@Enhance I just noticed that you like all the Chicago area teams except for football you're a Vikes fan. There's gotta be a story to that ..?

@JJ Husker The Vikings fandom is kind of a fun albeit ridiculous story IMO. I didn't like football much growing up, including the Huskers. They were the 'cool' family thing but I liked baseball and basketball more at the time. My parents got me this NFL Fever game in the 90's and the default exhibition game was Vikings/Packers. The game auto-assigned me to the Vikings and the fandom grew from there. It was really helped along by the fact they had a great team at the time (Randall Cunningham, Randy Moss, Eric Carter, Antonio Reed). Most of my immediate family/friends didn't like professional sports much so I never had many influences. I sometimes joke with people that, had the game assigned me to the Packers, I would've been a Green Bay fan.

The Chicago teams are bit more stereotypical I guess. The Cubs were always on WGN growing up so I'd see them a lot. I liked Michael Jordan and the Bulls were always on. And then when I was learning to ice skate as a kid, this other kid I knew said his whole family was Blackhawks fans and I didn't really know much about the NHL, but I knew they were in Chicago, so it felt natural to align with them.
