  1. I don't know you from Adam, shyndy, but at least for the moment, you're really capturing my sentiments. By now, even the most self-respecting visiting Jayhawk on this board knows they need to earn the right to chest-pumping, or at least SHOULD know that. Got Carl's Disclaimer: I generally have no problem with KU or their fans, and will root for them in the non-conf/bowl games, however I do wonder if 2007 was the worst possible thing to happen to this program on the rise... It's better to build a program with gradual measurable progress, instead of one year of "the perfect storm". Nebraska may be the only program with higher expectations at this point. See ya in November, Jayhawks! We needed 2007. Without it we dont get the freshmen and sophs we have right now. That maybe Reesing's best season with KU, but without him and that perfect storm, we might still be just KU, instead of a decent football program. Mangino has done a great job and it has been a steady rise if you look at it since he got here. One thing people forget is in 2006, with the EXACT same schedule, we were 6-6 and not invited to a bowl. I will give credit where it is due. Mangino turned around a program that was not very good and has made them very respectable. agree, now if he can just get them to include that weigh watchers gig in his next contract...... I hope he can lose some weight, i would like to see him stick around for a while.
  2. not everyone can play LaLa, Ark ST, and FL. A. I'm sorry, i don't see any top 10 teams there either.

  4. enjoy the victory. look at my first post. was just a congrats and then a guy had to take a shot at my team, of course I will respond.
  5. Yes, moo is a pretty bad O team. Your crazy to think they even compare to the O that KU brings. Crazy I tell you. I'm bored so i can show you the stats so far this year if you want me to. Haha... if u confident after seeing our D line dominate against MU what will they do against KU weak Oline? Personally i think Reesing is already booking a reservation in Lawrence Family Medical Center for Nov. 15th i'm sure he is.
  6. Yeah, they only scored 35 last year and we return the same O. you're probably right. Yeah & you guys scored 35 on Southern Mississippi too yeah, and they have a statistically better D than UNL has.

  9. even with our horrible pass D, i don't see Gabbert doing much against us, Stuckey is going to eat his lunch.
  10. Yeah, they only scored 35 last year and we return the same O. you're probably right.
  11. That's funny, I feel even better about you guys coming to Lawrence and Moo in KC. You realize KU does score points don't ya?
  12. Hopefully Helu is ok. I bet you guys are happy Gabbert chose moo.
  13. Those whose teams lose to ULL should not say anything about "return to power" until at least 10 years after the loss. Yeah it's pretty scary thinking how bad you guys are going to beat them.
  14. for a week. I hope it's not KSU as then they will try to tell us about their return to power. PS. Did you know, and this is NOT a joke, they are having tractor pulls at the ISU/KSU halftime show?
  15. umm, where are points VT scored? shouldn't it be 19.5 vs 23? or am i missing something? It's an average. We've given up 28 points through four games. LOL. Damn. sorry, please continue. I saw that and was wondering how you thought 7 should be 23, but somehow 19.5 was correct. How do you score 0.5 pts in a game? I realized as much after I hit send, was hoping to escape under the radar on that, good eye.

  18. just got done reading the article. Very true. Let me share my first experience when I went to memorial for the 2006 KU game. I have friends that live outside of milford with season tickets and they invited me to the KU game. I showed up at their cabin to hitch a ride to Memorial with them. I was a little nervous, wearing all crimson and blue. We got to our parking spot, about a half mile to a mile walk from the stadium. Right away i was assured that this would not be the brawl in Lincoln. I was being waved at, patted on the back, invited into tailgates, and these people had no clue who I was. I sit in the north endzone about 15 rows from the field right to the right of the goalposts. The people around me joked with me all nite and I had a great time. One of the best memories I have of watching my hawks, even if we did lose in overtime. I have been back to memorial numerous times and have enjoyed it each and every time. I am glad I live among you guys with how big of a football fan I am, you guys are mostly kind, generous, and knowledgeable about football. You guys sometimes even handle ribbing too. :-) Rest assured that when im on my own boards and someone posts a negative about going to lincoln, i am quick to point out they are lying. It is usually proven to be a lie. Till Nov, Laters.
  19. he did say bo wouldn't let it happen there. And we deserve the jokes about it. It's kinda one of those, slap yourself in the face type of situations if your a fan. This isn't the first trouble at KU, you forget our bball program is the most penalized in D1.
  20. you know, you are right to a point... but TO was vilified for backing Lawrence, and it got national attention and criticism. Not our fault, as Husker fans, in taking some pleasure in seeing another program recruiting discipline cases... that is a win at all cost attitude, something that TO did NOT do but was wildly and widely accused of. Letting LP back on the team for a NC game is win at all cost. No amount of cool-aid will wash that down. I will take TO's word over yours, anyday...all day! you are the only person in the US who would take the word of a politician over your average joe, any day, all day.
  21. You better stop. Bo allowed a player that pleaded guilty to assault on a police officer to stay on the team. I'm embarrassed about it but this crap does happen elsewhere. Something about throwing stones, you want to talk about desperate coaches and playing criminals? Really? This will get worked out and I would imagine some suspensions from both sides, hopefully for the ISU game, they just had 3 guys kicked off the team for drug charges. The initial charge was RAPE! He was acquitted because he pled down for kicking a police cruiser, which was consider assault on an officer, dumb. My advice, take all of this with a grain of salt... ALL husker fans have been down the path you are on and we all felt the pelt of stones as we watched those events unfold. you want to be upset with someone, be upset with the jacka$$ thug running his mouth and the coaches for letting something like this spill over in 2 separate incidents. discipline in Nebraska is no joke, and lately no info is released regarding it... namely Cody Glenn (suspended - no reason given, just rumor) and Quentin Castille (released for violation of team rules). Bo doesnt mess around with discipline, nip it in the bud and cut out the cancer. this isn't anything big, just embarrassing. we've had our share. the player that tried to climb through the drive through window, the bb gun incident, the player running over the other player with his suv, nothing new. I was just a little taken back by the Mangino comment. I guess at least it wasn't another fat joke. Your last comment is just wrong. That same nite your player was arrested for the incident there were like 3 or 4 other players that were ticketed at a party. I can provide you the link to the article if you want. Your also dismissing the fact that the player threw 2 drinks on the girl, wouldn't leave when asked, grabbed the owner of the bar by the throat and threw him across the room, and fought the police. Isn't he still on the team? I don't care if you want to make fun of KU for this stupid crap, but don't act like your program is high and mighty, if i remember correctly Castille was released after failing numerous times. PS. i'm not upset about the incident, i'm upset by fans from unl and moo who claim this would never be allowed to happen at their U or heads would roll. Cause that statement is just not true and has been proven over and over again at every college in D1
