  1. USC will simply kill Notre Dame next weekend for a couple of reasons. (1) USC is outstanding, and (2) USC wants to impress the BCS boys so they can get into a top tier BCS Bowl. We certainly don't want to play a Big Ten school in the Rose Bowl (we already beat the crap out of their best, OSU). If the Gator Bowl takes Notre Dame after USC beats them badly, the Gator Bowl ought to get out of the bowl business altogether. I'm pulling for you, Huskers....... I hate to say it, but it looks like Oregon State is going to the Rose Bowl, my friend. Oregon State/Penn State rematch. Wild. Yeah, Arizona let them off the hook. But I doubt they will beat Oregon next week. That is always a grudge match. Still ... I'd rather OSU went to the Rose Bowl to play Penn State so that USC can play Texas or Oklahoma in another BCS Bowl. But just watch ... UCLA will probably beat us in the last game. That's one of our worst faults: looking past a weak opponent to the next tough game. I'm still pulling for the Huskers to get a good bowl invite....

  3. It would be a crying shame if any college or NFL team ever hired Callahan again after he ruined two excellent football programs - Oakland Raiders and the Cornhuskers. Oakland still hasn't recovered but I hope NU recovers next year. But, it's quite apparent that there are some really brainless athletic directors out there. There's an AD out there somewhere who thinks Callahan is an excellent coach. After all, Callahan considers himself a genius at running the "west coast' offense. Sad to say, he'll get hired somewhere where he can again ruin another program.
  4. Worse case: BC is retained and the team goes 7 - 5 next year. The Athletic Dept is so overwhelmed with this great improvement, they grant BC another 5 year extension on his contract. Best case: After typing in the above, I'm sick to my stomach and can't think of anything good anymore.
  5. I just heard that TO has canned BC and his entire staff and will announce tomorrow his choice for HC: Craig Bohl...............
  6. Well, the CU game is over and Callahan embarrassed the state again. Has TO canned him yet?
  7. Nope, it ain't gonna happen. Craig Bohl, the HC at North Dakota State University will be the next HC an NU. Mark my word. He's done an excellent job wherever he has been PLUS he's a former Husker (1982). BCS National Championship ... here we come!
