  1. dailey will have to stay and be the back-up because I think Beck will redshirt if Taylor looks that good. I want to see Beck play though, but he will probably redshirt since Taylor is a junior.
  2. Well.....how do we look at full speed??? Are we contenders yet or what? I'm still having trouble finding a post about the situation with the wideouts. Do we have an outstanding WR or two that stepped it up in the scrimmage? Yall say Taylor had over 200 yds and 3 scores-- who got the meat of that? Or was it more of an all-around effort? leflore and fluellen are doing well as far as receiving. I see octavian is practicing returning kicks. Thats intriquing. I still have a feeling that taylor isn't to great and beck will beat him out after a couple of games. I think Taylor will have a big spring game and command the starting position. Beck will have to be outstanding to beat Taylor out.
  3. I hope herian can make it back because we do nat have any other experience there. I think we will be great next year with Tomerlin or Harvey, but to come in in the fall and step right in would be tough.
  4. I think this is a great idea by callahan. It is good for caoches to step back once in a while and take a good look at what is happening in the field. Often coaches get too caught up on the sidelines and just need to step back a bit. Good job Bill!!!
  5. A coach can only do so much. A coach needs to know a bit about the kids before he brings them in to make sure they seem like goo people, but after that, you can only do so much.
  6. I like the story, but I hope everyone realizes what callahan is to NU, the perfect fit. He is well spoken, he is changing us to a current pro style offense, and he is bringing in the big guns. We all need to give him a few years to realize what he can do with our program.
  7. I thought the greatest ending was in the fiesta bowl when we kicked the hell out of Spurrier and Florida. The lok on Spurriers face was priceless. I will never forget it.
  8. Who cares how our QB's can run. How well do they pass!!!!!!! I do not expect our QB's to run at all this year. That is what chechdowns to our RB's are for.
  9. 150 more days until the first game. I can't wait.
  10. Is it appropriate for the "greatest fans", no not at all. It directly opposes, IMO, being a fan in the first place. Sure Nebraska fans are great and all, but lately (the last 2-3 years or so), I have come to realize that when it comes down to it, we are pretty much like any other group of fans. We have some people who think they know it all and could solve all the teams problems looking from the outside in. These guys boo. Always have, always will. We also have people who are just fans of the program, plain and simple. Sure, they get disgruntled when things don't go well but what fan doesn't. That doesn't mean you add to the bad play/game/whatever by booing your own friggin team! As far as booing, I would never really boo my own team at a game. It doesn't make sense to me and can do nothing to help the team that you want to do well. I agree totally with both of you. What purpose does booing your own team serve.
  11. I hope so man. I will be there. I got my tickets in the mail last friday. How early do you all think I will have to be there to get a decent seat? 11:00, 11:30???
  12. I like the sound of Dontrell Moore. He is coachable and that is important. I can't wait to see them all at the spring Game.
  13. I loved watching Ahman Green, but when I was young, the first running back I remember was high-knees Roger Craig, so I voted for him. Where was Tom Rathman on that list? I know he was a FB, but he was a stud.
  14. Ross 's size is an advantage in that he can always hide behind everyone once he gets the shovel, but he' is small and thus small to find to get the shovel too. I agree, this is a great play and the RB position is the only position we are sure we are going to be good at. The rest of the guys look good, but ross has proved it.
  15. So true. So true!!! This must be a joke.
  16. You have to give them some game sprred action before the are ready to go into the game. You can't protect them in the game. You have to teach them to protect themselves in practice by practicing at game speed. Good job coaches.
  17. I hope he makes it back, he is the epitime of the perfect NU tightend.
  18. True he was a better runner, be he would have been running all of the time instaed of working on getting through his progressions, like he should have been. He just did't have much of a chance last year. It was too tough of a transition for him and everyone.
  19. Yea, let us know what you think. It can only make the conversation better.
  20. I agree. If they do not want to be here, then let them go. We are starting fresh. We don't need any negative vibes floating around the new blood.
  21. Cool, I almost forgot about him.
  22. I think if the weather is anything less than a blizzard, we will set a new record. Everyone want to show next years recruits that we can do even better and give tham a great experience. There are going to be a bunch of recruits there.
  23. I don't think so Kramer, but I am not sure. The plan sounds awesome and I can't wait to see it April, 16th.
