Hey all, Not sure if any of you read my post about my intramural basketball team from UNO winning a regional tournament in Lincoln and receiving a trip to Raleigh for Nationals. We participated with 69 other teams from around the nation. We ended up going 2-2 winning games against the University of South Carolina and Campbell University (NC), and losing to Shaw University (NC) and finally losing to Fayetville State University (Arkansas I believe) We made it to the final 16 teams in the tournament out of 46 mens teams. It was an excellent trip and North Carolina is a very beautiful state! I believe our team represented Nebraska very well and changed some people's view on Nebraska. Just thought I'd share with you guys.. Thanks, JD

Hey guys.... just thought I'd let you know (cause I'm super pumped about it). My team from UNO participated in the regional intramural basketball tournament down in lincoln this past weekend. There were teams from UNL, UNO, Kearney, Iowa State, Oklahoma State, etc.. And my team took first place, and we get an all expense paid trip to North Carolina State University to play at nationals and represent Nebraska!

That sounds like a blast.. My grandparents are from Wynot, and we have a cabin on the Missouri a few miles east of Sportsman's. I'll be up there quite a bit next summer getting in my fair share of fishing!

If any of you are interested.... I have two older brothers that graduated from creighton last may (one from business school that plays guitar, one from dental school that plays keyboard) that are in a band here in Omaha called Rhymes with Orange. Pretty good local music, and thought maybe some of you would like to check um out. They play quite frequently in Omaha, Lincoln, and sometimes Kearney.
