. Which verse states that Mary was "taken?"
  5. Legally speaking he is a mandatory reporter. He didn't inform the Department of Public Welfare as he is required, he informed his boss. Failure to Report is a misdemeanor. So no, he didn't do what he was supposed to do, legally. Morally, he failed as well. This is his worst error, the unforgivable error. He was informed by a witness that a boy was being raped by Sandusky. Morally, he had an obligation to do every single thing in his power to make sure this was not true, and beyond that, he had a moral obligation to assure the players on his team, their families, and future recruits that he was not allowing a predator to have access to the team in any way. We know he failed in that because Sandusky was present, in the team's weight room, as recently as last week, and has had similar access since the day of the report in 2002. I did not know that. You are a wise man knapp. Like a miniature buddha all covered in hair. Knapplc, this is truly a hideous crime by Sandusky, but, Mandatory Reporting was not a laws until 2009, when was this reported to JoePa? If this was a cover up by everybody than they should all burn however, the biggest crime was a 28 year old man, ex-quarterback (bodes to leadership) saw this act and did nothing to stop it. We do not know what he said to JP in that discussion the next day. I agree with 99% of what you say, but lets not burn the house down until we find out all the facts You are correct, the mandatory reporting law was changed in 2009. So legally, he did the absolute bare minimum of what he was supposed to do. I believe that doing the absolute bare minimum was horrifically insufficient in this situation. You, obviously, disagree. To each their own.
  6. She took care of that last week, ie; Met her legal requirements.
  7. I remember reading that article you are talking about it and I think it was referring to the Miami scandal. It was. It was the Nevin Shapiro case.

I laughed. Good joke.

  10. You wonder how Paterno is getting flak for this? Let's review: 2002 – Paterno is told that Sandusky was witnessed having sex with a child in the team's showers. 2002-last week: Paterno does NOTHING to restrict Sandusky's access to campus, the team, the facilities or to the press box, with young children in tow. AT NO TIME did Paterno report this incident to the police. Legally he may have done what he is required to do. Morally he failed, utterly, and his inaction allowed a known pedophile to continue to prey on young children. How many more children were victimized by Sandusky because the man you think did nothing wrong didn't raise hell? If you were told by an eyewitness that a man like Sandusky had been assaulting a child, would you tell your supervisor and then never say anything again? Would you allow that person (Sandusky) access to your facilities, your team, your recruits, without ever saying anything again?
  11. Matador, I removed the link. The question stands on its own. Do Husker fans want JoePa to coach? Personally, no. He should never coach again.
  12. Very simple question: If you have faith that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, where do you end up after Judgment Day?
  13. We appreciate the warning. No, they will not trash HuskerBoard. No we won't I'm glad we all agree. Now we can get back to the topic at hand.
  14. We appreciate the warning. No, they will not trash HuskerBoard.
  15. You got "my ire" because you broke board rules by attacking another member. You have not been banned, you have simply overreacted to a very cordial message that told you to calm down. Further, your post wasn't removed - you posted a rant, then decided that wasn't enough and started another thread where you copied/pasted the wall of text again. I removed the second post (your thread). It was self-aggrandizing nonsense that didn't belong in the football forums, and it certainly didn't need its own thread.
  16. It's a football game. They could win. Why be terrified?
  17. Not really sure that has any bearing on the situation. No, but it was part of the story when reported in the media and I didn't see it mentioned on thread. It's as relevant as which flavor of ice cream she prefers, isn't it?
  18. Her dad and the AD have nothing to do with it.
  19. Read it on Twitter just now. Both Phil Dill and Pierre Allen signed contracts today. Dillard's is with Carolina. Not sure who Allen signed with.
  20. You're ignoring the larger point, that there was NO REASON for that tree to ever be there. And even beyond that, there was no reason for them to ever be anywhere except in Heaven with God where God intends them to be anyway. But your answer also doesn't explain why every subsequent person is branded a sinner from day one, the instant they leave the womb. Why convict them of Adam's sin? Again, not the act of a loving God.
  21. It's like every 'scandal' we've had in the past 50 years all happening at once, x 100. I feel sorry for them. No matter what, the fans don't deserve this.
