  1. C'mon... Aren't we all HUSKERS?
  2. I'm guessing they just don't have a button. Or at least I HOPE
  3. Personally. I prefer the shirts with just "NEBRASKA" on them or hats with "N" on them..But this ride home thing is a great idea.
  4. Still waiting for your original something...
  5. Wait a minute.. Was that a shot at our newest LB?
  6. Seriously.. I hope Kenny can make a comeback.
  7. Oh Snap! easily two of the cruelest posts i've ever seen. How about: "They killed Kenny! Those Ba%^$ards!"
  8. Who is the first? I know Mendoza is up there. Crouch ^ What? Man that was out of left field. Still the fastest.
  9. I knowed he was an imposter! Probably knows both words to "Boomer Sooner", too.
  10. Who is the first? I know Mendoza is up there. Crouch
  11. I've seen that used as a threat many times. What's so bad about having a "1 world government"? It would make it more efficent when we're battling UFO's
  12. It's hard for me to look at next season objectively. I fully expect us to win at least 8 games, but that could be said of most teams. In next weeks ESPN poll, there's going to be the question of who's more likely to have a Cinderella season, and we'll probably win it if "Everyone in Lincoln is online tonight". If there's a good time to underestimate us, it's now. Imagine all the teams we can sneak up on.
  13. I don't really think ESPN hates on us (with the exception of a few), I just think that half the time they have no idea what they're talking about. If you go up and ask one of them to list possible starters for the 2008 season for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, I can almost guarantee you they would only be able to name the main starters, if they could even handle that (i.e., Ganz, Lucky, maybe Swift, etc.). If you only know a select few of the players, how could you possibly decide how good the team is going to be? So for them to sit on their little shows they have like this and talk about how NU is going to do is hilarious to me. They barely know our main players let alone the rest of the team. To make a prediction on how our year is going to go based on that alone is just a horrible analysis; especially for a media outlet totally dedicated to sports and this show specifically was dedicated to COLLEGE FOOTBALL. How pathetic... While I do agree with you that ESPN's analysis is terrible, I don't think the reason is because they haven't done their research. We only see these guys for the hour they are on TV, but this is their entire career. I would like to believe that they put work in and research the teams, and could at least name the starting line-ups of the teams that they discuss. I guess I can't totally dismiss the chance they might do their homework. But I still stand by what I said. If you were to go up to one of these individuals and ask them to name possible starters for the 2008 season for the Cornhuskers, they wouldn't have a clue, or they would only be able to name the real obvious players. How hard would it be for them to just print off the rosters of all the teams and prove you wrong?
  14. You mean 38-6 in '72? (after the '71 season) Or the time they beat us 39-28 6 years before that when I was in Kindergarten? Saban? Anybody not working at ESPN that can piss off half of the SEC is OK in my book.
  15. The big difference is Tom had a relationship with LP..Felt responsible for him with his care and feeding. Josh may have a limited relationship with Cosgrove during recruiting and even less with Pelini. It'd be nice to be able to help all of these kids out, but you got to take care of your own 1st (Or something else more selfish sounding). Give the scholarship to a deserving walk-on.
  16. Um, because this isn't HS football? I don't care if you had Dick Butkus like talent, you should not stop playing a position for 3+ years then suddenly begin starting at a position like LB in the matter of a week. Moreover, it should not happen at a major D1 university that should have talent for days to even prevent something like this from happening. For one reason beyond anything else going against Cody, he does not know the scheme and coverage practices. Do you think he stepped in and learned these faster than other kids who have studied this for months? It is beyond bad looking on our LBs to have a guy become a LB and in a matter of a week take someones job. That is no knock on Cody, but a knock on the overall depth we have at LB. Then by all means.. We shouldn't let Cody start..What would ESPN say? The other conference schools will laugh at us.
  17. Braggin' about the attendance records while having free admission. They also seem to think ESPN hates them and loves the B-12..Seems like EVERYBODY feels slighted by ESPN.
  18. It's not just a hurt player. It's both of his back-ups too. Sounds like both of their freshmen will have to pick up the slack (I think they're redshirt freshmen). Not much mention about the other remaining TB (a Sr.) I agree. It's a mighty empty win if they're not near full strength. Oh...then by all means, cancel the game until all the players are at full strength....or better yet, just forfeit in order to show your football compassion... Wasn't one of the starting corners for KSU injured for the Husker game in 07? Well gee...I guess the only reason the Huskers crushed them was because of that? I know when the Cyclones played the Huskers in 07 we had a couple of starters with bruised egos...that should be good for at least a tie. Tough for VT...but it's part of the game. Hey... I hadn't thought of that! It would be next to impossible to reschedule, but the forfeit thing might just work. By the time the game comes around and since these injuries happened early and gave them a chance to bring up the towel boy and the waterboy up to speed as backups, they should still be able to field a team. The problem from our standpoint, would be a possible letdown of our players, thinking the freshmen can't do much PLUS the potential lost SOS points from VT tanking the 1st half of the season. That..and the hidden potential of Bobby Boucher.
  19. Yikes, we're at $3.52 here. need to stop trading oil on the open market, you would think that there was an oil embargo like there was in the late 70's, but i have not gone to a gas station yet , and not been able to fill up this is bullsh#t I agree, now I have to really think about what type of car I want to get when my lease is up on my Impala. I don't know if I can drive around a Honda Fit for 7 or 8 years. Bri.. You still have the motorcycle?
