  1. Expect a barrage of Subaru Outbacks, carabiners, Nalgene bottles with Grateful Dead stickers on them, and North Face jackets.
  2. None taken, and I'm not trying to make a general statement about CU fans here. All I'm saying is that if you're expecting Folsom to look like the Thunderdome 2 weeks from now, you're probably going to be sorely disappointed (or perhaps "relieved" would be the better adjective). I've been to Boulder for the annual NU vs. CU game 3 times. Not once have I walked away saying, "I can't believe there wasn't an incident today." I actually like the environment. I love telling CU fans to go buy another Yakima bike/ski rack to place atop their car, and how sweet that carabiner looks on their key-chain...or how they're so "blessed" that they have taken-up residence in a state where plate-tectonics was once very active. Congrats on the mountains, CU fans...congrats. Year after year, I yearn for the opportunity to go watch NU vs. CU, and to observe the many metrosexual-pseudo-mountain climbers watch CU get decimated by us redneck, "soil-monitoring", farmers/hicks.
  3. LOL, seriously...LOL. *I hate the acronym "L.O.L."--yet, I figured this is the only way to convey my opinion here. Very few here have "bashed" Sam Keller. He had the support of 99.9% of the Nebraska fan-base to start the year. No one should be happy that Sam got hurt. However, I'm also sure that 99.9% of the Nebraska-fan population were ready to give Ganz (or anyone else, for that matter) a shot at the point we had reached this season; we needed a change, man...of SOMETHING, something needed to happen...it just happened to be our starting QB position. I hope that Sam Keller does great at the NFL combines...I would LOVE to see him playing on Sundays, and I think he will. I don't see Joe Ganz as the savior of Nebraska Football. I do, however, see him as a positive change, and a leader. The players obviously rally around Joe Ganz. Period.
  4. Did you hear the crowd roar as Nebraska left at halftime, and the end of the game? It gave me goosebump, man. No kidding...I can say that I almost felt more positive energy and personal satisfaction yesterday than I did when we were won in 94,95, and 01. I'm not kidding. I am so proud of our team, regardless of what transpires in the next few weeks.
  5. Of course, I'm from Western Nebraska, originally...so I'm a little biased. I grew up with all Denver's major networks on our local TV. Two-One County! They like to run the S#%! out of the ball, which I like. And, of course again....it's not a good year to be a Broncos fan....
  6. I'm going to go out on a limb here...and say that I believe that Colorado will still be favored in the spreads...I'm going to go ahead and GUESS: Colorado: -3.5 Nebraska +3.5 Overs --- 61 P.S. We were also dogs vs. KSU -- Kansas State: -7.5
  7. They lost to Air Force. Enough said. I take all of our losses in-stride (yes, even Kansas). Air Force, man...Air Force.
  8. http://www.omaha.com/index.php?u_page=1200...;u_sid=10180967 Callahan's agent rips into NU rumor mill BY MITCH SHERMAN WORLD-HERALD STAFF WRITER LINCOLN - If the words of Bill Callahan's agent are any indication, those in the embattled football coach's corner are growing tired of questions about his coaching status at Nebraska. Asked in response to a broadcast report if Callahan had been asked by NU to resign, Gary O'Hagan of the International Marketing Group quickly resorted to yelling into his telephone. "If they don't want him to be the coach, they can fire him," said O'Hagan, president of IMG coaching division out of Minnetonka, Minn. "Why would he resign? It doesn't make sense. There are two games to go. He's under contract. Why would they ask him to resign?" Perhaps because Nebraska officials, in the midst of a five-game losing streak as the Huskers host Kansas State today, don't approve of Callahan's job performance. "Then fire him," the agent said, now shouting. "Listen to how stupid you people are. You people need to start studying soil content or something. Why don't you find out how many pair of socks get washed every day in the locker room?"
