  1. Fire and Passion do not win football games you are correct. But it would sure does help to have players out there that want to win and will do all the little things possible to contribute to get a win.
  2. I don't believe that our current huskers can ran Callahans offense. It is way too complexed and I think that if any quarterback is going to succeed, he is going to need to be here for five years. Bill needs to simplify his offense if he expects college athletes to have success in it.
  3. I don't think that it will happen this year, but if things don't start to improve then next year it could be in shaky.
  4. Drastic changes are hard to get use to. No one likes change but everyone will agree that change can be good. I am willing to wait for the better but I don't think that my heart can remain loyal through too many more ass whoopings that we got the other night.
  5. If Stevie P wanted to hire a coach that wouldn't have everyone in the state thinking that we was trying to destroy the program. Then he should of hired Pelini. He may not of had the head coaching experience, but he had fire and passion that would of wore off on the players. He would not put up with seven turnovers in a game. He probally would of brought in an offensive cordinator from the pro ranks that ran an offense similar to that of the Packers (run first, run second, and throw when the defense is not ready). I do not believe that Nebraska needed such a drastic change from our tradition. I think that a small gradual change into a balance attack would of been the best for our program.
  6. Does anyone else find it a little wierd that as we are trying to implement the forward pass into our offense, Oklahoma and Texas are trying to develop the power running game to be a dominate offense. Oklahoma will probally win the national championship because of their ability to run the football this year and Texas has been trying to become more physical so that they can keep up with Oklahoma. I just find it weird that we are going away from what the top teams in the conference are trying to accomplish.
  7. I agree that would some simplify the play book some. To what extent I have no idea. But I remember reading an article a few years back that when TIm Couch was at Kentucky, he had 14 pass plays and 5 run plays that they ran. Granted, that those plays were tied into some 40 different formations but that is not that many and Couch seemed to do pretty well in their offense. I think that maybe we should do something like that, maybe have a few more plays than that but I think that we could be productive if all of our offensive players are on the same page.
  8. I agree there is nothing positive that Beau can take from this game. At least Dailey could of used the reps on game time atmosphere. We may not of scored but i don't think that Dailey would of turned the ball over quite as much as Beau did.
  9. SAying that okie is the only loss is crazy. We will lose atleast 3 more. I agree that we will probally lose three more, but I don't see three games on the schedule that stick out like for sure losses like the Oklahoma game. I think that of all the other teams on the schedule, we have a chance at winning those games if we take care of the ball and put points on the board when we get a chance.
  10. This is a great site. I keep telling all of my friends about it. Hopefully they join but if they don't, at least all of the current members are opinionated enough to let their feeling be known. Thanks everyone.
  11. Just because their captains are stupid.
  12. Our players need to get their sh#t together. This is getting pathetic. All we hear about is the sh#t they do off the field and not what they do on the field.
  13. Could become another Stunz? Although we saw him for all of one quarter so far this year. Five possessions for Beau Davis=4 Interceptions and i fumble=5 Texas Tech TD's We needed to pull him out. That was not good for him, and was horrible for the Huskers as a team. No other quarterback in country would get to go back in after five straight turnovers all of which lead to five straight touchdowns.
  14. I told you gamecocks it wouldn't be pretty. I said we would lose by 3 td's however not 60 points. I was pretty close though. I wasn't expecting us to turn the ball over seven times or five straight times all of which would be in Nebraska territory. We played like ass. I at least expected to have at least one player come and play with a little heart. That was embarrassing.
  15. That could be. Don't you wish you were at practice some weeks? I would love to know what goes on in practice. Then maybe I wouldn't go into the games expecting to see quite as much, or at least I would realize why Bill calls the plays a certain way.
  16. I have noticed that Bo has been everywhere on the returns and coverage. He needs to find some playing time on defense. We are losing three linebackers from our top four so we are going to have to develop some experience and Bo is ready for some action in my opinion.
  17. I think that the scripted plays are practiced so much during the week that Joe has faith and confidence in his ability. But once the scripted plays are stopped and Bill is calling plays then Joe does not have as much faith because he hasn't run the play very often in practice.
  18. We had recievers open on almost every play we ran, Joe just never saw them. That IMO is on him, not the coaches. And as Eric said that camera just focuses on the players involved in the play. I was there and we were open all night, Joe's just gotta see 'em. No, that is the as much of the coaches fault as it is the quarterbacks fault. Bill has got to have Dailey read through his progressions in practice. Maybe its not the progressions, maybe its the play calling that has put Dailey in the bad positions. But it is as much of the coaches fault as it is the quarterbacks.
  19. I say stick with Beck. We don't want recruits to think that Callahan will go against his word. Plus, Beck is the best quarterback recruit that we can get this year. You all want to ask yourself what if Beck doesn't pan out, but I want to ask everyone, "what if Beck does succeed in our offense. What if he does lead us to a couple of Championship." Lets take a chance with this kid.
  20. I hope that this game doesn't crush him, but what good can he take from it. Don't throw the ball, it only gets intercepted, or don't hand it off, the back won't hang on. It was a horrible game and nothing good can be made from it.
  21. Could become another Stunz? Although we saw him for all of one quarter so far this year. Five possessions for Beau Davis=4 Interceptions and i fumble=5 Texas Tech TD's What in the world was Bill thinking keeping Beau in the game. Experience; he had five possions with nine plays and five turnovers in a row. That was ridiculous. We probally threw any confidence that Beau had right out the window with last nights game.
  22. I would like to stay optomistic with this season. I know that Oklahoma is a for sure loss. But I don't see any of the other teams having an offense that is as explosive as Tech's offense was. If we continue to turn the ball over seven times a game then YES we will lose every game, even against Baylor but I just don't see that happening.
  23. The whole damn team disappointed me yesterday. Leflore had the only decent play. Every thing else sucked ass.
  24. We brought Bill in here to take the next step forward, not to take five steps backwards. We were f**king pathetic yesterday. This is the only time that I have ever wanted to stop being a husker fan. The only reason I watched the whole game was to see if we could core again so that we wouldn't have been a new record.
  25. I am proud that Barrett got the record. He has played hard the last four years. Too bad we couldn't get some other players around him, to play as hard as he does.
