  1. i think it will be the latter, he will probably understand why the current TE's are not "n the game"....... hunter
  2. nope, i doubt ABC will let him come back to Lincoln anytime soon.......would be just too embarassing for them.... hunter
  3. wonder what this poll would look like if you just made one little exception.....and slipped Colorado in there? i absolutely can't stand that team, OF ALL the teams in college football, they and their coach/fans are the biggest bunch of ass holes in the world!!!!!!!!! hunter
  4. i dred that game coming up....... hunter
  5. well said.........all of it! hunter
  6. that's exactly what i am thinking.........but who knows what cally is thinking?..we shall see............. hunter
  7. Yeah, billy c has some fascination with using 2 TEs one as an "H Back" Walsh's WCO utilized the FB quite a bit. I think we can all remember how good Rathman was in that position. Callahan's WCO doesn't use backs in the passing game hardly at all. I personally don't like it and don't agree with it but that's the way he runs it. Was the same in Oakland. Let's just hope he changes, though I doubt he will. ..........i have said since day one, we NEED to get the backs (Ross, Lucky and Glenn) as receivers coming out of the backfield.......maybe this will be the case for the IUU game.........i hope hunter
  8. if it is a close game, which i think everyone concedes......turnovers will decide it +3 for NU would give us the game IMHO...assuming the offense has picked it up a notch, which we hope will be the case........ hunter
  9. yep, Norm Chow runs his own type of offense, characterized as the WCO, hell anything that looks like a spread is characterized as the WCO nowadays.... Chow will be a college head coach in a couple years or less, he understands the game quite well IMHO...... hunter
  10. just as long as we can add some O linemen and a couple TE's and WR's, that alone should be a big help...... hunter
  11. no, i think our WR's are in trouble, i can live with this, i just hope we don't see Carriker next, dropping back in the pocket loooking for Lucky out in the flat...lol incidently any WR recruits that are worth a hill of beans, can expect to start next year for the Huskers.........let's hope by then Beck will be tossing the ball and maybe the O can light up the board.....i do think that might happen...next year hunter
  12. i thought they looked common against Army, hell we got a shot at beating those guys in Lincoln, i think hunter
  13. well that is interesting.........guess it is not much of a testimony to out WR's.....but are we gonna teach Lucky to play that position during a 2 week bye? i guess i can't fault Cally for looking at all his options, but don't you think he knew the WR position was weak BEFORE the season began? i mean, here we are trying to set up a WCO and we know our receivers can't run routes, can't get seperation and can't catch the ball.......and NOW is the time to experiment don't get me wrong here, i hope he gets in on some plays and proves productive, but damn who knows what postion anyone will be playing for long? If Lucky is that great of a weapon (and i think he is) do we not have any other way to get him the ball from the backfield, slot or some other postion? WR?? or shouldn't they have at least tried him at that position during the fall practice sessions?? I am really not trying to get down on Cally here, but hell, the damn confusion for who plays where continues...... hunter
  14. i agree, what i don't like is these big names not even coming to visit.....to me if there is nothing but school and football to focus on and those were really important to you, why would you not at least come take a look at NU? i think the other part of this battle to get the best surrounds the high profile TV coverage given to the SEC and Texas, SC, ND schools......that part will probably never change and alot of these guys like the high profile exposure hunter
  15. anyone have any info on how Harrison Beck is doing? just wondering if he is making any significant progress in grasping the WCO? hunter
  16. is it my imagination or what? seems like few of the high profile guys are interested in us......1-5% chance of landing these guys makes reading and hoping of getting them pretty disheartening, so i guess we continue to go after the Juco guys? i hope i am wrong here, but it seems that our great recruiters are slipping now, especially when you see how many great players have already comitted to the Florida and Texas schools........ hunter
  17. so far it is a postion not utlized to it's potential.......pretty obvious up to this point, not that things might not change. hunter
  18. i agree, it is bias, but what is not is the pitiful offensive performance.....having an 8 lb. playbook is not a guarantee that the kids can learn it......i will quit carping for now and be patient for 2-3 more games, but if there is no noticable improvement i will be all over cally's coaching/playcalling.......no matter how good or bad the players, there should be OBVIOUS IMPROVEMENT HALF-WAY THROUGH THE SEASON! hunter
  19. beck is just not ready.....cally just needs to stop the fancy NFL sh#t and have his players execute the plays.....once they are comfortable they can shift later if he still thinks it makes any damn diffrence.....my bitch is they come out in the 2nd half and still run the same inaffective bs formations.....that is my bitch with the play calling and all the shifts, first time this year we went to the 2 TE formation extensively and he has to thow in the shifts.....totally fing worthless! hunter
  20. and now days ff kids like to go where they can play as frosh.....not saying that is realistic in many cases, but it can affect your recrutiing if you rs most or all of the young guys........ hunter
  21. what does that have to do with the post? Did you mention Dynasty? Are you talking like SF. 49rs type? you know the one in the 80's and 90's. dynasty........oh wait, that's right, it is not in the dictionarys that they sell in Iowa
