  1. I'm about to drop an ethics bomb on you... Would you steal bread to feed your family? BOOM! Yeah. I took Intro to Philosophy - twice! No big deal.
  2. What, after all those carbs u just loaded up with?! Go Swift...
  3. look at how many people are on here this is sad Yeah...seemed like there were 4 times this many on last week.
  4. Sheesh, hopefully we get some better refs than the ones who are calling the OK/Tex game...they suck.
  5. I agree. If the players can't get the running game going, then go with something that does work and if that means having Ganz throw the ball the entire game, so be it. I agree too, however, I don't like that Ganz gets turnover happy when he throws alot. TT scored off of 4 turnovers in the last debacle...we definately don't need to give them the same opportunity again.
  6. So it seems kinda quiet tonight on the board, so I thought I'd ask what we all have on our vehicles to show our pride. Being down here in Alabama with a decent hometown team, I enjoy the looks I get with my huge Huskers N on my back window. Whatcha got?
  7. Shedding penalties isn't just something we need to get rid of for TT, but for the rest of the year. They're killing us.
  8. Pretty hard to have a power running game when you don't have a running game. That is a nice goal to eventually transition to, but it isn't happening this year, running back by committee = no quality running back. We used to have a power running game, but that was at a time when we were a lot more advanced in weight training, and were bigger than most opponents on the front line. I don't think it is possible to dominate the line like we once did on a consistent basis, and without mixing the pass in. I think it has to be balanced between run and pass, but I don't think we will have a "power" running game, especially with the talent we have now. Our O-line isn't getting any push, and the running backs are doing nothing but running into the linemen. Not sure what you mean by size, but I know the entire O-line dropped weight this past off season. NE state paper said Slauson lost 35 pounds...maybe this is an issue??
  9. Dunno if ur in Lincoln. My brother has it on channel 303 there...think he has Time Warner.
  10. Well according to Chase Daniels, we've switched from fireworks at our games to wetworks. The tradition begins...
  11. I'm thinking it's national...Comcast is playing it down here in lower Alabama on FS.
  12. Well I think we've beat the horse to death again on this one, but figured I would give my 2 cents also. First, I have to say there's a vast difference between being a soldier and an athlete. I can't compare looking out for your battle buddy making sure he/she doesn't get killed to looking out for your teammate making sure they get the right block to ensure their score. And the scope of criticism directed towards a soldier who is risking their life has far graver consequences than criticism directed towards the player who is having trouble blocking or catching a football. That said, of course criticism has a negative effect on people as a whole, yet it also has positive effect. The key is to take criticism for what it is...a critique. It's part of human nature and it doesn't matter what country you live in, or what age group you belong to. In televised sports, you're gonna have 250,000 pairs of eyes seeing you miss that block, and when they point it out on the forum, with frustration added to it, it's still only a critique. Ridicule is something way different, far more negative and very unsportmanship-like. I don't think we've stooped that low to ridicule any of our players on this forum. (IMO of course) And if there are players that read our comments, stop with the penalties!! That's my criticism. GBR! K, I'm off it...
