You could say the same thing about any of the canidates. I had my doubts about gill as well. Lets be truly honest with eachother. Can we really trust anyone. We had osborne who handed it over to solich who was sold out buy the Ad for callahan. People wanted gill because they dont want to go through what they did with callahan. No history with the team. Not understanding the history behind what it means to head the football program for this state. People want bo because of his passion and fire for defence. As a motovator and what he did in 2003 Hell no one is going to be happy and like i said when i posted this im nervous but i would be with anyone. Its kinda like being in a relationship. Consider Osborne the first wife who had to leave. So then we get stuck with trashy girlfriends who dont get the job done. Now were just starting off in a new relationship. Were nervous not quite sure if we can let go and trust this person with our heart. We dont know if we can let this person run what we hold so dear. It is a chance but we must take it. If you dont like bo thats fine because i dont know if i like him either. But believe in him and support him because he is what we have right now. ben

Bo Pelini is more then likely going to be announced as coach at 4 and i am nevous about it. He has an unproven record in my book and very little nebraska ties. I do believe that he is a great defensive co and would be a great asset in a role such as that but as headcoach im leary. I trust TO though and know he didnt come to this decison based on fans opinions. He did it because he believes he is the best man for the job. I still think turner gill would be better but i have no coaching experience so i half to rely on the greatest coach of all time to trust the decision makeing. The one thing i do hope is that the naysayers dont think tom choose bo because of his skincolor. There are people out there like that. whos to say that bo will take TOs advise at all. Might just do his own thing. We may endup with an unstopable defence but an offence that cant mount a cat.

Ill Put in my 2cents But Ill be realistic. Here's mine.... Sept. 6 - San Jose St. @ Lincoln - Win Sept. 13 - New Mexico St. @ Lincoln - Win Sept. 20 - Virginia Tech @ Lincoln - Loss but this is one we need to win badly. I believe this will set up the year. Sept. 27 - W. Michigan @ Lincoln - Win Oct. 4 - Missouri @ Lincoln - Loss but again need to win. Games like these revenge games need to be won. Oct. 11 - @ Texas Tech - Win They werent that good. Oct. 18 - @ Iowa State - Loss These guys keep getting better and better. The team is still on the rebound but there losses late in the year werent buy a huge deficate. Will be more adjusted to coaching staff next year. Oct. 25 - Baylor @ Lincoln - Win Nov. 1 - @ Oklahoma - Loss - Yea there good but would be nice to get this one. Nov. 8 - Kansas @ Lincoln - Tossup. If we cant stop them look for anther high scoring game. Nov. 15 - @ Kansas St - Win But look for a challange there seeking revenge Nov. 28 - Colorado @ Lincoln Win. This one will be ugly but well win at home. Im lookin 7-5 worst case cenario. If coaching can get into the team and really get them under their wing then id say better. I dont care much for the NFL. Seems slower and alot more controled. College is crazy and out of control. I also dont watch to many of the other teams play unless there going to be playing the huskers soon. Its kinda depressing actually. My wife just gave birth to twin baby girls in september and thats all we have been doing every saturday is watching and listening to husker football together. Now its over and i feel like theres nothing fun going on anymore. I guess ill just embrace all 3 of my girls and keep my spirits high for next year. I hope to attend my first husker game then. I want to more then anything. Love the husker board and am happy to be apart of it. Ben

folks i believe its all in good fun. I know everyone is on edge because we know not who tom has chosen or even if he has chosen them yet. Hell i made the mistake of looking up that melissamidwest canidate and got in trouble from the wifey lol. Its just some silly stuff and i guess i believe its just in good fun. I truly believe that its Gill for Head Coach and Bo will be Assistant Coach. I believe that tom has weighed in on this. As Individuals they have flaws. To little coaching experience, not enough fire. But together they mount a formitable force. TO knows this and believes that this system will work. Gill Has been a proven assistant coach and now a Head coach for a couple years. What makes him any different then any other assistant coach that was handed the reins of a major program. Pelini has coached blackshirt defence at nebraska and brought it back to respectable measures and is a fan favorate. On top of that is the dc to one of the best teams in the country. With TO as AD for the time being he will be able to help the unseasoned coaches if they should need any. It makes sence to me. If you are looking to make a turn around, I mean a huge turnaround. Why not do both. What would that do to the rest of the country when these 2 names have been thrown around for a month and TO is like. Were Nebraska and well take em both. In not throwing this out for kicks or to stir the pot. If Someone really wanted to show what this team is all about. If they wanted to show what we can do then y not do everything you can to get the most dynamite staff on your rebuilding year. Think about it. ben

Tom Osborne. See i figured it out. Hes doing all this to set himself up. Hes already cleared it up with his wife. Hes going to coach for 4 years but heres the kicker. He brings Turner in for Oc and Pineli in for DC. Tom coaches back to the old days while bringing up the boys under his wing. A trio of terror. Then after we have 1 more national championship under toms belt he passes the torch off to gill and bo. It could happen.

Like said before all teams have there bad fans. I myself was at the 2003 iowa state - nebraska game where nebraska lost. I heard so much garbage comming from isu fans how isu was the new big red. When i heard that i bout lost it. I myself am very very reserved when it comes to winning games because i know how quickly you could be eating crow pie. Every time we beat the snot out of isu i never say anything to my inlaws. I never gloat or brag. Im just glad i dont half to hear them rub it in my face all year. When we beat teams i never brag because you never know when that underdog team is going to roll intown and kick ur a**. No one is perfect. People get loaded up and do stupid things. I guess thats the chance you take when you go to any sporting event. Hell ive seen soccer moms go ape shi# over a block. The point is this. No one is going to be acting like saints and christians when its a rivlary game. Ben

It has become obvious to me that this man cares more about this team then i ever thought. He is more then a great coach with a winning record. I believe he is going above and beyond what he is needed to do. Going on the recruting trail while on coaching search. I honestly have pretty up spirits about next year. If TO is out recruting i believe more people will follow him back to nebraska because of who he is and what he has done. P.S.
