  1. Allow tackling. Maybe combine it with dodgeball.
  2. Is corncraze our own version of Tuff Tiger? Took me 8 minutes to read the OP and I'm still confused.
  3. Carl? (see Mike Stoops) . Not to get ahead of ourselves (Cause that's what we do). But who would you see replacing Watson in a couple years at OC? Ozzy? Want to get more hands on with the Football team w/o all the scrutiny?
  4. Crazy, what Danny Bonaduce has to say: http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/8410850?MSNHPHMA
  5. Still, with an "SEC Defense" , let's hope we don't run in to a smashmouth Offense like the '95 Huskers. Fla is still trying to tackle Tommie Frazier.
  6. I was able to watch by googling it.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hi4DEdUmA6A
  7. They both get smoked in Bowls..
  8. Yeah.. Rumerville isn't busy now..
  9. What does tOhio State Football team have in common with Marijuwanna?
  10. Another interesting thing I just read. WVU's QB Pat? White is saying their Baseball coach didn't want him even though he's been recently drafted by the Reds..Just because of his race.. Link.. http://www.sportingnews.com/yourturn/viewtopic.php?t=440165
  11. Depends on the weather and how late in the season it is. Bowl games suck hard in the daytime, but in the northern States..You'd freeze your nads off at night games if you weren't careful. Do the games usually start at 1:30 still? (Last game I saw in Lincoln was a night game with Washington the year they won the MNC).
  12. Anyone here under 45, watch a copy of the "Game of the Century" (1971). You just knew the last team with the ball would win it..I was 11 when I saw it and it imprinted on me so much, I forever subconsciously used it as my definition of Rivalry. I also find it suspicious that the fall of Communism in Russia coincided with OU scrapping the Wishbone. We'll get that rivalry back once we're both in the top 10 on a consistent basis and both of us start playing in the conference championship game every year.
  13. What happens in Missouri on Sundays that you can't have weddings?
  14. Sounds like a perfect time to "accidently" break a leg or two..Just so you're not well enough to go to a wedding, but still able to watch TV or listen to the radio.
  15. Careful.. Last time I did that I spent $5 on a pitcher of beer and $10,500 on a replacement for the car I totaled.
  16. So..Still not counting the Bowl game against MSU as his 1st major nonconference test..
  17. Where's the novelty in wearing Nebraska stuff in Nebraska? I wear it out here to attract attention from other displaced Huskers..Sometimes I'll even get an occasional Sooner come up to me and reminisce about past games. I wear ASU stuff whenever I go back to Nebraska..I can't believe how many semi-hot Chicks came up to me at P.O.Pears last time I was home, asking if I lived in AZ. Shy (ugly) people like me need icebreakers for people to notice us. Today, I'm wearing a (W.Moon) Vikings jersey at work and already had someone ask if I was a fan..(I usually only watch teams that have former Huskers on the roster). I replied, No, I just bought the shirt for a couple bucks at a garage sale, and I don't want to ruin my good (Husker) stuff.
  18. Also from another board, the breakdown on scholarships is this: 22 Fr 10 rFr 20 So 12 Junior 20 Senior Probably, Calli planned to fill out the 08 class with JUCOs to balance the classes out. With various manipulations (redshirts, JUCOs, transfers, academic ineligibilities, DUIs etc.), things can be worked out. Of course, these things happen: Ohio State only had 15 guys in their 2007 class and 20 in both 2006 and 2008. I am more concerned how these numbers align with depth at actual positions. While the renewed emphasis on the walk-on program will help, getting some scholarship D lineman will need to be a priority for this class or next. I realized shortly after my post that we weren't just talking Scholarship players..That 51 Freshmen is actually a good thing (Influx of Walk-ons). Having only a dozen Scholarships free up in a couple years might be a little tough on us, but I think the surrounding recruiting classes might be able to absorb some of the damage. I'm curious..When did the current limitations on scholarships happen? Are there any more cuts on the horizon from the NCAA? It's a shame, since we went from the Big-8 to the Big-12, there won't be any more Jared Tomich's. (If memory serves, he was severely dyslexic..& prop48? , got proper diagnosis and special tutoring, went on to become an academic all conference and either 1st or 2nd team all conference selection). http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/idssports7.htm
  19. 51 True Freshmen? How is that Callahans fault?
  20. Utah apparently has a converted kicker playing LB. Anyway Cody is a apparently a good kid who has been through a lot and deserves a shot, and if he's not good enough, maybe Will Compton can start. Didn't we used to have a kicker from Vermillion? SD that played LB in highschool and was always begging the coaches to put him in on D? Kevin Seibel? or something?
