  1. How is that any different than what I just said, you just "haterized" it. And how am I the one spoiled by the 90's, I'm not the one whining and bitching because the Huskers are losing, what am I doing, offering my support. Go ahead and try and turn this around on me being the spoiled fan. I'm not the one that tries to hold onto every little piece of the 90s and bitch about everything new. You and Benard and all your lackies make me wanna puke.
  2. Dailey puts together a whole game and torches the overrated Sooners LeKevin Smith and Benard Thomas back up their smack AND THEN SOME Dyches makes every kick he attempts Panico RUNS with the ball after he gets it someone steps up and knocks the snot out of Adrian Peterson!
  3. How come it is WE dominated them, but they will smoke CALLAHAN? Is it only WE during wins? I was perfectly happy with nebraska how we were last year. We didn't win every game but we were still nebraska!!!! We aren't nebraska no more. How can anyone say we are. We stand for nothing nebraska has ever standed for. Cheap imitation as far as I'm concerned. It's not the same man. You're right Benard, it isn't the same. It never will be the same. I'd rather have a program that is willing to take a huge chance and make some moves rather than a program that is going to look the other way while a "Gerald Ford" coach keeps the team hovering right above mediocrity and never take them any further. But that's me. I will go for the gold while risking being a goat, rather than settle for a bronze. I'm a risk taker, you are obviously not. As long as that N is on the helmet it will always be Nebraska, the only thing that will change is how you look at the young men wearing those helmets. From my years growing up in this state and following the Huskers, I have learned that Nebraska stands for hard work, being a teammate and perseverance, even through the most difficult times. Right now are difficult times for these players, and they need to pull together and lean on one another to persevere through this. This not only will show what kinda team this can be, but what kind of men Solich recruited. Right now, this team needs our support, the support of NEBRASKANS. I dunno about you, but I say give em hell Huskers, and to hell with anyone who says different. GO BIG RED! GO BIG RED! GO BIG RED!
  4. Glad to see some people are still FANS!

I would say that is a fair assesment right now because Callahan wasn't given much to work with from Solich and Mangino is with traditional doormat KU.
  6. Well, put Junior. The similarities to A&M are there as well. Callahan just needs some time. I agree with you on your Urban Meyer comment too. He sounds really upset at the BCS and won't take much more of being on the outside looking in because of BS politics.
  7. Yeah, has anyone heard how well his shoulder has healed?
  8. Well, Dyches has a better field goal percentage, but he still isn't Kris or Josh Brown. Thank goodness Sandro is sitting.
  9. Funny. That would probably make him "skittish" in the pocket, as Butch Davis would say. Junior, I think you are right about OU's game plan. It's just a matter if NU can stop it at all and if the Huskers can score some points. We'll find out saturday night.
  10. That's the thing about Solich, he gets a great tight end, but no one to throw the ball to him. It reminds me of a quote "Y'all got kool-aid, no sugar, peanut butter, no jelly, ham, no burger. DAAAAAAAAAAMN!!!"
  11. Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn sometimes.
  12. Who cares what the spread is, Oklahoma doesn't even deserve the #2 rating they have.
  13. Herian is a great tight end. I wouldn't look for him to turn pro with a broken leg looming large. Nowadays NFL teams go to the draft for replacements for starters all the way up to the last rounds. If Herian's recovery is unsure, I couldn't see Herian having a big payday in April. Best of luck to him if he does.
  14. If you are looking forward to spring ball already with the Oklahoma, Colorado and possibly the big 12 championship and a bowl game left, then maybe you should start following a different sport or a different team. Show some faith, maybe the Huskers might surprise you.
  15. hey kramer, are you referring to Marvin Sanders?
  16. Kramer would you like to make a wager on any of that, 7 sacks by Cody, 5 INT's by Dailey? If you wanna put your money where your mouth is, I'll gladly take it from you.
  17. I think that's a good point OKHusker. Cosgrove's stats at Wisconsin are not that great. Maybe he never got the guys he needed on defense there. I doubt Callahan would doom his job by hiring an incompetent DC. Well, hopefully not.
  18. Yes they do need to blitz, Jason White is a statue in the pocket. His numerous knee problems have cut his mobility. If the Huskers can get some pressure on him then that will make his day much more difficult, but it is all going to come down to the secondary playing man coverage which has been a problem. Hey Benard, I will bet you $20 that Cody has closer to 0 sacks than 5. I take 0,1 and 2, you take 3 and up. Are you in?
  19. Amen, no one played well for the whole game.
  20. I seem to remember a cold night back in the fall of 1997 that I felt my heart ripped out of me when Tom Osborne, the man, the legend, chose Frank Solich to be his replacement. I had a bad feeling about it from the very first day. I gave Solich a chance because surely Tom Osborne couldn't make such a catastrophical mistake of hiring someone who would drag the program's pride and tradition down to such a low point that he had to make desperation firings of assistants who were there longer than himself instead of taking the blame for his own ineptness. I agree with you, I feel sorry for this group of kids. They have gone through a lot, being the worst Husker team in 40 years, a facelift last season and an extreme makeover this season. I also disagree with the way Pederson let Solich go. Solich was not a good head coach, but he was a loyal assistant and dedicated employee to that University for a LONG time and he deserved better. However, I do not disagree with Pederson's methodology for firing him. The ship needed to be righted, maybe even redesigned. I am willing to continue being a Husker backer while this most recent change is being made. I have faith that Pederson doesn't want to be lynched by Husker fans for ruining the best thing in Nebraska. He wants to be known as the man that made Nebraska the dominant force again that it was in the mid-90's. So if in 5 years, Callahan still has this Nebraska program at 6-5/7-4, I will be right there with you guys and say that this guy has to go. But Callahan needs some time, just as Pete Carroll did at USC. Look at the rewards they are reaping now.
  21. We had 10 wins last year with alot of talent back. He had 3 or 4 wins before he joined and showed dramatic improvement as the year went along. We are far from showing dramatic improvement. We are getting worse. Are you blinded by your love for bill callahan or something? I use to respect your opinion but it is falling off a cliff. Well, Nebraska lost its best player last season in Demorrio Williams. That guy was a legitimate playmaker. T.J. Hollowell was a good linebacker. Ryan Bingham was a good Defensive Tackle. Trevor Johnson was a good defensive end. Kyle Larsen always gave the defense great position to work with. That's 4 big time players lost on defense and a punter who was probably the best to come through Lincoln, don't even try to say that the cupboard isn't kinda empty. We lose our 2 linebackers and thats it imo. AT defensive tackle we had 2 guys that played alot and our suppose to be good, bingham was good but nothing outstanding outstanding. The same goes with johnson. He was ok but nothing great. Koch is doing a good job as back up to larsen so no bigggie there. If callahan would play cooper and wali at linebacker then we would have some good linebackers but instead he plays slow guys. Well, Benard, Bingham has been replaced by Titus Adams. He has disappeared everywhere this season except the buffet line. Anybody seen this guy lately, he looks 6 months pregnant. I don't know if he thought that since he was a defensive tackle strictly this season that he needed to put on 40 pounds. And as far as Wali and Cooper being played? Cooper has gotten burnt pretty bad while he has been in this season. Wali is A DEFENSIVE END, too slow to be a linebacker. Do you equate black as fast? Because you think Ricketts was slower than McPherson, which, sadly I must admit, doesn't appear to be true. And you think for some reason that a second string defensive end is faster than the 2 starting outside linebackers. I am just curious, because thats how it seems.
  22. Point taken Blackshirt. Since I am a cleverly called a Mary Poppins fan, I wanna sing a little selection for everyone . "Six years of Solich made the program go down..."
  23. Who would know how to spell lose better than a Callahan apologist? We all appreciate the clarification. I checked out your Cosgrove post...I'm glad you're at least beginning to see the light about him. Although I don't know why it took those stats to convince you that he's a complete idiot. Like it has been said numerous times, all you have to do is compare the intensity of the defense this year with last. Essentially the same players. I know Williams is gone, but the secondary is the same, arguably faster without Ricketts. Callahan apologist, or 3rd grade graduate? You make the call. And I have lost(past tense of lose) my patience with morons trying to make arguments and misspelling simple words CONTINUALLY. Christ, it's like talking to my 7 year old niece online.
