Enhance

You can't resume play from point of the screw up 2 days after the fact.  You can't make assumptions on how the game would have played out that particular night.  I understand and sympathize with the Saints and their fans here, but realistically you gotta let this one go.  You can still bitch about it for eternity, (see NU vs PSU in 84), but all the petition nonsense is just pointless.

As the adage goes "It's only cheating if you get caught". Let me add "during the right time frame".

Not to mention, putting all the attention on the penalty flub completely ignores plenty of other elements the Saints screwed up like Brees going 4/11 to end the game, or Brees throwing a pick in OT, or some questionable game management and play calling decisions from Sean Payton in the second half. Yeah, the penalty sucked, but I'm a firm believer that you can't leave a game up to situations out of your hands. If you put yourself in a position to let a referee decide your fate... that's partially on you.
