  1. This is a tough one, on one hand it is hard to argue with Mangino, but the problem I have is he is one play away from a heart attack on the field, now I am not being a dick, I am serious, it could happen at any momnet. Pinkel, well, he might be my vote, he looks to be building a solid program, it appears that your Gabbert guy might end up in Columbia afterall, so I would rate him a little higher then Mangino. Ron Prince, the enigma of the Big 12, this guy seems like a guy that can really dive into your game plan and obliterate it, yet he also likes to lose to people he shouldn't, I think it is early, but give me Freeman and I think I can win some games too. Hawk, wow, no question would I play for him and I think a lot of you guys would too, I know he made the best day in Lincoln is worse then the worse day in Boulder comment but he was only trying to fire his guys up and lately you guys would kill for Throatslash to say the same thing. My only grief with Hawk is his Tuberville style at times, the direct snap to Charles really sucks and he leads the nation in going for it on 4th down which when we suck really sucks. So when he gets his players up to snuff then I think we got something but in the meantime, he doesn't need to be all that ballsy. Cally, I don't think Cally completely sucks but I said from the get go that the West Coast will not work in Lincoln. This is a program and a climate that is made for running it down people's throats and he has done everything he can short of turning into some BYU relic of an offense. Chizik, way too early, yes they have played horrible, but they did beat Iowa and KSU, both are good wins, let's give him some time before we judge.
  2. Your list of A-hole fans though seem to be growing, CU, KSU, KU, Mizzou, ISU, and so forth, let's not forget your lack of love for Texas Tech, do you see my point? Every school has A-holes, sure some may seem to have a few more, but like a previous poster said, if you go looking for trouble, you will probably find it. I would love nothing better then to go to a game in Boulder with you, go to The Sink for a pizza, perhaps this little Nepalese place and then go to a game, if anyone did anything remotely possible that made you feel like you were going to get your ass kicked I would be the first one to get in front of the punch. Make no mistake, I dislike the Cornhuskers more then you could know, but I want the action to take place on the field, not in either stands.
  3. Now I know this list is silly because Georgia has one of the finest reputations in the SEC for places to watch a game. Even 'Bama and LSU fans love going to Athens for a game. You can place us at the top, doesn't realy matter to me, because I know how I have personally acted towards people opposite of my team and I can speak that I have always enjoyed the company. One of my fondest memories was attending a CU basketball game as a Freshman in '91 and trading some competitive banter with a KU fan and we actually beat KU, he and I were ribbing each other throughout the contest and at the end we shook hands and wished each other well. My ultimate goal, I now live in south Alabama, is to go back to CU for the CU/NU game and try and sit near a Bugeater and shair the experience with him/her. Then the following year go to a game at Memorial for the same contest. I think if you seek out knowledgible fans and regardless of affilition you can have a good time.
  4. I root for CU to lose every conference game every single season. I really enjoyed their last season, lol. Damn, I always thought we got a bit of sympathy from you guys when we played Texas Tech, I thought they were potentially getting close in hatred from you guys. I did root for you guys this year against USC, because I am already sick of them, and I did pull for you to whip Touchdown Jesus. Nah...with mccartney trying to call us a "rivalry" and then skippy and barnett? Now zenmaster hawkins? I just out and out hate CU. Winning a national championship in the 90's with a loss and a tie? You barely beat misery on a 5th down. CU is the red-headed stepchild to NU. Thanks to cally and co now NU is losing it's birthright as the top program in the North, though. LOL "trying to call us a rivalry"..... Yea, you're right, no rivalry here, nothing to see here....lol We went 10-1-1 to win the NC, and we can rehash 5th down whenever you want. Actually, CU's record that year was 11-1-1. They won a share of the title with GA Tech. GA Tech was 11-0-1 that year. That beats 10-2-1. They deserved the full title. And yes...it's been documented that Colorado scored a touchdown on the 5th down. The officials made a mistake. They never should have gotten a chance to run the play. They lost. It's that simple. To a bad missouri team. At least when the Huskers beat Misery with the miracle catch in 1997 they did it within the confines of the rulebook. Actually we won the game, we didn't lose to Mizzou, you call plays based on down and distance, we certainly would have never spiked the ball on 4th down had the down marker showed 4th down, but both of them showed 3rd. So we won and so we won the NC, of course you guys could have prevented it, had you all corralled Eric Bienemy in the 4th quarter. But you didn't. It's that simple. Mizzou had stopped Bienemy twice before. No reason to believe that if they had hurried up and tried to run one more dive play it would have worked. Say what you want, but you needed a 5th down to beat a mediocre mizzou team. i Charles Johnson scored the game winner, once again you call plays based upon down and distance, it is not the coaches job to keep up with the downs, it is the officiating crew's responsibility to maintain the chain crew. Their mistake is no different then calling phantom pass interference penalties. If you watch the sequence of plays they never changed the down marker after 2nd down, the Mizzou coaches never said anything, we can argue this all you want but we won the game and we won the National Championship.

  6. I think where Cally has lost his job was not asking for or outright dismissing Cosgrove, thereby tying his horse to Coz's. Your offense hasn't exactly gone without scoring, it has been more about a total defensive collapse. I read in the USA Todya that KU scored more points on you guys the other day in one game then they did in the entire 1970's. If Cally had fired Cos then I think he would have secured one more year, but if one cannot make cucial personell decisions then they have to be questioned.

  9. Missouri, Kansas gets basketball season every year and now the Tigers aren't really all that spectacular in BB, so I will root for Mizzou, it is kind of like Duke, do you really feel all that bad for the?
  10. There is no question that some of the students in Boulder have acted like tards over the years, my theory has always been that there is probably one of the highest percentages of out of state kids at CU in the Big 12. Unfortunately alot of them are from the North East and we know how they can be...lol I am anxious to see how things go this year because I know the University and the football program have implemented things to keep them toned down. My only question to some people would be why would you get near the student section at any game? I know at Folsom the visiting section is segregated from the students and at a lot of other stadiums this is true as well. If I am wearing black and gold and I attend a game at other stadiums I pretty much avoid the student sections.
  11. If there is anything I think a lot Husker fans and myself might agree upon would be, who said the option offense is dead? We won a NC on running the option, you guys won 3 in the 90's running, how has college football changed so mch in 10 years that you cannot line it up and run the football down people's throat? I hate the West Coast Offense, and I really cannot stand the spread offense.
  12. Go play intramurals brotha, go play intramurals....... No disrespect meant to anyone, but seriously it is scholarship football, not pee-wee, not high school for fun.
  13. The sacary thing is there is still a minute left......
  14. I think you have to like what Ganz has done so far, he is willing to stand in the pocket knowing he is going to take the big hit and hit his receivers.
  15. This could really get out of hand, NU needs a good time consuming drive, perhaps a few screens, might want to try some of the option again as well. Even a field goal wouldn't be bad so long as they can burn 5 minutes off the clock.
  16. Tough play there, 3rd and 10 and, those out patterns seem to be wide open today.
  17. What happened to all your pass rushers, that is what I cannot figure out, NU has had excellent pass rushers since before I can remember?
  18. I have been pissed that we gave it up since '92......
  19. I wonder if it is too late to take the "over" in this game?
  20. Entertaining game so far, you really have to wonder how not a single linebacker picked up the back in the flat.
  21. Sorry, I try not be obnoxious on your site, on mine different, here, on my P's andQ's.
