  1. Huskers welcome South Alabama (currently 9-2) next weekend for the home opener. Colder and windy forecast. Probably Christo, Sears, Walsh/Clark over the weekend. Go Big Red
  2. Boom! KP comes in with two runners on and slams the door ! Huskers sweep the previously unbeaten Cougars, with late inning rallies all 3 games.
  3. Tremendous play by Anglim in left field helps Huskers make quick work in the 8th, then, we plate 2 in top of 9th as Brumbaugh and Silva score. 5-3 Huskers looking for the sweep. Bottom 9
  4. Huskers escape the seventh using three different pitchers, bringing Clark and Timmerman out of the pen
  5. We score 1 to tie game but strike out with bases loaded. New game, 3-3 going to bottom of 6
  6. Huskers go to the pen , McConauhay onto pitch. Out of inning 3-2
  7. Huskers add another, 3-2 CC headed to bottom of 4th
  8. Stone goes deep to lead off the 4th. 3-1
  9. Cougars score another. 3-0 CC headed to 4th
  10. Silva stranded at 2nd. Huskers still looking for a run
  11. Walsh make quick work in the 2nd. 1-2-3, but it takes a great player by Swanson in Right. 2-0
  12. CC strikes first again today. 2 run HR put CC in the lead. Solid defense from the Huskers and Walsh get a k to end inning
  13. I agree. Maybe I am a little out of touch and I know that theses athletes are in fantastic physical condition, but I believe the CC starter went 103 pitches and Sears was around 90. Both only went around 6 innings and were both very good, not wild. Seems like a lot of pitches for guys who don’t walk batters. Plus, it seems early in season for starters to be logging that workload. Not questioning Coaching, just an observation
  14. I thought the imo tonight was squeezing both starters for most of the game. I missed the 7-8 innings
  15. Huskers rally for 2 in the 8th and 2 in the 9th. ( was traveling so I couldn’t get details). We lead 5-4 going to bottom of 9. Sears off the hook, which is good bc the way too well to take the Loss. Finish guys!!
  16. We plate 2 in the top of 8th! 4-3 CC
  17. CC getting after Horn. Two hits, walk have cost Huskers 2 more runs….4-1 CC still batting in 7
  18. Huskers fail to score in 6th. Horn into pitch !
  19. Sears goes 1-2-3 again, with another k. 88 pitches, so probably headed to pen in the 8. Fantastic outing from Sears, going a full 6, 7 k, 1 bb, 2 hits. Get some runs!
  20. Skers get 1 back.. Silva lead off double, scores on 2 out double by Evans
  21. Sears with another 2 k, gives him 6. Unfortunately not getting any offense to help overcome the HR. C’mon skers !
  22. Huskers had runners on 1&3 with 1 out but double play ends inning
  23. Sears another 1-2-3 inning ( his 3rd out of 4 innings). Offense needs to string something together . Huskers out hitting CC 4-1 but trail
  24. Huskers trail 2-0 top of 4. Sears pitching well, but did walk his 2nd batter of the season, followed by a HR. 1 hit, 4K, 1 bb, 2 runs offense struggled again in first 3 innings
  25. Didn’t get to watch, but was told Defense wasnt stellar today. Christo was solid, but CC didn’t strike out much. Offensively we struggled against that 73-74 mph fastball. Their reliever was awful today, allowing offense momentum. A win is a win and hopefully carries into tomorrow
