  1. Ha! About the same here - I was 6'5" and about 160. Could jump like a deer and run like the wind -- but would have gotten snapped in half on the field.
  2. Hoping for more score, but going to predict NU 13 Mich St 10 Rush 85 Pass 190
  3. DISH Network is doinking us. They wanted $27/mo more than I'm already paying to add BTN. They said it's a regional sports package, not a local one, to which I of course complained, without any success. After steaming about it for a day, I called back cancelled my DISH service all together. They told me they'd give me BTN at no cost but just until the end of the year. I cancelled anyway.
  4. I think it has something to do with the N on our helmets standing for how we supposedly all misspell a word.
  5. What the heck.........we can dream, right? Huskers 41 Spartans 3 Rush 250 Pass 275
  6. Panther, thanks for your extremely long post that attempts to justify the behavior of your younger crowd. I did enjoy your proper grammer and spelling, and could tell you are an educated person. However, the following comment pretty much sums up your real opinion of us: If you are considering your guests as unwanted ones, that's going to pretty much explain your behavior, now isn't it?
  7. Perhaps threads like this should require first person perspectives if they're weekly pins.

How about Rex in the wildcat, running option with Martinez and/or tossing to Martinez in the flat?
  9. Me, too. Hey - maybe this should be a weekly sticky for each away game for people to post that went to the games. I don't go to many, but it would be nice to know if there's a particular stadium to avoid. (ie, Colorado)
  10. I think our problem on all sides of the ball is confidence. I never played football, but I did play volleyball in college, after college in men's AA, and still play and coach to this day. In volleyball, the thing that you HAVE to have as a player is confidence. If you don't have the attitude of KNOWING you CAN and WILL perform, you WILL make mistakes. I'm making the assumption that all sports are similar in this regard, and making the further assumption that in football, that confidence is even MORE critical. Someone can correct me on that if I'm wrong. This is all pure speculation on my part, but judging from the way our team seems to be coached, at least on camera, it looks to me like they're fearing the consequences of making mistakes, instead of leaning on their skills, and the skills of their teammates. The result is what we all saw last night after the first 25 minutes. (By the way let's not forget those first 25 minutes -- we WERE in control of that game...or at the very least we were IN the game.)
  11. You're confusing me being optimistic on the year and learning from our mistakes in this game for saying "we should have won this game" -- I'm not saying that at all. Yes, we were beaten soundly. Yes, Wisconsin is the better team. I'm simply saying we DID own this game for nearly the entire first half. My disappointment isn't that what we were doing stopped working, but that we for some reason started playing a different game. I'm hoping we can learn from our mistakes in this game, players and coaches alike, and improve. Wow, one loss and most of you are ready to burn your husker gear. You need to learn how to be true loyal fans, not just cheer for your team when they happen to win.
  12. So let's say we're in La-La Land? The game DIDN'T play out that way. Nebraska got absolutely embarrassed on the big stage just like we have for the past 14 years. If we're not executing, we're not fine. We are fine. We had this game under control until Beck started calling on Martinez to throw the ball all around the field. Hopefully, first of all, Martinez learns that he doesn't have to do it all on every play. Hopefully Beck realizes that when he's calling a good game, there's no reason to change it. This is all about learning from our mistakes, and if we can do that well, we can learn a LOT from this game. Up until the interception machine got rolling we were winning 14-13 --- that was with under 5 mins to go in the first half. Take back that 5 minutes of poor execution and we're sitting in the driver's seat instead of playing outside of our game plan. I still say.........we're fine.
  13. Someone needs to fire back at him when he says that and say, "Coach, did you ever consider fixing things while you see them on the field instead of waiting to look at the film?" lol that would be great, he would prob get up and pout his way out of the room. I like Bo, I really do --- I was just really disappointed with his coaching in the 2nd half. He just stood there looking bewildered. I would have liked to see him taking the defense to the side, talk with them, and give some leadership.

  15. Yay 2 more martinez keepers that don't work. WHY THE FK DON'T WE GIVE IT TO REX DOWN THERE ?????????????????????????????????????
  16. I'd like to see more Bo coaching and less yelling at refs and our players. There's LOTS of things to be learning out there. It doesn't have to wait till watching film -- it SHOULDN'T wait until then. We're not learning from our mistakes. (See INT #2 and then INT #3. Then see getting flagged on would-have-been stopped 3rd downs. Then see Why didn't we keep calling the same game as we started out calling, both on O and D?) Our players key off our coaches. Coaches lost focus, the players followed suit. Bo has just been wandering around aimlessly for the entire 2nd half. I'm really disappointed in him.
  17. Holding #67 again .... OMFG they called it????
  18. OMG they're still holding.....and then they call it on us. I'm going to get another beer......though I keep getting the red and white mixed up bad enough already.
  19. Anyone else notice we ran the ball down the field and dumped short passes to JT, then for some reason reverted to the "taylor runs around like an ass" call once we were inside the 10? I don't understand. At least Maher made the FG.
  20. Why didn't he just throw that out of the back of the EZ??????
