Solich Needed

I will say again all those coaches that I named are better than Cally Boy. They all have better records and have proven themselves. Why is it when a "Mary Poppins" fan like yourself,newhusker, cant handle a discerning,truthful poster like myself you try and make it look like its just one opinion LOL LOL. I guess I should start calling you DrJ313 or some other cowardly poster that cant handle the facts ! Pete Carroll by the way went 6-5 his first year if I remember correctly and took USC over when it had been losing. Callahan didnt come in and take over a losing program he took over a 10-3 team. Your going to have to come stronger than that BOY ! Go Big Red !

If he had went at least 7-4 with a 10-3 team then I could have seen your argument as valid, but this was pitiful and is a extinuating(sp?) circumstance that can NOT be overlooked and we should be swift and not waste two more valuble years on this guy who does not fit the "Bill" !

We had what ?????!!!!!! Did you say PROMISE ? One game where we got close to a average....AVERAGE...Colorado team is NOT..I repeat ..is NOT promise ! So if going 5-6 is promise to you then what was going from 7-7 to 10-3 ? Doomsday for ya ??? We showed PROMISE by ending a 43 year streak.. The fact remains that at Oakland he took a 12-4 and went 4-12 and at Nebraska he took a 10-3 and went 5-6 sounds almost too eerie huh,DaveH ? I understand all the public relations B.S by why does such a great Traditon like ours have to adhere to ANY politically correct way of handling a coachs firing ? We didnt adhere to it when we fired a Coach that went from 7-7 to 10-3,so why should start worrying about how the media percieves us now ??? WE should go ahead and start rebuilding with the intent of winning titles again one day, instead of the intent to reach the Independence Bowl. Staying with Cally Boy the 3 year politically correct tenure is just a waste of two years where we could be rebuilding for a REAL future !Bottom Line is hes not going to make it here and some of you are just being hard headed because you have always got to be right..well if your in support of Cally Boy staying another year your going to be wrong and your doing an injustice to this fine Big Red Tradition !!! Theres great candidates ready to be plucked up and were wasting time on this moron. Lets get a Jeff Tedford who knows how to meet his talent in the middle and not just throw them in some WCO fire. Hell we could do better with a Glenn Mason who has taken a doormat Minnesota program as far as he can and see what he can do with a bigger traditionally strong name ! The more qualified candidates than Cally Boy list can go on forever ! I understand we needed to add some passing to catch up with the Oklahomas of the world but why couldnt CallyBoy be smarter about it and implement his system a little bit at a time and not all at once ??? He isnt the right man for this job and you need to stop denying that it was a mistake and lets get to correcting it now before we waste another two good years ! Go Big Red !

You guys that are dismissing these players as people that arent "any good " anyways are in complete denial. This is just a small sign and a little red flag that says Callahan will never....NEVER ... be the right fit and in two more years you will see why but those that wont own up to it now will probably be making excuses then too. Junior, granted we can't really fire Cally Boy after one year just out of shear protocol and the need to save some face in all of this. After hes had his little 3 year run(at most) I just hope we can recover from the Pederson-Cally 3 yr debacle. As far as getting a quality coach I have to disagree with you there. This is still Nebraska and 2-3 bad years under cally will not change that(I hope). We CAN and WILL get a better coach if Pederson isnt around.

I believe eventually Solich would have had to be let go but the point is why let him go when hes 10-3 and not have viable coach to defend your timing ? Houston Nutt isnt viable because simply he and Solich have been coaching the same number of years and Solich had a better record. If your going to replace him... have a worthy candidate in the fold. They told Solich let go and make changes or your gone. He complied and even improved his record from 7-7 to 10-3 and was still freaking let go. Now tell me where any of this B.S is right. I was not for Pelini,Callahan,or Nutt. You fire a coach that improved from 7-7 to 10-3 you better have some Ace in your sleeve and some kind of direction. Pederson had neither. The only cards Pederson ended up playing were a deuce(Nutt) and a Joker(Callahan).Again I say, you fire a guy for improving by 3 wins and a 10 win season you better have that Ace of Spades like the Return of Tom Osborne or Steve Spurrier !!! For any to defend Pederson with a straight face you have to be in dire need of a shrink or your a chronic liar who is lying to yourself that Pederson is good for this university.

Baby Steps ??? We were just 10-3 last year this isnt even baby steps this is called going "ass backwards" ! We will be back that much is true but not with callahan at helm I promise you that. When Pederson gets forced out and we hire a real quality hire like a Urban Meyer,John L Smith, or a Jeff Tedford then we will be back on track ! Hell I would be more happy with coach at North Dakota State than what we got now !

I know you didnt just say that we played with HEART. Its a sad day when Nebraska plays with heart and loses 30-3.... your really proud and thats what is scary ! If we were in a position to play for the national title and it was told that we needed to run the score up on Oklahoma and we were up 30-3 I would hope whoever the coach was would do the right thing and keep scoring. Its the BCS fault not ours or Oklahomas that we have to run the score, but if passing the ball with 1 second left and its 30-3 to make it 37-3 gets us in then as much as I would hate it I would pass the ball and make it 37-3. It is the other teams job to stop the other team from scoring and thats the harsh reality until the BCS changes ! Go Big Red !

Hey,CalHusker we got a new bloodline and added fire to a rivalry that needs no fire just because Moron Callahan "stooped" to the Sooners level ??? We didnt get any bloodline from Callahans remarks because in 2 yrs Callahan will be out and you will be talking about NO bloodline then. If Pederson isnt fired soon this will become the norm around Lincoln. I will say again... we traded 7-7 to 10-3 for 12-4 to 4-12 !!!
